- Real-Life Capitol Architecture: The striking, futuristic apartment complex where the team encounters the toxic black oil trap is not a CGI creation. It is a real residential complex called Les Espaces d'Abraxas, located in Noisy-le-Grand, a suburb of Paris, France. The CGI team only had to digitally remove trees from the courtyard and add minor augmentations.
- The Brutal Sewer Shoot: The cast widely agreed that the three-week sewer sequence was the most grueling to film. Even though it was shot on a soundstage rather than a real sewer, the production team used heated, highly humid water to mimic an underground atmosphere, making the set incredibly hot and physically exhausting for the actors.
