I guess it's easy to forget peppermint butler got turned into a kid
I can not WAIT for you guys to watch Fionna and Cake, it's SO good.
Good to know that Peppermint still has Peppermint Butler's garbage personality. AT least with this, PepBut is finally dead and gone for good.
You guys do have a good point about these episodes feeling like they could have had like 8 episode series spinoffs by themselves, that's adventure time for ya!
Wizard City definitely feels like a movie pilot to a show. Honestly after Fionna and Cake it could be a spin off

I do love seeing Pep's power, and how at his peak he was strong enough to beat all of Wizard City.
Also Coconteppi is older than the universe if you go back to the episode Gold Stars you can see him in the sea of monsters that was around before the universe. He didn't create magic he was the first Wizard.
Yeah this episode is the weakest of the 4 imo. But episode 3 was meant to be the wrap up for adventure time, so it makes more sense for it to be last.
Also definitely do keep evil choose goose in mind for the future.

So this isn't a spoiler. Originally Distant Lands only was greenlit for BMO, Obsidian and the third episode that you are seeing next. Sometime around the time they finished/were in process of making those 3, they got greenlit for one more episode (which was Wizard City). This might be why it feels like a weird proof of concept/speedrun through a story as it might've had a shorter developement time (while release dates don't exactly prove anything, Wizard City was released only 4 months after the third episode). After the fact, Wizard City was switched to be episode 3 instead of 4.

Yeah, it's better that you saved episode for the last as it was meant to be the finale. You'll see why. Episode 2 and 3 and my favorites of Distant Lands, not to say the others are bad their still good, but yeah next week is finale

this one is the weaker of the four, IMHO. but ep 3 is, by far, my favorite. and it will not disappoint. get ready for some tears.

I love Pep-butts, but no, I get it, this eps didn't vibe with me so much as well. it felt like Ant-Man and the Wasp felt to me, fun, but pointless except that it needed to be done because it contains an important plot-point for the future. for AMaTW, it was introducing the whole quantum realm thing, for Wizard City, something important for Fiona and Cake that would have left you confused if you didn't watch this particular eps first. Which honestly was me because I skipped the final eps (this) of Distant Lands for whatever reason and was confused as to why something was in F&C lol. so you have that knowledge now. This 'last' eps of Distant Lands though. The best eps for me out of this set. 3>2>1>4 in order of my favorites.

When did this issue start happening? The player has been changed for about a month yet, but this is the first we've heard of issues. An update was pushed last week to fix Opera so we're trying to figure out if this is related. The best place to get assistance is through our discord or via our contact us section at the bottom of the page. But the more info y'all can give us the better. What browser, phone, etc...
Atm we've tested Chrome, Safari, Opera, Opera GX, Firefox and Brave browsers on iPhone and android and the issues y'all are describing are not happening for us on any of our devices. As much info as you can give us the better to try and figure out why you are experiencing something that we can not seemingly replicate
We even tried it on multiple videos to make sure it wasn't video specific issue as well

Where is episode 3?
They explained it in the intro. They were put on streaming out of order apparently so 4 is really #3. Ep 3 is apparently a better ending to the series so they are watching it last (next week)
People wanted them watch this one before 3 since 3 felt more like a finale
its not just that it FEELS more like a final, it's that it was SUPPOSED to the the final. they originally were greenlit for 3 eps, and Together Again was supposed to be the final episode of Distant Lands, but while in production, they got greenlit for a fourth ep. they didn't have time to released this ep before Together Again, so they had to release them out of order.
Pretty sure they wanna save that for last it's to much of a banger not to
