Just wanted to let y’all know for some context, this campaign takes place 20 years after Vox Machinas and starts on the continent of Wildemount whereas Vox Machina are primarily in Tal'Dorei.

Also yes that is Johnathan Frakes as Zeenoth, it’s definitely worth checking out the IMDb on this show cuuse they went ham on the casting. Like Dairon, Buea’s mentor is voiced by Ming-Na Wen aka Mulan herself.

I love how you come up with the word “Melf” since Melf was the name of Luke Gygax’s character (the son of the creator of D&D) and is the name sake of the spells Melf’s Acid Arrow and Melf’s Minute Meteors

In case anyone is wondering Beau (the monk who looks like Avatar Korra) ,Nott (the goblin), and Yasha (the big gray barbarian at the end) all have She/Her pronouns.

Mighty Nein is ofc considered by many CR fans to be the best campaign and team of characters. I'm very excited to watch this. Of course, Bell's Hells is the one I REALLY can't wait to see.

I'm so excited for this show, not just because of Critical Role and D&D and the characters and shit, but also because they said it would have a lot more magic as part of it, and as a huge fan of magic, I'm really glad. Vox Machina has magic, obviously, but there's not that much variety for characters that show up (e.g. Scanlan mostly just using Scanlan's Hand, Allura using teleportation magic, Keyleth has more variety). They made it a point to say (and show in the trailer and this first episode) that there will be more of it.

    Grahhh I'm so hyped!!!

26:07 Remember what Percy's tutor said about Residuum glass? it's harvested from Whitestone and refined into a green crystal that amplifies magic. We have our 1st tie-in to Tal Dorei

It looks like the first three episodes will be released on the 19th, and then every week after that its only one episode a week. They are all supposed to be about 45 minutes each! I have been very excited for this one, as it their most popular campaign, and so far they have done a wonderful job adapting it!

The first 3 episodes release on Nov 19, so this episode plus two more. Then one episode weekly

Also just a heads up Nott (the goblin played by Sam/Scanlan) is a female goblin. So she uses she/her pronouns.

I was kind of surprised they didn't slip in a she/her or flat-out point it out in the show, since it still sounds like Sam even with the autotune for the pitch. I can understand why people unfamiliar with campaign 2 would assume it was meant to be a little boy or even just a stylistic choice for a goblin man's voice.

I didn't watch this campaign, I'd only seen the first one, so I'm going in blind on this one and got so excited because I thought they had my favorite rogue subclass in it, I thought the assassin at the start was a Soul Knife, but no, that whole group is just Bladesinger wizards....

We get the first three episodes on premiere, no clue after that, guessing one a week, we'll see. For those who haven't seen the campign, you are in for a wild ride. And those who have seen it, looking forward to what changes we will see.

The attention to spell components, materials, hand motions, everything is PERFECT.

The cat dissolving because they didn’t have enough materials was heartbreaking.

Damn, I really hated Trent in the campaign, but now I have the urge to slap that mofo even harder.

The show is starting off by going back to before the actual campaign began to show us how many of the characters met. When the campaign started,Caleb and Nott were already traveling together. And Beau, was already gorup up with two we haven't seen yet. We're getting to see some of the events leading up to episode one of the campaign. But is also changing some things; Caleb and Nott met in prison, Beau pretty much quit the Cobalt Soul, and the character at the end wasn't looking for the beacon.
