Euron with his stupid crown of driftwood I can't 🤣
Dammit! I really thought Hodor would become the king! How could I be so wrong!?
Is Walder Frey also Argus Filch? I hear him and think of his line in Harry Potter, "You killed my cat" 🤣🤣🤣
Haha, I think Sean called him Squib when he first shower up.
Same actor indeed! David Bradley
Can't believe it took me this long to draw the comparison between Arya and Batman.
Dead parents with vengence plot and training with the League of Assasins led by Ra's al Ghul who is effectively immortal through Lazarus Pit rejuvination, etc. Sounds very similar to Arya's story...
There are so many good character arcs, im so glad yall started this show
Hold The Door o7
waiting ofr new episodes feels like torture
This season does get some hate (some of it valid), but it also might be the most popular season aside from maybe 4. You guys are not really in the minority for enjoying it.
“…guy with the stone arm”
“Jorah”
“Yeah, thank you, Jarah”
XD
🤣🤣🤣 I read this as that happened 😂
Oh I’m just so excited for yall to finish this season. Thanks for all the hard work great video!
Wild how Littlefinger was a conniving genius and then as soon as they ran out of book material, he becomes and incompetant idiot. He's the first example of this, but he definitely won't be the last.
*an
I think the giggling about holding the door is more like "omg you don't even know the trauma you're gonna experience" it's like finding someone who never heard about harambe
Right, "The Lannisters send their regards" was also a meme and it's not like that wasn't traumatizing.

My guess - The green fairy girls never had control over the white walkers. they were kind of an A-bomb that they dropped on mankind as a last ditch effort to save their home. They probably hoped that the walkers would cause significant enough damage and they would clean up whatever survived, but the white walkers were just too good at what they do
So turns out I will always cry at the Hodor scene
Hold the door! What a crazy scene! When I first watched this, I had the wildest existential dread. Hodor experienced his own death DECADES ago. He essentially got stuck in a sort of time-loop. This event has already happened to him, and it was always going to end this way. Idk what current Hodor remembers of his future, but that moment where he holds the door is the last experience he had as Willis and simultaneously the last experience he has as Hodor.
Man I can’t believe y’all are half way into season 6 already. I might need to rewatch these reactions because so much happens in this show
Oh that's Euron openly admitting to kinslaying to zero reaction.
Theres a lot to dislike about the later seasons but the utter destruction of Euron is probably D&Ds biggest crime
Wat epic 2 episodes!!! Hold the door broke me again cried when that scene started I was crying. I never understood that either! Loving these reactions.
Damnit supposed to be What an epic*
Bran didn’t change the past, but it is a time loop. While visiting the past and seeing young Hodor (Wylis), he wargs into present day Hodor. This accidentally links past Hodor and present Hodor, so young Hodor is experiencing what present day Hodor is going through and is hearing Meera yell “Hold the Door!”
I also love that you brought up Loki in the same vid as the episode with the acting troope. Can't wait for the Loki show...soooon, iykyk
54:30 broke my heart because I knew he was dying and thinking to himself “Hold the Door!” Over n over while suffering but still holding on.
I heard a rumor that, at this point in the show, when the CGI budget was concerned there was a question. Dragons or wolves? Can't do both as much. Pick one. Hence why summer sorta stupidly sacrificed themself, other than also setting up the Uncle Benjen clutch save.
Doesn't help that the writers just really didn't care about any of the magic plots that weren't Brans or Melisandre, the direwolves and the Starks being Wargs get dropped and then so do all the wolves
"Have you ever chewed 5 gum" sent me
....They have their own currency. This was the first thing you learned of them. HOW did you not realize they were hitmen from that point on? xD
this isnt a spoiler, but season 7 isn't a full season either. Season 7 has 7 episodes, and season 8 has 6. This is the last full 10 episode season.
it doesnt prove they can change the past more the opposite, hodor always was this way because of this. whatever the reality they lived in was, is the reality including their actions affecting the past, so nothing thats done can ever be changed
The memes of people being asked to hold the door and then collapsing and crying from trauma was so good.
People saying about the time to build the ships, guys, is a show with dragons, reality is not a thing, just ignore those things, the show it's amazing.
Fair enough. I think it wouldn't be such a sticking point if earlier GoT seasons hadn't already set a precedent. The trip that King Robert and company takes to and from Winterfell. How long it took for the Dragons to reach their current size. Danny's traveling with and after Khal Drogo. If those things had simply been skipped over, it would be easier to suspend belief now.
Sure, everything is amazing when you ignore the flaws. The show having dragons doesn't mean that there aren't any rules, just that the rules are not the same as the real world. This is fantasy 101, no one wants a story without consistency.
Sure but the show also specifically mentions how the Iron Islands are so barren that the only way the Ironborn can make a living is by leaving so where's the wood?
Yes, it's a show with dragons, but good fantasy writing creates consistent rules for its worldbuilding and follows them. You have to think of it as a different set of rules from our world, but still ultimately ruled by logic. When you create a plot point purely out of convenience, which breaks that logic and worldbuilding, that's just poor or lazy writing. A good writer would find a way to achieve what they want without throwing all logical consistency out the window.
.
On the other hand, as a viewer, for the sake of maximizing enjoyment, I agree that it's best to just accept and move on from sub-par writing decisions like this. Because you can't change how it was written, and if you hyper-fixate on details like this then ultimately you're just sabotaging your enjoyment of the show.
The Fantasy genre does not mean all logic goes out the window.
It's been years since I re-watched GOT, but the reveal of why Hodor is the way he is still gives me chills to this day every time I watch it. It's so well done and the value it gives the previous seasons is insane. Probably my second favourite scene in the whole show (the favourite is coming up soon and I just know it will have you guys hyped as hell so I can't wait)

You are right though, this is my favourite season of all. Maybe the writing isn't as good as first 4 seasons and they changed some characters drastically, but it makes up with amazing scenes. Anyway, enjoy, this season gets even better towards the end :)
0:15 does this new schedule maybe alle for 2 GoT uploads per Week ? That would be amazing
White walkers are alive human beings created/ transformed by magic into these human beings. The Knight King is the only creature that has this power. But any White walker can raise the dead into a zombie creature (Wights). Most of the White Walkers are ancient and were among the first men.
Hold the door. Beautifully, heartbreaking writing. I don’t understand ( and very envious) how someone’s mind can come up with that. When me and my fella watched it for the first time, we sat there in stunned silence, its perfection. *chefs kiss*
The 1st walk of atonement they showed was the former high septon
btw building ships like that takes about 18 months, even if tthey built all of them simultaneously(which is impossible) it would take that long.
they wouldnt be in time to do anything
I hate that Sansa said "I trust him"...
Since you only recognize Jonathan Pryce from the Pirates movies, you should really check out the movie 'Brazil'.
The amount of people colloquially saying “holdthedoor!” after this episode aired was insane. It was coping mechanism recognizing our collective loss and depression. It’s one of the big moments like the Red and Purple Weddings, Ned’s beheadings, etc. just one of those moments that lasts. RIP Hodor. One of the best. Died a hero. Against his will. Sweet gentle giant.
This is how we would ask each other to hold the elevator for us at work. We'd just say "Hodor?" and they'd hold it lol
Also Bran lost the last connection to his life as Bran before becoming the Three Eyed Raven. Hodor had been with him for years.
The white walkers are the male babies that Craster left in the forest for the Night King to turn, there are a lot more than 5. The army of the dead are corpses reanimated by a white walker. The first white walker is the Night King, he was created by the children of the forest. The night king looks a lot like the other white walkers, just look for the crown to tell him apart.
I was curious, so I looked it up. To build a battle-ready ship with the technology available at roughly the time period GoT would take place in our world, it takes 1 year for the smallest of ships and around 5 for the largest. That's considering they have all the wood needed to make the boards. Then, to spin, weave, and sew all the linen needed for all those sails...
Let's assume by some miracle they have that amount of trees available to them on islands and the nearby shores. To have that much flax, they would need *thousands* of acres worth. Assuming they have some available already, that's still years of hundreds of women spinning if each spun every day for 18 hours—and that's if they are using spinning wheels. They don't seem to be using them all that often from what we've seen, so I'm going to assume this is the age of drop spindles alone, which would take multitudes longer to spin.
I think Euron might've bitten off more than he can chew lol.
Hold. The. Door
And he held the door.
No you
