Castlevania Reaction Season 2 Episode 5 & 6 (Boom Solo)

as an artist, Castlevania's animation direction tends to be a bit lukewarm to me. Because they went for such a detailed and highly rendered style, they often had to stick to stiffer movements during less important or eye-catching scenes. During fight scenes, however, the animation becomes breathtakingly liquid-smooth. This is what most animated shows do, but usually with less detailed cartoons, the transition feels less stout, as they can afford a little more detail to movements in less important scenes that was spared from shading and detailed linework. The art of Castlevania is undebatably gorgeous, I just wish Netflix had shelled out a bit more cash to make the animation feel more consistent overall. Still a marvel of modern animated adult tv.
