   Are people really doing this BS again? First they refuse to release the season all at once instead giving it to us weekly. And apparently we also only get half the season, and the other half whenever.

      I've never understood the whole anti-binge-release movement. OK so you

      can't control the pace you consume content, why does that give you the

      right to disrupt my enjoyment of it?

      If it's about "pacing," it's not some chemically addictive substance where it becomes an

      entirely new requirement for their body, it's a goddamn tv show. Turn it

      off.

      If it's about reducing crunch, just release the whole thing later. People get mad at delays, but in the end if it comes out as a good product people don't care. If delays were more normalized, with transparent explanations for why, people probably wouldn't get upset about them at all

      if it's about getting people to pay for streaming services longer, streaming services can get fucked until they provide a better service than pirate sites anyway.

      There's no actual benefit to anyone.

      I think the break is to help the artists breathe a little, but I guess they could have waited to drop the whole season until later to avoid a few weeks of break. It's not a break for cash-grabbing sake or anything, or so I've been hearing online.

      the break is so the show doesn't get overshadowed by the chaos of the holidays. its coming back early January don't worry. I was both a Steven universe and gravity falls fan, hiatus' are no big deal. if you are not patient and really want to know what happens next there is a great comic you can read to find out.

         Yeah, it's like a 4-5 week break and not remotely a big deal. Binge releases suck, too.

      Weekly releases are better than binge drops in a lot of ways for engagement and enjoyment, but split seasons are not.
