  1. Since you guys like Hazbin Hotel, I highly recommend watching Good Omens. It has 12 episodes so far (2 seasons) with a third and final season on the way. It has a similar vibe to Hazbin Hotel – in Good Omens, an angel and a demon have to work together to stop the apocalypse and save the planet.

  2. Speaking of Susan you guys should watch Monsters vs Aliens. After Invincible and Vox Machina, I’m glad Amazon picked this up. Show was so good. And W for our boy, Sir Repentious 💜💜

  3. Episode 8 really had a good bunch of jawdrapping moments. From Adam just shutting off Alastor’s power to the surprise of everyone, including Alastor himself, Sir Pentious just getting atomized by the Adam, Charlie in her demon form catching Adam’s punch and Lucifer showing his demon form and also why he’s the big boss of hell.
He’s still so polite throughout but Lucifer has a pretty solid aura of intimidation, if he wants to. I especially love his eyes not just turning red like Charlie’s but actually glowing red.

  4. If you’re looking for something really interesting check out Midnight Gospel on Netflix. It’s a rewrite of a podcast in the same name. It’s so heavy on the philosophical topics in life it’s a true drug trip.

  5. I personally loved season 1 overall!
My only real complaints are the pacing, especially with the last two episodes. BUT that’s kind of on Amazon for only giving them 8 episodes. I know Viv said something about being able to finishing it in 4 season but that she’d like 8 season total. Which would only be 64 episodes, but it’d give them more room to pace things a bit better.
And that I didn’t enjoy the songs in these two episodes as much… Bc half of them were just reprises of older songs. Vaggie and Charlies duet was so short and just a mini version of the song Lucifer sung with Charlie in episode 5. I feel like reprises can be great if done in a similar context and there’s enough time between the two happening, like how the finale song was a reprise of the very first song “happy day in hell” but with everyone else stepping up to be that confident support. But with the VaggiexCharlie duet and there just wasn’t enough time.. and that was Charlies song with her dad originally so it just feels weird imo.

But overall I really enjoyed almost everything and enjoyed like 14/16 of the songs. So I’d call it a win! I’m excited to see where they take everything.

    1. And without a thump we lose the ability to grab. So choosing either the pinky or thump is a BAD move either way. Middle finger is probably the best choice.

  6. So I just had a random thought if demons who are redeemed go to heaven when they die what about angels who fall when they die. Starting to think Adam isn’t fully gone.

      1. I remember reading that they just effectively cease to exist when killed however we now know that they can go to heaven if they make the cut which seems to be only a recent occurrence

  7. Did you guys notice that in the Pilot episode for Hazbin Hotel, Angel Dust asked teasingly to Vaggie when he was escorted inside the limousine “Too late, toots. Wait! Would that make me double dead? Hah, and where exactly do I go? To Double Hell? Hahahahahahahaha! Sorry, you’re stuck with me, bitch – get used to it.” Now I know it’s been four-five years but notice how it’s never mentioned that they go to Heaven. Of course, I bet there is a guideline such as making a sacrifice, etc. but it’s very interesting how this is mentioned in the first episode (technically) in the series.

  8. im kinda mixed on hazbin hotel. the humor is great and its entertaining enough, but i feel like the plot could have had a bit more breathing room. everything happens so fast, its crazy. i get that its a musical but imo its time that could have been spent progressing the story and fleshing out the characters. we’ll see how season 2 turns out i guess.

      1. Doubt it, actually gurantee that’s untrue. Even in Vivs independent show where the team is given an unlimited amount of time to work, they still manage to rush the plot like it’s a race. Both shows are equally bad at pacing and there’s no other excuse except the writers not slowing it down and letting the plot thicken.

        1. That would entail needing more money just to animate. With Helluva, we get 1 episode per 2 months. They have to work on and pay to do all that. With Hazbin, they only were given 8 episodes a season, but it was released in the span of a month.
If they aren’t given the budget, then of course they’re gonna end up cramming things into those 8 episodes. Invincible got 40 minutes of run time, but Hazbin only got 20 minutes.
There’s bound to be constraints when there’s an intricate story to tell, but you’ve only been given 8 episodes with 20 minutes.
When it came down to it, all of these episodes ended up being vital, with the exception of episode 1 since they might have had to reintroduce the characters. Everyone stood out and got their moments. And they still managed to sprinkle plot across episodes. Such as with Angel, Husk, and Sir Pentious as individuals as well as their development together. They did what they could. But this is a product of streaming. Luckily, we already knew they would get a season 2.
However, that’s still just 16 episodes. Less than what would have been a season no more than a decade ago.
Another additional reason it feels crammed is because Prime decided to release episodes 2 at a time when each episode has its own bomb to drop.
We really only needed to focus on one a week. Helluva does plenty in 20 minutes. However, after we gobble up the information, we’re also given plenty of time to digest between each episode drop. About 2 months.
Hazbin didn’t get that caviat, so we’re left with feeling cramped on what is essentially a miniseries at the moment.

  9. Seeing this season 1 finale filled me with like a dozen questions. And considering there’s at least 2 more seasons on the way I am all the more curious.
I can’t get a read on Alastor and his motivations at all, does he actually wanna guide charlie or is he just trying to break out of this sudden deal.
Why would lilith abandon her family to go to heaven for 7 years and make a weird plot to kill Adam.
With Pentious being in heaven does that mean Sera and Emily will cancel the exterminations and work with the hotel.
Why are the cannibals the nicest people in Hell.
Who’s actually going to be the villain at the end of the series.
The Vees are inconsequential and to be honest will be boring villains considering alastor could wipe them pretty much on his own now

    1. Honestly these last episodes gave me even more questions regarding Alastor than I did before. I’ve seen a lot of people very confidently predicting he’ll be like the final Villain but idk. I think that would be too predictable. Like we’ve known he’s evil and shady since the beginning that wouldn’t really be much of a surprise, but I have no idea where his story is going.

I think Lilith’s deal was WITH Adam, not to kill him. Which is why Lute is forcing her to deal with the situation now. What that deal was and why are still entirely different questions.

I’m hoping there’s more to the Vee’s (especially cause I love Christian Borle and I want more of him lol) but yeah nothing shown so far has really impressed me. Possibly get some backstory to Vox and Alastor and their previous fight which could get us more invested?

    2. Slight correction. I shouldn’t say the Vees will be “boring” per se, I mean Velvettes song respectless is rent free in my head still.
I just mean they’re not a threat and it’s kind of embarrassing to think of them as of they could do anything to anyone

      1. I think we just haven’t seen their actual powers yet. The show so far has failed to make them threatening together since they haven’t actually fought and only have power industry wise. Really goes to show that there should have been more episodes in the season to flesh out characters like them because right now they’re just jokes

      1. Was literally about to write about this! Like that song and video are just too beautiful for words! Its sad but my god the voice actor can truly reach down into your soul with the emotions in his voice!!! I hope they react to it soon!
