Man the Percy Jackson family tree is nuts. Zeus is Hades and Poseidon’s brother. Athena and Ares are Zeus’ kids. They have different moms because Zeus is Zeus. Percy is Poseidon’s kid. So Percy, Ares and Athena are all cousins. Because Annabeth is Athena’s kid, Percy and Annabeth would be first cousins once removed. Clarisse, the bully from earlier would also be their first cousin once removed because she’s Ares’ daughter. Percy would be somehow related to every single child of Ares, Athena, Poseidon, Hades and Zeus. Hermes is also a son of Zeus so they’re cousins too, which makes Percy related to Luke as well. Pan is Hermes’ son so there’s a relation there too. And there’s probably a bunch that I’m too lazy to look for.

Definitely agree with the actors! Like I commented in the first episode, at first a lot of people didn't like the casting, doubting Riordan's choices as most actors are not book description accurate with their characters (particularly a lot of drama with Annabeth's actress as book Annabeth is described as a white girl with blonde hair that gives California surfer girl look). But Riordan explained his choices were not based on book descriptions, he selected the actors who embodied his characters perfectly! I was satisfied and waited for the show's release to see if it was true. I was not disappointed, the whole series was amazing, but this episode really displayed their acting abilities and how right Riordan was with his choices. Such incredible work!
Although I wished for one snippet of the book's scene for this episode. Ares had glowing red dots or spots of fire instead of regular eyes but I'm cool with this representation.
