and the cut content really begins now. No other Targareyns, no more summer isles stuff soon, no Smiling Lady. Cant really call any of this spoilers since its just not there
Dorne not summer isles sorry
Euron is so much better in the books...unfortunate that we are never getting an end to them...coz Martin will do anything but finish them
Her certainty in what she's seen in the fire has been her driving force since her character was introduced, so for Stannis to be so utterly crushed in battle when she was so sure he'd win, her taking the necklace off and going to bed could've been a sort of passive attempt at suicide if it's what keeps her young—and seemingly immortal with her having drank poison before.
To be fair she didnt see stanis win she saw Jon Snow fighting and winning in winterfell, thats the problem with prophecy you can get similar events and choose the wrong one to go all in on.
People say this is where the show falls off but I like it until literally final season, purely cosits rushed and you can tell showrunners wantedgone
well in all fairness Ygritte killed ollys parents so him killing her was 120% deserved
and also totaly understandable he saw john as a traitor because he made peace with the same guys that killed his parents his family everyone he knew his whole village, not "the wildlings" as an group but the same people Tormund the red bearded one lead the attack on the village where everyone of the farmers was murdered he killed everyone olly know ...
how can you be mad against olly he truly just wanted the people who killed his innocent parents dead
That scene of Brienne and Pod coming in clutch to save Sansa and Theon is one of my absolute favourites. I remember shouting for her and Theon to run, being devastated when they caught them. Then switching to LETS FCKING GO BRIENNE!!! 😂 Still tear up when Brienne pledges her sword to Sansa. Finally someone will actually look out for her and protect her. It always pisses me off the hate some of the fandom give Sansa. Angry at her for acting like a little girl, when for most of the show she is LITERALLY a little girl. They want her to be like Arya, I love Arya but Sansa is a girly girl. She’s gentle. She’s a different person. She’s a victim and a pawn for most of the series. She deserves empathy.
let's face it, the fandom was an absolute festering pile of slobbing shit through and through
be it the fuckolly folks, the "let's bully a fucking CHILD actor of all people for portraying a psycho tyrant kid"-crowd, the people not capable of empathizing with severely abused and tortured characters - like Sansa... shit, if it weren't for the atrocious fans being absolute knobgobblers to their very core, I probably would have enjoyed the last season for however mid it might have been.
Fuck fans in general and their beady, soulless eyes.
If you don't know already, by this point the writers have more or less completely run out of books to adapt. Jon Snow is still dead in the books and we don't know what exactly is going to happen to him, and several plotlines have already diverged from where they are currently. Just so y'all know in case there are any confusing or weird things that happen, the story is 100% original as of this season.
yoo the mountain is literally jason voorhees XD
NOT A MEASTER
Ive already seen the show multiple times but a part of me wishes that Jon Snow didnt come back just to see their hopes get crushed and listen to the copium haha. Love the series reaction so far i just really wish you guys watched the histories and lore. You seem interested in the lore but never dove deeper into it and its disappointing.
You guys continue to underestimate the dragons' intelligence. They have near human-level intellect, they aren't pets or mindless beasts to be controlled. They help because they want to, Danny is their mother. But it isn't about "controlling" them.
Got I get so mad about the Dorne story in the show. All I can say is it is COMPLETELY 100% different than the book. Rewatching it's not as bad, but it still stings how much they changed it.
I'll keep on saying it; There are moments that are still good. There are set pieces and ideas that are still very interesting and fun. But, these moments really carry episodes more than they did in season 1-4.
Best way to put it is, people who loved the books enjoy season 1-4 and are left annoyed with how season 5 goes (Which coincides with the latest book released) as it starts doing it's own thing when there were better stories and plot points in the written book. The people who started with the show might not see any issue until season 8 when they get let down by the climax and then it retroactively makes you think about the show under a new light. There are a lot of dumb things that went on during season 5, and as someone who has had half a decade to digest season 6, there's a few times already that I got pissed off at due to conveniences, logical leaps or teleportation. There are also moments in those two episodes that are made worse by knowing where things do end up going. No episode moving forward is logically sound in character motivations and a lot of them start just straight up acting out of character. Anyway, for as long as you guys enjoy it, keep enjoying it. It is still a good show overall, and in the end, there is still the sure value of the early seasons to comfort you.
And Captain Bumfinger appears.
Lmao idk why but this made me laugh out loud 😂
This season is so crazy. Some of my favorite scenes in the whole show are from this season.
THANK YOU, haters can kick rocks
There's a great story that Kit Harrington told in an interview after his comeback that obviously in the months between 5 and 6 he had to lay low to keep from getting mobbed--cuz he knew he was coming back. But the story he told was that he got pulled over for speeding real bad during those off months. So he gets pulled over, cop comes up to him, recognizes him, takes his license to go write a ticket. Kit is freaking out cuz I guess he was going waaay over. So the cop comes back, stares at him, and dead-ass asks "I might be able to let you off on this one, if you just tell me one thing." and Kit's like "sure, sure what's up?" and the cop asks, "Are you really dead?"
Kit deadass just says "Nope". Cop smiles, nods, says "Lord Commander, you're free to go," and leaves.
Shit makes me smile every time I think about it.
1:37:42 Ruff is wielding the legendary valyrian rainbow blade.
Meet Euron one of my favorite book characters and maybe my least favorite show character. No fault to the actor though I think he does a great job at portraying what he is given.
Robs sword was Ned's sword, he inherented the sword after Ned's death, cause it was the family grratsword sword if the starks, it was massive and that's why after robs died and tywin got the sword he melted it down and made 2 swords from it. One became Geoffreys sword and the other was Jamie's, but Jamie's gave his sword to Brianne.
The sword Sean has is just Robs regular broadsword it has no name, Rob never actually possessed Ice the ancestral Valerian steel great sword of house stark because Ned had it with him when he when to kings landing it’s what Illyn Payne used to execute Ned the sword was than eventually given to Tywin long before Rob dyed
“In this economy??”
Alright I’m back. Couldn’t stay away long. I needed the dopamine hit
We made it to S6!!!! What epic episodes! Tyrion and the Dragons was peak!!
Jon Snow has been dead for over 5,000 days
I remember when the 1st ep aired and everyone was just like "... welp I guess hes actually dead" . Then the 2nd ep came and some people lost their minds. Season 6 might be my favorite season to watch, has some of my most memorable moments, but I will say the issues with the ending that grow kinda real their heads in this season, but its only something I noticed on a rewatch so I think you'll enjoy it fine.
Anyone remember Kit Harrington hair watch? We were all looking in between season 5 and 6 if he would cut his hair it meant he was done with the show.
aaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA this is the point I had to binge on my own watch, it's already killing me to wait fore more! excited for y'all's reactions
I feel the same, The whole of this season but especially "The Broken Man, The Door, BOB, and Winds of Winter .......just mind blowing. Especially Wins of Winter. I still think that's my favourite episode of any show I've ever watched!
Re: your Valyrian steel count: Let’s not forget not all Valyrian steel is a sword. In S1, the dagger that was used to try to kill Bran was Valyrian steel.
Also, Young Hodor was on Seantanktop’s channel! He also had GRRM on as well, and a few of his friends provided some screams that were manipulated and used as the dragon sounds. Don’t watch until series is finished obviously. I’d love to go see an ep of HotD live in the bar in Chicago!
Bran said,
“—PATION”
I know the The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.It was a great Sitcom!
I tear up at 18:18 every time
This season IMO is the best by far. It never has a bad episode. It's going to blow your minds!
I love how jon snow's actor (kit) told a cop that jon was alive so he wouldn't get speeding ticket lol
Bro suite life on deck was amazing ruff what you mean lol, both of them were great
I love referencing spoilers but in ways those who don't know won't get. Such as: Hodor hodor, hodor! Hodor, hodor horor hodor?
I'm always surprised by just how quickly the decline happens in season 6. Just dumb things like the Nights Watch not revolting after Jon's murder despite half of them being his supporters Alistair just does a speech and everyone works for him now, Sansa not knowing how to accept someone into her service despite being raised as a high Lords daughter and needing help from Podrick of all people.
You’re free to leave ✌🏼
Oh and there goes the Dornish plot I sure hope there's no repercussions for a random bastard murdering the Prince of Dorne and his heir
I, and the entire internet were pretty much convinced John was coming back to life, and prepared to riot if not.
Im not sure if Im crazy. Inbetween you posting this and the last episodes of GoT I binged your series on The Vampire Diares. Only now do I realise how much better the cameras seem- quality wise.
why was her entire fleet unguarded?
also sean/boom is a man of the people for that "would" i'm pretty sure i watched this with my parents when this initially came out and the reactions were palpable. but uncomparable to the king of rizz
my only complaint is these dothraki should have killed khaleesi immediately.
The Dothraki have a lot of lines they won’t cross, like the Mongols they’re based on. Sleeping with a Khal’s widow, not shedding blood in their sacred city, the use of blood magic and animal cruelty, especially towards horses. They value their women(not the slave women but women born into the culture), have extreme loyalty towards their families and have an extreme love for nature hence the hate for animal cruelty(they’ll kill animals to eat but will do it quick and painlessly). If you look back at season 1 when they’re terrorizing a village, you’ll notice that they’re raping and murdering people and tearing down religious idols but are leaving the chickens, livestock and dogs alone. The love of nature comes from their nomadic lifestyle. They’ve come across many different ecosystems and live in harmony with the land. George R.R. Martin clearly had a lot of respect for the mongols since he incorporated so many good things with the bad. Shame he didn’t feel the same for the Vikings since their GoT equivalent(Ironborn) are just portrayed as pure evil with their only redeeming quality being that they don’t care if you’re gay.
This will be one of the most satisfying seasons. So many plots are gonna start coming together.
fuck yeah kings. love yall
Just fyi, she has taken that chain off before, they just made the scene of her being old for the shock value, even though it adds nothing and doesn't really make sense, something you'll see a lot of in these later seasons, still some great moments to come though
I interpreted that scene as Melisandre giving up on her faith and fully intending to allow old age to take her in the night.
No. In a previous season, she was in the bath without the necklace and Stannis’ wife was there. Melisandre asked her to hand her a vial of perfume from the shelf. She puts the perfume on. The perfume keeps her young when the necklace is off. I still get amazed that I’m seemingly the only person on the planet who has put this together because I’m a fucking idiot and I figured it out.
I always just kinda thought she did it to see if she would die in her sleep, and if she didn’t then maybe the lord of light still had plans for her? Kind of like a last resort or something. But that’s just how I thought of it.
I mean in the books "glamors" are a illusion magic we know Mel can use and it's heavily theorized that she is much older than she is appears because of this.
HES ALIVEEE!! XD
Is there my Chance we would get more GoT EPs, with some of the group reactions possibly being pushed back/delayed ?
just to chime in at 52 mins discussion, I always wondered, if Joffrey was still alive, how quickly the High Sparrow would have been dealt with. It would have been a massacre of innocent parties too, but it would have been stopped.
It never would’ve begun. Cersei was scared of Joffrey and never would’ve gone behind his back to restore the Faith Militant in the first place. She did it with Tommen because he won’t do anything.
tyrion rolled a nat 20 to seduce the dragons
Yessss haha yeah boys it’s go time! Definitely one of my favorite seasons ever man. Excited for you guys
not gonna lie. the Red women's Young actress, just to be clear haha. has the most perfect set of knockers iv ever seen. they look so good lol
You're going to be one happy man when you discover that better do exist. namaste
im not talking about how big they are, im talking about how they look. perfectly shaped, Zero sagging etc lol
yeah ok Stannis
Yeah that Jon death didn't work on me either despite having to wait a year lol. They did try to fool people. Fans knew that if Kit Harrington (the actor who plays Jon) still had the Northern haircut while Thrones was being filmed that he wasn't actually dead. So they literally cut his hair while the show was filming so it looked like he had moved on from Thrones. And that's why they added the scene of Melisandre cutting Jon's hair for the ceremony lol
I'll also say that this season isn't terrible, but the last two seasons is where things start getting.... Yeah.... Lol
Based on your surprise Aria is still in bravos and the fact it's season 6, I feel safer mentioning this
The opening is different almost every episode since episode 1 cause the opening visits every place you'll see that episode. If you see the wall in the opening, you'll see the nights watch in that episode. If Bravos is in the opening, you'll see Bravos. You'll notice Dorne is in the opening because we flash to there for Oberon family
LMAO, Shaun saying "you know what, still WOULD"
Fun fact!
The actor who plays Jon Snow got out of a speeding ticket by telling the officer if Jon Snow was going to be alive or dead in season 6.
Haven't even finished the video (A bit in episode 2's reaction rn) And im just reminded of how much I dislike this season, its so rough.
On first view it really doesnt seem that bad! But if you sit on it and think about every part of it, Characters do stupid things and arent punished for making bad choices or mistakes, its something you dont think about on first viewing but once you start thinking about it, its so frustrating
The Stark sword, called Ice, was melted down into two swords, one went to Jamie, one went to Joffrey. Jamie gave his to Brienne, Joffrey's was buried with him. Jamie does not have a Valyrian steel sword at this time. The Lannisters did not have their own before taking the Stark's
They had the dagger from season 1 that was given to the assassin.
Yes exactly. a dagger. not a sword. and?
Spoilers for season 7.
That’s not their dagger. Littlefinger hired the assassin and gave his own dagger to the assassin and claimed it was Tyrion’s in order to force the Lannisters and Starks into a war with each other. That was step two of his plan after manipulating Lysa into killing her husband and sending a letter to Catelyn implicating the Lannisters. The entire war was his doing.
Yes, but they don't have a family sword. However, I think as far as show canon goes, the dagger was Littlefinger's and the assassin was sent by him too.
I don't think that was there's in either book or show. In the book, it was in the royal treasury until Joffery 'borrowed' it due to Tyrion telling him he should give the Starks his condolences (he really was a little shit). In the show, the story of the dagger is different and is revealed at the end of S7 so not giving spoilers but it was never a Lannister blade.
They reveal in season 1 that the dagger was Littlefinger's, but he says he lost it to Tyrion in a bet, then Tyrion disputes that in the same season
So glad you guys are doing 2 episodes at a time
Ready to see y'all frustrated with the first episode not answering any questions about Jon lol
