[Sticky] Question of the Week: What is the best pilot episode ever made?

Tough one. I'm going to say Lost. Maybe it's a bit of an unfair answer because it's a two episode pilot. Starts out with action and chaos right away. It quickly dives into a mystery element, the show starts to give off an ominous tone, things start happening around them don't make sense. It just has everything it needs to intrigue the audience.

I would say the pilots for the shows Grimm and Once Upon a Time. Supernatural's pilot is up there too.

When I look back at the landscape of television, the pilot of Lost stands out as a genuine "where were you" moment in pop culture. From the second Jack’s eyes snap open in that bamboo forest, the episode completely shifts your expectations of what a TV show can achieve, operating with the breathless pacing and massive scale of a summer blockbuster. What really makes it special for me, though, isn't just the burning plane wreckage or the terrifying roar in the jungle—it’s how effortlessly it makes you care about a massive room of strangers in the middle of total chaos. By the time that French distress signal loops and the final line delivers its chilling reality check, you aren't just watching a random group of plane crash survivors anymore; you are completely strapped in for the ride with them.

My Money is on Phineas and Ferb. It was such a fantastic blast and sets up the madness the eventual franchise will bring.
