Battle of Gods would be awesome! Though I’m still hoping for a DragonShortz reaction and especially HFIL, both spinoffs made by TeamFourStar and canon to DBZA.
Just saying, Masako Nozawa delivers one of the best career-long voice acting performances of all time, following Goku from his infancy to being a grandfather, aging the voice as both she and Goku get older.
Goku is childlike at heart, and I think Nozawa’s voice suits Goku perfectly because it’s simultaneously childlike but also as old as Goku is.
i liked the tfs buu bits but the only thing i kinda saw with it, and i get why the buu saga is basically already a parody as it is and that was a main reason they never wanted to do it, ontop of the immense editing work, but some of the scenes are like not even 30 seconds past where they explain the context of the scene their showing lol, its still really good but if you dont remember the saga fully it could get a little confusing, BUT it is still an absolutely fire arc, and the buu bits were something i never thought id ever see so i have no complaints, BATTLE OF GODS YES! thats when the DB movies actually start becomming cannon and the movies do them FUCKING JUSTICE
i honestly would love to see if you guys just watched the new cannon movies, like battle of gods revival of F Super broly, and super heroes, all of those movies are done extremely well and it started a chain after battle of gods where all the movies after it have been better than the last
Dragon Ball Super, Super Hero was an amazing movie if you guys watch Battle of Gods, Broly, and that one. It really catered to the fans and DBZA fans alike.
You guys should strongly consider watching the Dragon Shorts (which I said, after the last episode of DBZA and feature original animation) and HFIL. As the DBZA crew discussed in their latest commentary track that’s how they chose to continue the series. More than anything they were burned out and they just couldn’t keep going with DBZA directly. Regardless, both DS and HFIL are absolutely delightful and hilarious as all get out. I know you’ll love them both.
Also while I would love to see Battle of Gods, you all technically haven’t finished all of DBZAbridged. They made a spin-off series called HFIL and it takes place after the Cell arc and before the Buu arc. You all should really check it out, you would love it.
The two clips before the alternate scenes are from the End of Z arc which is 10 years after Buu and is part of DBZ. The first one was them referencing everything from DBS because DBS is supposed to be happening during that 10 years.
Also to clarify the Kid Buu and earth blowing up bit, Super Buu also absorbed Vegito, he let himself get absorbed but then got split apart. (Super explains the fusion only lasts an hour if you’re not Kai’s.) They found everyone he absorbed and took them out, Fat Buu was cut from him but he got left behind inside of Kid Buu and basically got ejected from Kid Buu later, but still removing his connection reverted Super Buu back to his true primal form Kid Buu. They went to the world of the Kai’s, and Dende and the kai’s went to Namek, used the Namekian dragon balls to revive the earth and its people. (They upgraded them to revive multiple people.) Thus Vegeta came up with the idea for the spirit bomb. I know Boom is watching Kai as he said, but just explainin for the sake of it.
Master Roshi’s sister Fortuneteller Baba has the ability to grant people a 1 day pass back to the living world. Goku was allowed it to partake in the tournament with his loved ones. In the original Z anime run there was filler that he won the day pass in a tournament in otherworld. It was a neat little bit, even gave us Goku mixing Super Saiyan with Kaioken. Since his body was dead he could combine em without it killing his living body.
Love Battle of the Gods! Super in general is awesome, and Battle of the Gods was a great intro to it! The animation upgrade is insane! ^_^
