I was always incredibly fascinated with how powerful Wanda is since Infinity War. But this really showcases some of her true capabilities. She's one of my all time favorite characters in the entire MCU. I know the situation with Westview is messy, but I can't imagine losing family, and the love of your life like that. It's hard to say if we were in her situation we might not snap as well. Can't wait to see your other reactions ✨️
This was also my reaction after Episode 5 with all the theories with Quicksilver
recaps should be separate mini episodes made before each episode. It just feels like filler sometimes making certain episodes feel shorter sometimes.
Pietro with the X-Men Quicksilver only because there's creators revealed in early talks it was plan to possibly bring back Aaron Taylor Johnson but they felt Wanda would be getting everything handed to her at that point
Wanda getting everything handed doesn't make sense as an excuse to recast. Even story wise, it would need more episodes for her to deal with the guilt of pietro, but this recasting feels more like a scheduling conflict or the previous actor declining to come back

Grrr lol you guys are as bad as Disney was releasing 2 episodes a week for a half hour show ;) I can't Binge the reactions just like I couldn't binge the show when it came out in two episodes a week. Lol
Yeah I for one kind liked all the stuff they have put up out since endgame yea some of it was a miss yes and could have used more time on certain things but I the grand scale of.things when they ramped up production of outting out the movies and show as quickly as they did its kinda of understandable. Still curious to see how they combine everything together for the next avengers movies.
You'll def have to see the x men movies. At least the old trilogy but I really love first class and days of future past from the second trilogy too. First Class is actually my favorite x men movie ever. You don't necessarily have to see them rn bcs they don't play into the mcu in a big way yet but they will in the future
They'll never play into the MCU in a big way the same way the Blade movies or Daredevil or the Fantastic Four movies never played into the MCU despite having characters from those movies be in Deadpool and Wolverine. The original X-Men cast coming back in Doomsday isn't going to be a call that means anything to watch the old movies
So it's a bit difficult to explain the quicksilver/Pietro thing to people who aren't familiar with these characters, but lets see if I can do it lol:
If you're familiar with Magento from X-Men, know that in the comics Wanda and Pietro are his kids (there's also Polaris but she's not relevant here lol). Anyways, Wanda and Pietro are usually avengers members in the comics. However, for the movies at the time of the second avengers film, 20th century fox owned the rights to use x-men characters and they using quicksilver (played by the actor you saw here) in one of the x-men films. Therefore, the mcu had to change Wanda and Pietro's backstory and make no reference to Magneto, but around the time when this show was made disney/the mcu bought fox and acquired the rights to X-Men characters. Ergo, the reveal here that Pietro is played by the actor who played him in the X-men films is one big jokey reference to that lol 🤷🏾♂️.
True, and the whole copyright issue where only Fox Marvel was allowed to use the word mutant to describe then, and they ended up just as enhanced meta humans till the Disney bought shares and merged from fox and absorbed the rights for xmen. All of this being pre the Sony Disney contracts to "lend" certain spiderman characters to Disney
so in an interview (or in "the making of") they actually did film the decade shows on the old cameras and with a live studio audience like they did back then. debra jo rupp said she felt happy to film her episode authentically.

I hate when people try and convince me that Wanda WASN'T being an awful person in this series. She absolutely is in the wrong. Grief is not an excuse to enslave an entire town and mind control them
You see, at first Wanda wasnt aware that she had taken over Westview. However once the evidence started to stack up that she was in fact the cause of and in the wrong for doing so her decision to continue the enslavement of all those people is what makes her a bad person. That being said, is she really a bad person or is she just human? Even the best of us fall victim to the comfort of our own depression. She realizes she is doing a bad thing just like we realize we arent doing any good for ourselves wallowing in our self destruction. But just like how we continue to live in the comfort of ruin, Wanda continues to live in the comfort of her denial. Its what makes Wandavision, in my opinion the best of the MCU shows.
For sure but its easy to do good guy bad guy, it's a good allegory for life. Your grief or any other emotion is better dealt with you first than bottling it down, before it ends up overwhelming you and affecting you, your life and everyone around you. Comics always thrive when the characters are allowed to live in the grey and grow rather than left in binaries

so to explain the reason without giving too much away. this arc in marvel, is about the whole multiverse. Remember the talk she had with the boys where she began to think longingly on how " he is far away".

Wanda mind controlling Hayward’s troops is peak Marvel badass! The entire time she isn’t even phased about 20-30 assault rifles locked on target over her chest. The way she just turns and flicks her hand over her head as she struts back to her make believe reality…she reminds me so much of her Father. Extreme level badassery!
Wanda’s story hits me in the heart, so I’ve never been able to enjoy the escape from my own reality when watching her, so she isn’t in my top favorite characters to watch, but she is a total badass and I do love her!
It’s all fund and games superhero stuff until Wanda tilts her head 💥💥💥

Loved this reaction! I’m so happy you guys are in phase 4 now. It gets hate, but personally I have enjoyed post Endgame MCU just as much if not more the the Infinity Saga and I LOVE THE INFINITY SAGA!
But in my heart I will always be an X-Men first and a greater Marvel universe fan second. So I might be biased to the phase that starts off hinting at the X-Men introductions to the MCU.
WandaVision isn’t my top favorite MCU show, but it is definitely in my top 5 and rewatching it and being caught up with the current movies and shows, it hits so much harder. I can’t wait for the reaction continuation of this SAGA!

Can’t disregard Wanda has trapped 1k innocent civilians in this town and forced them to be her toys more or less. And Vision breaking out of the trap and being scared it gets dark. Wanda is suffering but she’s not justified in these actions.

IKR! This is why I love the MCU, it is so rewarding to continue watching. Yes some projects are better than others, but there is always something that comes back later that makes you look at even the worst in a better light. We are still payoffs for set ups from 2008 😆
