It does have some horror esthetics,  but I'd say it was more mystery,  it's full of a lot of twists, "well if this means this then", & "wait what the F does that mean" moments. It's like widows bay but not played for as much laughs. Seasons aren't that long, 10..11ish episodes a season i think. I don't know if it would be too much for bree, it doesn't really show killings as their happening just the aftermaths. It's an amazing show,& I'm pretty sure I've heard Sean mention it in positive aspects.
