The premiere of AHS season 13 is in just a few days! I'm curious, what is your favorite season of American Horror Story so far? There's only been one I haven't watched, which was NYC. Recent seasons seem to have been on a bit of downward spiral (at least imo) and this might just be because the earlier seasons are a force to be reckoned with. They came out swinging with the release of those, BUT we have some familiar cast coming back for season 13.

Here's my top 5!

#1 Asylum: This one just has twist after twist after twist. The biggest twist (if you know, you know) is something I don't think anyone could have predicted and the shock of it was unbelievable. Best twist in the whole series. It was also the season that probably had Sarah Paulson's strongest performance. Great performance from Jessica Lange and I've been a fan of Zachary Quinto's as well since Heroes.

#2 Murder House: The start of it all. Again, crazy twists all around. At it's core, it's about a haunted house. A very simple idea, but executed beautifully.

#3 Coven: Witches! My first introduction to Emma Roberts and her character (Madison) is iconic. This season has something that the other two before it really didn't, which is elements of humor. Don't get me wrong, there are CRAZY amounts of dark elements, but during the lighter moments, there is funny banter between the characters.

#4 Hotel: There's some good twists, but Lady Gaga joining the cast of this one really seals it. Some singers can't act, but Lady Gaga isn't one of them. She slays her role.

#5 1984: I'm a fan of 80's culture and music, so of course this one was going to be in my Top 5.

What is your favorite season???

American Horror Story: Asylum (Season 2). I consider this is absolute pinnacle of the franchise because it delivers a masterclass in relentless, atmospheric psychological terror that the show has never quite replicated. Set in the gritty, claustrophobic 1960s at Briarcliff Manor, it brilliantly weaves together highly ambitious storylines—ranging from corrupt religious figures and demonic possession to mad scientists and serial killers—without ever losing its tight narrative focus. What makes it truly exceptional is that beneath its shocking horror elements, it is anchored by a deeply emotional, character-driven plot spotlighting powerhouse performances by Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson. The season stands out because it treats its characters' trauma and survival with genuine stakes, giving viewers unforgettable moments like "The Name Game" musical number alongside a surprisingly moving, tightly orchestrated conclusion that leaves a lasting impact.

@patreon_2378219 Fun Fact: Zachary Quinto was learning how to play the banjo around the time of filming. He would often play it between takes to lighten the mood on the creepy set. Lily Rabe (Sister Mary Eunace) would also practice playing the guitar.
