Even if the context is really messed up, I love the way PB and Marcy sound together when they sing. The voice actresses/singers (I can’t remember if it’s the same person who sings for Marcy as who voices her) sound amazing together and have unique voices that blend really well together.
It's funny its less like lsp got a redemption arc and more of saved the day by being herself, which is pretty funny and cool in its own way

Lastly (meant to mention it in my comment on the first video for season 9 but forgot) as much as I love Bmo I do hope he starts treating Nepture better because this season isn't the only time the writers have shown that Bmo dosn't really respect him which is kind of sad like Nepture hasn't done anything bad to Bmo to justify this mindset.

The creators I don't believe knew the show would be ending until the last season was in early production and Cartoon Network declined to greenlight the next one. They were able to develop a very satisfying ending, but they did have plans for what the potential next season would be before they learned it wouldn't be happening. The finale wasn't the original plan but they were given enough foresight to steer things toward a proper ending regardless. Some of the events in the later Distant Lands specials were based around miniseries ideas that had been pitched before the cancellation was confirmed. As for the story-heavy nature of the show at this point, I think it's less to do with any awareness of the show's impending end, and more due to the way plot threads have accumulated, plus the inherent focused nature of their miniseries and the overall shorter season lengths. Really, story-heavy episodes gradually outnumbering standalones is a modern cartoon staple, as it also happens with Steven Universe, Amphibia, Gravity Falls, etc etc. It makes sense since Adventure Time sorta innovated the modern trend of overcoming networks' demands for accessible, standalone episodes by building up plots very subtly and gradually.

Which is crazy to think about considering that Adventure Time has to have one of the best finale for an animated show. Hell I'll say it's up there as one of the best finale of in all of media for a long running show.

also I believe the cancellation was sort of a surprise? like they knew it was coming but didn't know exactly when. CN blamed it on low viewership, but honestly I feel like that was all CNs fault, because I remember it was almost impossible to catch AT live. They aired eps inbetween marathon hours of Teen Titans GO! so unless you were extra vigilante, you missed it. I know I missed a couple eps here and there and had to search online to watch them because of how they buried it in the middle of a marathon day. And it was at peak popularity too. Adventure time merch was pretty much sold everywhere at this point like Target, Walmart, Hot Topic, Spencers, BAM, B&N, Gamestop, etc etc, the comics were in full force. It was everywhere, Cartoon Network was just tweaking those last like 3 seasons, and blamed it on a decline in popularity, psh.
But yeah, part of season 10 eps were intended for season 9, so from this point on its gunna go by really fast.
