   The subtitles aren't bad, there just translating the Japanese dialogue. That's why they don't match the English dub.

   So to clarify on Asui moving things out of her stomach, it's less that she can throw certain objects up, but rather she can eject her entire stomach for "washing" because she has frog biology.

   Also Aizawa is one of the best teachers in anime, he wants his students to learn but he cares for all of his students and wants them to succeed, he's also extremely strict because he wants them to be prepared for just how dangerous hero work it.

   The fact that that same mathematic system that a student was asking for tutoring from Yaomomo on was the same system that I became mentally incapable of learning because the combination of daily asthma attacks in football and the worst year of allergies in my life combining into literal months of bronchitis that was treated with medicine that turned me into a zombie is causing me to just be unreasonably angry.

   I feel like people end up leaving comments on every video on why the subtitles are different. Short answer is just because they use the direct Japanese translation rather than the actual English dialog. Sometimes its super weird that dvds will do that but streaming services will have proper subs

    Yeah the subtitles are very distracting ngl bc they ARE for the japanese sub version soooo I'm not sure if you guys will turn them off or not but I'm pretty sure they don't change in newer seasons (I could always be wrong!)

    So a note about the subtitles. There are two sets of subtitles - Since the show got so popular in America while It was coming out, there was a mad rush to get english subtitles for the japanese audio. When the English audio version came out, i assume when they were prepping to ship the blu ray, they were working on transcribing the Dub script into subtitles but likely they hit a deadline and just said fuck it ship with the sub-subtitles. So what you're reading is the direct japanese translation, not the interpreted english translation

    so heres the real question, and a moment for me to glaze the frog! does this mean tsu is the only student not to actually be tested? cuz everyone else was assigned a teacher they would struggle against, and she was assigned to simply aid tokoyami. not cuz she had any weaknesses that needed to be covered by the exam

    Yeah, Todoroki and Yaoyorozu are still first-year students with the rest of classes 1-A and 1-B. The number denotes the year they’re attending. Classes with A and B classifications are all Hero Courses, whereas you have other letters for classes in Support, Business, and General Studies. The only thing that differentiates Todoroki and Yao-Momo from their peers is that they got into UA on recommendations due to their abilities and relations, while the rest of the students had to pass the entrance exams that we saw against the robots at the beginning of the show.

    Japanese High School is grades 10-12 actually, so it'd only be three years.

    All of Class 1A are freshmen. Japan’s high schools only have 3 years so thats a little different too

    Todoroki and Momo are not a year older they are the same age and grade as everyone else, their only difference is that they got into UA through recommendations and everyone else had to take the entrance exam
