Question of the Week: What show did everyone love that you just could not get into?

Loki... i just felt so disenchanted with everything Marvel is doing. Still feel disenchanted. Like, these are not series but I'm using them to reinforce my point about marvel, I didn't even enjoy Spiderman: No way home or Deadpool & Wolverine movies like others did. They all feel so bland.

Lost

For the longest time it was Game of Thrones, but I did come around to it. 

Now it's Breaking Bad. I've seen it, and I just can't get invested. Early season one, I kinda get it, but I lost all interest again before that season even finishes. 

The Regular Show... It seems fiiiine... but not enough for me to watch it fully through. I have seen it on tv but I typically don't watch the whole thing.

The Office. I tried twice a long time ago but couldn't get into it either time.

Breaking Bad. 

The vast majority of crime/forensic shows. Miss me with that copy and past copaganda ig

I think I have a few but the one show that stands out right now is Friends  I specifically remember hearing my fellow Highschool students talking excitedly about the series finale with the teacher.  But it would take until my 2nd year at college to finally get into it. Someone lent me their S1 boxset and it hooked me

And yes, the parts that hooked me was the Chandler/Joey dynamic and best girl Phoebe

Other than that, I have a fair number of shows I only discover after the popularity died down.

Alos, side note, Can i change a vote for the next reaction poll? Instead of tthe TMNT Movie Marathon, i want that vote of mine to go to Looney Tunes Back In Action.

Never could get into some of the more popular "fandom" animated shows. Steven Universe, the Owl House, Amphibia... Beyond that, I enjoyed the Avatar series (Airbender!), but it's not really something I'm super interested in watching again. Just didn't compel me that much. 

Hope anime counts, for me it's cowboy beebop, i don't understand the hype because the show is just SO boring, i normally get 2-3 eps in and give up

Peaky Blinders for some reason that I dont know

It's mostly anime for me that I'm a little picky on. I've tried repeatedly to watch Bleach - cannot get into it. Another is One Piece. And I actually did watch a large chunk of the show because it was my ex-girlfriend's favorite and so I wanted to watch it for her, but it just didn't grab me. I also am not thrilled with JJK or Demon Slayer - they just feel like different versions of older anime I've seen. Let's be real, JJK is basically Naruto. Yuji is Naruto, Megumi is Sasuke, Nobara is Sakura, Gojo is Kakashi, and even Sukuna is basically Kurama, the Nine-tailed fox. It's Naruto if it was set in a more modern world.  With Demon Slayer, it's more of a pacing issue that puts me off. While it does also remind me of older shows, it's more subtle than JJK, so it's the pacing for me. The hype moments are hype but everything else is so damn boring to me. I want to like them all - I just don't. 

Two shows I've seen a bit of and simply refuse to get into though is Diabolik Lovers and Mushoku Tensei - both because of content that is romanticized rather than criticized. It makes me uncomfortable that so many people are comfortable with this content. I think it's very telling. DL is one big metaphor for grape and MT has a pedo MC. 

There is a regular live action show that was popular but I couldn't get into - but I have apparently erased it from my mind because I can't for the life of me remember what it was. 

Star Wars

I would say breaking bad. I just didnt understand the hype for it. another show I would say is riverdale. I didnt get the hype for it.

For me it was game of thrones to me it felt like lord of the rings but nothing happens for along time

Greys Anatomy 

The Walking Dead. I couldn’t when it first aired. I can't now. I've tried so many times to.

the sopranos 

Stranger Things for me. Got to Season 3 and kinda just dropped off for a while.

For me i couldn’t get into The office i tried 2 times to watch it i only saw the first 2 seasons and it didn’t pull me in but everyone i know that watches it says it gets good by season 3 idk if i can try it again.
