watching the end of this ep when it first aired made me realize this show was going to be heartbreaking as well as funny. they do a good job of incorporating Rick's depression and emotions throughout the show while still having it be a comedy at the end of the day.

also, Rick is canonically Pansexual. i mention this now because ep 3 hints at that as Unity is all genders at once, and he also was on the arm of a man at one point.

  also Jerry is most likely bi or pan as well, but that hasn't been confirmed to my knowledge. it would make sense that he is seeing his "relationship" with Sleepy Gerry, but that could have been an effect of the parasite and not his real sexuality.

"Fun's fun but who needs it?" sums up depression pretty darn succinctly. Haunted me for a long time after seeing this episode.

The glowing rocks were the ones rick picked up at the end of Season 2 episode 2

If you look closley you can see the parasite eggs embeded in the glowing rocks at the end of the episode setting up the events of this one

Such a fun episode- there's an April Fools day cut with "Learning With Pibby"

Y'all should check out all the Pibby content that currently exists if you can- I hope we get an actual series greenlit
