Some backstory on the Nomu with wings if no one's mentioned it yet... It was revealed he was one of the kids that used to hang out with Bakugou and Deku when they were kids. You'll see him in flashbacks, he has red wings.

People theorize that might be why he grabbed Deku in that moment, subconsciously, it might've recognized him. Or it was ordered to because of Shigaraki. Either way, makes it pretty sad and messed up.

Come back to stain figuring out his quirk once you meet toga and learn about her backstory. Turn it'll make a lot more sense

Does Erik think cause they mentioned All for one killing All might's predecessor and All for one injuring all might in the same sentence that they happened at the same time. The injury was 5 years ago and the death of his predecessor was very clearly a long while ago. Has Erik's entire brain just evaporated and his head is full of smoke it seems like he misses or misunderstands almost everything he watches

Honestly, while I get that at face value, it's kinda dumb that you can get in trouble for using your Quirk to defend yourself or save someone, I imagine it's a reflection of just how bad things were when Quirks first appeared. There was probably so much chaos that they had to overcorrect just to get things under control. Plus, different Quirks bring different levels of danger. Imagine if someone with a poison gas Quirk tried to defend themselves and ended up accidentally killing like a city block's worth of people or something like that.

You've highlighted the problem there are a lot of dangerous perks and some outright only really useful for harming others. If you have untrained and inexperienced people using their powers freely in a high stress situation how many situations would be made worse. Cut some debris to free someone and hit a support pillar that brings down the unstable building, Bakugo using an explosion to defend himself and killing or crippling a nearby child. Its a complicated issue do you restrict quirks even in self defence legally while allowing the courts to exercise some discretion like the chief of police did covering it up or do you let them use it and risk making a bad situation worse because they don't understand all the risks and hazards needed to properly rescue or combat some one?

It's funny hearing the English dub and seeing the subs Endeavor at the same time. In the English, he's a little bit disrespectful (or at least blunt) to Gran Torino by calling him "old man," but in the Japanese version, he's actually super respectful, calling him "honored elder."

Stain has to be one of the best characters, his arc was so intense and I want more of him.

Refer back to this question about Stain figuring out his quirk much MUCH later, like in the 8th season.

I never notices shigaraki alway keeps one finger up when touching anything. So he does not concously activate his quirk but everytime five fingers touch something

It was stated in the first season that All Might received his injury 5 years ago. He was number 1 for a long time tho even before that.

I love how they characterized stain as a true grey hero. He's a monster, sure, but he keeps his morals and still believes in heroes in the same way as Deku and All Might, in a twisted way. Just like how Deku rushes in to save Bakugo and Urara without thinking, Stain recognized Deku as a true hero and was first one to act, not stand around, and save a person he recognized was in need after Deku got snatched. He's still done awful things, but his convictions are really interesting as a parallel to Deku.

For reference of time frame. I think all might was born in our equivalent to 2015, and the presence of quirks led to humans no longer seeking space travel and other technology became more stagnant. If I recall correctly.

Its explained in some mha media that everyone is drawn to the use of their quirks in some way, and the quirks can even affect their personality growing up.

you gotta frame it in context here, all three of them broke away from their pros to engage stain. Midoriya and Iida both did it without getting any pro heros attention and iida deliberately tryed to play vigilante here. Todoroki was the least at fault but hes still going by himself to help handle a problem that legally no justification for doing so, if your buildings going up and you call the fire department then going back into the flames is very reckless even with good intentions

regardless the police can't really officially cosign someone seeking out a murderer and kicking the shit out of him especially teenagers

tbf to stain, dude was putting up a strong fight against 3 of the strongest heroes in training in the top school in the country, todoroki right now would probably be strong enough to beat most heroes short of like the top probably 50 or 60 and even then it depends on if their powers can effectively counter his,

It just sucks that so many villains will try to "follow stains ideals" but are just fanatics who don't get why he was doing what he did and instead just want a reason to cause harm

When you were questioning how Stain discovered his quirk you suggested maybe some quirks come with an Instinct, and are right on, quirks can shape personalitiesand without care that can go very badly.

i mean i imagine if he licked a cut as a little kid and was paralyzed it would become pretty apparent but yeah pretty sure him having a massive tongue clued doctors he had a quirk related to his mouth and normal humans cant process blood directly like that so him and you know who probably have unique stomachs to not risk being ill from drinking blood

To add on to how long All Might's been around: It's been confirmed (not really in show but outside of it) that All Might was a hero when Aizawa was a teenager at UA. Aizawa is 30 (at this current point in the season) and All Might is roughly 55+. Meaning All Might was a hero before Aizawa was even born. It can be estimated Gran Torino was in his 20's-30's during the flashback, so he'd be probably around 70 years old at this point.

Also a clarification on Shigaraki's quirk. It's not a specific hand that activates the decay. All he has to do is lay all of his fingers down on something or someone and it decays. He can't control it at all, like Uraraka's quirk. Hence why when he's holding things he always has a finger or two lifted. It's both his hands that do this.

So excited to see the rest of s2 and eventually the later seasons! There's so many interesting characters coming up soon :]!
