I think the one thing that bugged me the most about this movie is the writers clearly didn’t understand Darkseid’s character and just wanted a big bad to fuck shit up so bad that another flashpoint was necessary. They weren’t really interested in doing the character justice

The Crisis on Infinite Earth's Trilogy has direct ties to this movie so it is worth watching the Tomorrowverse just for that. The Constantine House of Mystery short bridges the two universes and then you can watch the main movies in the Tomorrowverse. As for stand alone DC animated movies I would recommend:
"Batman Year One" which is an adaption of the comic of the same name by Frank Miller. Who is the same dude who did The Dark Knight Returns comic. So if you like the animated movies of that comic then you'll like this. It's one of the best versions of Batman's origin story and was big inspiration for the live action movie Batman Begins.
"Superman/Batman Public Enemies" and "Superman/Batman Apocalypse". If the idea of Superman and Batman being BFF's and kicking everyone's ass sounds fun to you then these are the movies to watch.
"Justice League The New Frontier" A movie that's a love letter to the Gold and Silver ages of DC comics. A very old school superhero movie.
"Superman Doomday" A reimaging of the Death of Superman storyline. The two DCAMU films were more faithful to the comics. This condenses the story to it's most basic elements to fit into a 70 minute movie. But I do think this is a pretty entertain watch.
"Superman vs the Elite" The best animated Superman film
"Justice League Crisis on Two Earths" You have already seen the sequel "Justice League Doom". So if you like that then you will like this.
Finally if you are ever considering watching the DCAU then the movie "Batman Mask of the Phantasm" is a good way to get of taste of the DCAU without having to commit to over 200 episodes of TV.

I think you guys should give the live action DCEU (DC Extended Universe, like the MCU) a chance. Yeah they aren’t perfect films but I truthfully believe they were criticized too harshly by critics and audience. If you do though, make sure they’re the extended cut for Batman v Superman and the 4-hour long Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max - not the theatrical one!

Some people will say the deaths or events don't matter much because they just reset in the end, but by resetting, these versions we've known for so many movies, are gone now. Sure you'll get a new batman, but he will look different, sound different, act different and have gone through different events. Now as for stand alone dc movies I'd recommend, justice league crisis on two earth's, superman red son, batman/superman public enemies and apocalypse, batman gotham by gaslight, batman the doom that came to gotham, superman vs the elite and batman year one

@Brandon your looking at it from a watsonian view which is fine, but I'm talking about a doylist view of the DCMU. I have no feelings regarding the deaths in this movie and have less feelings for anything that happens in the DCMU because they (the directors/authors/DC comics) hit the reset button. Also what universe are you rereferring to that doesn't have Damian or the Teen Titians? I am assuming your talking about the Tomorrowverse but either way I don't see how it matters. There are 'universes' that don't have Damian (the 2000's era of DC animation) that doesn't reset their timelines. Hell all off the Teen Titans show aired before Damian was even a thing in comics.

Without going into to much. The Tomorrowverse does have ties into the end of the DCAMU, most is standalone, but this all does factor in to the grand story of the next world. So take a break for now, as you said before, but I really really do hope you'll step into the world... of Tomorrow.
ALSO, don't forget, DC Showcase, John Constantine and the House Of Mystery. That's actually still the DCAMU too. It's around 27 or so minutes so it's shorter, but trust me it's worth the watch. So you do have 1 last piece to watch before the DCAMU is done for good.
Movie wise I recommend Justice League New Frontier for a solid origin movie or JL Doom if you just want a good Jl story. Show wise the DCAU.
I feel like if they wanna go DCAU id have them wait till after young justice is done
they already did Doom
Don’t forget that their are other Dc movies to watch, especially the animated ones.
Next it would be Superman: Man of Tomorrow
Technically it would be DC Showcase: John Constantine & The House Of Mystery and then Superman
Damn i was going strong not crying till damian died shit hit me like a semi
You guys should watch the tomorrow verse franchise
nah hti the standalones, the tomorrowverse was ass
Probably won't watch this one since this movie makes me incredibly uncomfortable l, but I hope yall had a fun time, also if yall want the og justice league cartoon holds up super well
I've been waiting for this!
This seems like the end but it’s not. The next movie is Constantine House of Mystery
Yeah i hope they dont skip it
Man of tomorrow, World War 2, and the Long Halloween movies are good in my opinion. The rest are pretty meh to me
yeah that warworld one was dogshit
