Some fans are just plain cracked. I saw a comment under a story about the final trailer drop that honestly said "No original theme song, no watch." I mean, I like "We are" as much as the next One Piece fan, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear a version of it as BGM at some point, but that's got to be one of the stupidest deal-breakers I've ever heard of for an adaptation.

The stuff with Buggy yelling about how Shanks betrayed him makes so much sense with some of the new context of their split up after Rogers death. I like Serious Garp but I would have loved it if he acted the exact same way but he was also snacking on some crackers while playing his role completely straight.

Nah man, we all know that ain't Luffy. Ain't no way Luffy would share his food.

The reveal of Buggy’s powers in this version is masterfully done and makes me wish I could have gone into this with no prior knowledge just so I could have had a more genuine reaction to the borderline horror movie scene of a clown’s head getting punched off and flying through the air

This show feels like it's own story but you can still feel the characters and world just as strongly.

You know, with Garp giving that speech I think I understand a certain aspect of Luffy now with the whole dream thing
