You know, if Finn hadn't interrupted they might have let Jake go... but then Finn did get involved and made the wand touch Jake which unalived him.
You guys met Glob in this episode, which is the God that everyone in Ooo makes reference to when they say things like "oh my Glob" and stuff, not only that but it is revealed that he's Magic Man's older brother.
Also a fun fact: Abraham Lincoln being the King of Mars is a callback to the Pilot episode of the show released in 2007, he was one of the very first characters on this universe to be introduced... alongside Finn, Jake and Ice King.
Fun fact, Adventure Times dubbed to Spanish (Latin America) has some differences and when Jake is arguing with PB, instead of saying "Estás enferma" which is the literal translation for You're sick, he says "Dañada" which means Damaged as if she was rotten or something

Yeah, bubblegum is jealous but definitely not in the romantical sense bubblegum is a very controlling character it was pretty much established early on that she has a major God complex. Also would be weird if it was in the romantical sense cause Finn is like a kid and bubblegum is super old like older than she looks. And that would technically be pedophilia. Lol

the reason the animation looked so good in that scene was because it was storyboarded by Rebecca Sugar, the way they draw faces is iconic.
Pretty sure they knew Finns VA would keep growing and his voice would change so they took the original scream and reused it throughout the whole show which is cool
Zoomer here, life est. 1999. Yeah, that toxic masculinity stuff still happens. It's not as prevalent, it didn't happen in my high school friend group, but one of the friends I met as an adult had so much of that happen in high school that he hired a sex worker the moment he looked old enough to do so without raising suspicion.

2- The guy Ruff said looked familiar was Death. You saw him in an earlier episode where Peppermint Butler sent Finn and Jake to get something from him.
yea was kinda funny seeing their reaction to 36 dead worlds when they already questioned about the 50 before.
