Adding a dislike button

a dislike button used for actual genuine feedback?  has such a thing ever been attempted?? 😆   fr tho i can see merit in something like this.  though a binary like / dislike form of critique is pretty vague

i imagine site traffic itself is a pretty strong and fast indicator in and of itself.  probs my guess as to how they largely judge somethings popularity on here

Ya the site traffic would be a good indicator, but sometimes you watch something because you think you'll like it but end up not, or vice versa thus making a like & dislike button relevant,  ooh maybe even a double thumbs(love) button like Netflix does.
