Yeah I agree with Seeohknee that this was a reeeeeeally weird af spot to stop season 1, like as someone who has read thru the majority of the manga twice over(I restarted it while I was caught up just as the show was starting to come out) and the second time thru I was trying to think about *where* I thought they'd go to by the end of the season and I thought it would either be a short one and basically end in 11 before the Anatomical Doll stuff or it'd be a long one and it'd go to the end of this arc with Jiji.
I think the problem is that the studio misjudged the pacing a little bit and that the OG plan was to go to the end of this arc, but with how its moved and where they are now I'd say its probably about 6 episodes to go thru the rest and the studio didnt want to do a second half of a season that was just 6 episodes so they chose to leave it here where they give u a lot of teasers to what will come at the beginning of the next season but it does leave the end of the season at a really weird spot.
Also u guys asked about how much of the manga has been adapted to this point in terms of chapters/volumes and it ends with a mix of stuff from chapters 33(with Okarun and Jiji) and 34(with Momo) which is between 3-4 volumes depending on the number of chapter in each volume. As far as where it is in the series overall the latest chapter that came out this week was chapter 177 so there is a loooooooot of material left to adapt. I'm hoping the next season is longer(closer to 20-24 episodes) cause thats what I think it'll take to finish this arc and do the next one in full properly otherwise they might end up leaving off in a weird spot again. Either way we'll find out in a couple months, at least its not like a full year plus wait like its been with some shows

I still can't get over the fact that Kirk Thornton voices the creepy guy in the hot spring; all I hear is Kisame and it throws me off so much.

The final episode definetly feels like a first half of one season than an actual finally of a season. After watching the anime i started reading the manga and alot of stuff will happen in this town, that is all I can say :)

I don't like though that they chose these final scenes to be the cliff hanger. That ending with Momo feels too disturbing to leave on an over 5 month long break. Would have been better if they ended it one episode earlier or one after this one if I'm being honest (I have read the manga so I know what will happen, which is why I think it would have been better if the break happened one episode after this one).

I cant wait for July now so we can keep going, def feel the pacing is a bit off with them choosing to end season 1 here basically. started wondering a few eps in where they would choose to go to but did not expect right there it comes across reaaaaaal odd
