That's actually not how she get's that hair change in her hair! In the Comics and X-Men cartoon series it was from somewhere else that gives her that streak for some reason they changed it to this in the movie!
Yeahhhh 20th Century Fox (at the time) really took ALOT of liberties with changing character appearances, origins, personalities, even going so far to killing off Senator Kelly in their first movie.

Just recently my home community was attacked in Bondi. An to not feel safe in my city is a cooked experience. Not looking to play the sympathy card or anything just wanted to express how in times of turmoil yall are such a comfort to turn to.

Bold claim about The Last Stand. There are actually a lot of people i’ve heard say that looking back it wasn’t as bad as they remembered. I enjoy it more than this first movie, but it doesn’t hold a candle to the 2nd. X3 poorly handles a couple characters, but the action sequences are solid to good, and the overall plot is just fine.
Would it have been cannibalism if they had put Senator Kelly in a glass and drank him after he went full gusher?

I'll be honest though, I am most excited for you to get to First Class and Days Of Future Past, they are by far my favorite X-Men films. Days Of Future Past trumps First Class just a smidge but they both are fantastic. Can't wait for those!

For X-Men movies from Fox 20th Century Studios, there is X-Men, X2 X-Men United, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men First Class, The Wolverine, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Deadpool, X-Men Apocalypse, Logan, Deadpool 2, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and finally, The New Mutants. I never seen New Mutants but those are all the original Fox X-Men movies that released before they were bought by Disney

I remember hearing that Toad was supposed to have a running bit where he spouts off toad facts throughout the movie but cut it and only kept Storm's line for some reason
The delay was for the initial plan being to blast the device, Cyclops called an audible and just clipped Magneto without saying anything to the group. So glad you guys got to this series.

Senator Kelly: "What is it mutants have to hide that makes them so afraid to identify themselves" promptly proceeds to read from a list of identified mutants proposing all the bad scenarios rather than "There's a mutant who can walk through walls what if she could use her power to help in rescue situations where someone is trapped." He literally just proves why the mutant registration bills a bad idea.

When you get around to days of future past theres two versions the second version is slightly extended and adds a character back in, that's only seen in the firat trilogy
I personally don't like the extended cut of Day Of Future Past, I just really don't care for the scenes they added and the character they bring back literally adds nothing. The theatrical version is better structured in my opinion, I much rather have them react to that version over the extended.

Rogue did not get the white hair like this. This was only for this movie. Rogue got her strength and flight powers from Capt Marvel when she almost drained her to death but because Capt Marvels powers are so strong she didnt die but went in to a comma. As a result the strength and flight powers never went away. The white hair she was born with at least in the comics.
Also scarlet witch and quicksilver were originally magnetos kids but were later retconned to not be his children
They changed their backstories in the mcu because at the time they didn't have the rights for xmen characters 🤔.

It’s a soft reboot since Apocalypse and sigh… Dark Phoenix make a new timeline. Hell Deadpool makes a joke about it in the 1st movie

It should be noted, in the comics, Wolverine's only power is his healing abilities. His claws are just part of his suit's gloves in the comics, so it's only for movie Wolverine where he has to pierce his skin for the blades to protrude out. Similar to how Tobey's Spider-Man made his webs naturally, whereas in the comics (and Andrew and Tom's) Peter makes his own web shooters with synthetic webbing.
Slight correction, in his original appearance his claws were a piece of equipment and he only had his healing factor. It was later retconned that his claws were part of his anatomy around the late 70's and later in the early-mid 90's it was retconned that they were actually bone claws covered in adamantium like the rest of his skeleton.
It's just one of those things that people like to constantly bring up, like Hulk originally being Grey. He had 9 comic appearances between his first and when it was officially made to be part of his body.. Compared to 3-4000 appearances since then.
There was a nice touch in X-Men TAS in a flashback where Logan met Cap and they used claw equipment to climb a cliff and he mentioned how much he likes them.

the only problem I have with the X men being a civil rights segregation allegory is the fact that they keep creating mutants that can wipe out entire towns in a blink of an eye, shit like that makes the fear that people like senator Kelly have valid in some ways. sorry for the long-winded comment.

I think in a world with just the x-men you have a point, but in the wider world of Marvel it works just fine. Everyone loves the FF and Human Torch is way more dangerous than Pyro but only one has sentinels to hunt them down by the gov't.
Yep you have also have a huge range of mutant powers including such things as a mutant with the ability to transform into any ice cream flavour, make his skin invisible (not his internal organs and bones just his skin), having a long neck or a great sense of smell and touch. At the other end of the scale you have non-mutants like Hyperion who is basically superman due to his powers as an eternal or silver Sentry/Void who got his from the super soldier serum and is again basically a superman level being. So while maybe you could make a case for any being with more than X level of power like Jim Jaspers (reality warper with near limitless power including raising the dead or even creating new sentient life forms) needing to be registered just blanket registring and hating only mutants doesn't really make sense in the wider marvel universe.
The funniest thing about Hugh playing Wolverine is that he thought it was based on wolves. He didn't know a Wolverine was a real animal.xD
