Also if you want more zombie on planes movies. You have Plane of the Dead and also part of Quarantine 2. :)
I am of the opinion if they say they are using a novel for inspiration use the material. If they had just said that it was a new zombie movie with no book refrense. No one would have said anything. But when they are using material that are loved by many. They should try to abide by it.
I am serious when I say this all four of y'all need to play World War Z
While I enjoyed this movie, I do think a proper World War Z movie would be a fake documentary about the zombie outbreak, which would be a fun concept. I think that's what upset a lot of people. They were expecting a documentary style movie, not an action movie.
1:18:58 Dang Ruff I was laughing so much it hurt at that comment XD
Love, death, robots on Netflix please. Multi-animated short stories, unique characters and spans across horror, sci-fi, fantasy and comedy.
Haha! did Ruff just coin the term "chekhov's limp" ? :P
do you miss it? he hesitated he totally misses it.
Yo, I want to HEAVILY recommend the movie Greenland. It's an amazing disaster movie and the sequel trailer just recently came out.
01:42:10 I see what you did there sean ;D
Talking about the planes btw, you guys should check out Flight and Sully.
Wait a minute, i've not seen this ending before.. I dont fully remember the one i've seen, but I think it might have ended on a plane with him looking out or something, and I was thinking "damn, what a cliffhanger". Though I might be totally wrong.. because i've searched for that ending, and just can't find it..
02:07:16 same shawn, i remember the same thing O_O
On the subject of medieval armaments they should have built those walls with overhangs so zombies can't just climb over like this.
Confirmed, Eric says "duck tape"
Amazing movie. 42:50 shouldn't be funny, but I laugh every time.
Great movie to be honest. It is a great one shot story. Not very much Zombie stuff have good ending like this one which I love my good endings.
The other scarry thing about zombies is it can be 30 of you, one of them. But it easily becomes 30 of them, one of you.
A virus that spreads this quickly I think might actually be stopped before it goes global. It wouldn't be able to spread on planes etc. so a swift military response might contain it like Shawn of the Dead.
night eats the world, the girl with all the gifts, cargo, and ravenous are some of my fav zombie movies. but id also love if yall dig into more of the resident evil movies
socialism is good for al as its the middle ground between capitalism and communism
Hoping you guys watch werewolf By Night on Disney Plus. It's isolated so there's no need to check out anything beforehand with the MCU
Ruff just being the "this is fine ._." guy is funny
It's funny how the moment the Israelis and Palestinians even begin to start getting along it causes the zombies to break through and all hell breaks loose. What do you mean by that movie?
About the shootout in the grocery store, I'm actually glad they depicted it that way, it's insane how many shots 2 people in a hallway 10ft apart can miss each other given adrenaline and such. You see the phenomenon all the time in police shootings.
I recommend you watch the series Mayday. It's about various plane crashes and investigations/causes. Not a react series but for your own selves.
At about 33 minutes, one of the soldiers says northern Minnesota is a safe zone, HELL Yeah id be good if this happened irl. 😂
Please watch train to busan, my fav zombie film defo worth it
They already have.
Does the guy remind Ruff of Baird because he's kind of an asshole lol
i think would really like dawn of the dead, overlord the movie, and the resident evil movies up to final chapter. Just giving you guys some idea's if your looking
Are y'all gonna continue Doctor Who?
You guys should react to Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse
I look at this film and ask myself whay if this was a prequel to world war Z book and the sequel would have had stuff from the book
This was actually supposed to be a duo duology rather than a stand-alone movie. The production company didn't have enough money to make the sequel that would actually follow the book better, so they didn't make it. It was teases ages ago that one was coming, then they abandoned it.
I haven't played the game in a long time, but from what I can remember, I would essentially describe it as Left 4 Dead, but with 100 times more zombies, and more structured campaigns. It's also not centered around just one group of survivors, each campaign takes place in a different country and with different survivors (off the top of my head, I remember New York, Jerusalem, Moscow being some of the choices). It can be quite hard, especially during massive waves, but it feels very satisfying, and the objectives are clear and laid out in a way that makes sense.
The Plague Tale series is cool, rat zombies with really cool massive swarm tech
Something interesting about this movie is 100% the scene where they are in Israel. The movie makes Israel seem smart for being so successful in holding back the virus. They are "gratious" enough to let the Palestinian people in to their Safe Haven. What caused the city to fall is them allowing a Palestinian girl to grab a mic and start singing. Very interesting moment, considering in the book, it is the complete opposite situation. In the book, there is a radical Israeli terrorist (group?) who riot over Israel "letting in Arabs".
It's also incredibly interesting how Pro-Zionist this movie is in general, repeatedly painting Israel as a victim when it very much isn't.
Not meaning to bring politics in, usually I don't discuss them, but this is a very politically charged movie, ESPECIALLY that section.
sounds like you're exactly the type to often bring up politics considering you called a zombie movie where Israel holds out before being overwhelmed because survivors did something stupid is crazy politically charged
Bro? I really don't lmao. Esp considering the guys were bringing up the very politics THEMSELVES IN THE COMMENTARY and making the same points as me... This wasn't bringing up politics where it's not necessary.
I read this before watching and got scared that it aged poorly. Then I watched the scene and saw that you really reached to get to this conclusion. At no point do they even say the word “Gracious” or even mention the Palestinians by name. The only indication we have that they’re Palestinian is that we see their flags in the crowd. “You’re letting people in?” “Every human we save is one less zombie we need to fight”. No mention of the specific people being let in because they’re not just letting in Palestinians. They’re letting EVERYONE in. There’s no line of dialogue where they act in anyway like some high horse saviors of humanity who are sheltering their enemies. They’re doing this because of self interest. I’m a leftist antizionist too but I’m not gonna invent problems with a movie that aren’t present. There’s nothing pro Zionist about that scene. You’re inserting issues that aren’t there.
Firstly, 90% of the people behind this movie are pro-Israel so it's not wrong to assume there are Zionist beliefs backing the decision to change the scene. Secondly, I wasn't WORD FOR WORD explaining what happened in the scene. The dude Gerry meets with pushes Pro-Israel beliefs on how he words things regarding past REAL LIFE EVENTS between Israel and "Arabs" (Palestinians) where Israel was in the wrong, but the scene paints Israel as the victim. The dude mentions there needing to be one person who must go against what everyone else is saying/approving. It's incredibly obvious that a LOT of the people being let in are Palestinian (waving flags), and the girl who takes the mic is Palestinian. Just because you cannot see the blatant subtext doesn't mean I'm "inventing things that arent there", especially when you take into account THE ORIGINAL BOOK SCENE?
Shut up
except in the book the terrorist group is stopped almost immediately
Even then, it's extremely interesting that the movie decided to flip the "bad guy" around in that situation. it doesnt matter if the group got stopped or not, the og aggressor in the scene was an israeli terrorist. suddenly in the movie its "dumb idiot palestinians who ruined everything by being loud". Like. You don't seen the weirdness in that?
that's wild. Hey your husband is dead doing a thing we sent him to do. Bye now. No grace period.
Or waiting a few days maybe a week to see if he's actually dead or just out of contact. I can so easily see a future communication "Wait? You sent my family out to die . . . ok I know the cure and this, this is the closest you'll ever get to it. Rot in hell you assholes!"
Not sure if you noticed, but the older scientist from the WHO centre in Wales was Peter Capaldi who plays the 12th Doctor in Dr Who (I know you've stopped watching that, I'm guessing because of views, but I wish you got to his doctor because he's a brilliant actor, as is Matt Smith). The other male scientist in the WHO Wales centre is an actor who was in Narnia Prince Caspian. Again, if you haven't watched the Narnia chronicles I highly suggest it, I think Bree would like it too
Wait is that confirmed they stopped watching it? I subbed to watch the full reactions here and if they are definately not doing any more I'll probably drop the sub.
It was said somewhere a month ago that they are on a hiatus with doctor Who but I believe they'll keep going at some point.
i would do what ever i had to do to protect my family. id be a bad husband and if im blessed with children id be a bad father. id do what i had to do.
Go Birds... Dallas sucks lol
there was a rabies outbreak in russia that people said was zombies and disbelieved as ai. while not zombies this did happen and was quickly contained. my biggest fear in ai is the power it gives to liars that make good people doubt their eyes.
Stay with me here, Family Guy remake of World War Z, but the cure is Meg, Meg is so repulsive to them they avoid her so everyone has to get Meg injections.
That is all
I remember being so excited when the movie was coming out and then I went and saw it and was so disappointed that I've never watched it since. I'm going to watch it now with you guys and take the book out of my head and just try to enjoy it as a zombie movie and see if it helps.
zombies like these and train to busan are one of my biggest fears, i wouldn't even have to die from the infection. the shock alone would be enough lmao
Hi guys can you react to final destination movies Please?
zombie media is honestly my favorite, i love it so much
ruff is on point with days gone because this is absolutely what inspired the days gone style of zombies
The book is such a solid read, probably my favorite zombie novel.
So the soldier with the leg managed to stop the virus from spreading because he cut off his leg. The only reason why they were saying 10 minutes for those people was because when a virus is first introduced into a human body, it's in a foreign land. It doesn't know what to do but the more it spreads the more it's familiar with its host body, which is why in the beginning we see it we see people turn in 12 seconds
I would love it if you guys watched contagion its an AMAZING FILM
When I got this on DVD, I invited my friend over to my house to watch it. We were 11 years old, and his parents wouldn't let him watch it. Good memories
I think the problem Brad Pitt had in making this is that it'd a perfectly acceptable zombie movie on its own but it was marketed as an adaptation of a very popular novel and to be honest it shares little more than a title with the book and that caused more than a little resentment with the built-in audience it was being marketed at.
It would have been better to try adapting it as a TV anthology series, with each episode covering different characters and period of time.
yeah you could do a pretty compelling adaptation in the style of chernobyl the mini series
pitts production company aquired the rights to making the movie and mel brooks commented he enjoyed the movie but didnt consider it an adaptation of hsi book. wwz the book is a documentary of accounts af ter the world has overcome the zombie virus basically investigative journalism undercutting plague tale vignettes. where the movie is more of the sole narrative
Never read the book but heard about that one bit with the wall against the horde. I wish that scene was in it. Still a cool zombie movie tho
fuck yeah, i literally rewatched this last night. timing is peak. if yall do some more res evil aswell to close the month then this october will be peak
I seen this when it came out in cinema, I remember liking it, but I don't remember how much.
