So while others may complain about you guys complaining, I love it. It's practically my inner monologue from watching this the first time as I was just as shell shocked and confused as to what the hell was going on. It's very much a fever dream that you aren't fully sure is real until you make others watch it too. It sounds like you guys had fun even as you were confused and annoyed lol

Dang this fun seeing the toll this film took on y'all. I do have memories of watching this as a kid on a dvd that came with 3d glasses much similar to spy kids 3d, but this is definitely one of those movies that as a kid you might find epic, but as an adult you cringe at.
This and Spy Kids 3d were just all about the gimmick of the 3d and utilizing the greenscreen, and boy the effects do not hold up (or rather they never did) 😅. Taylor Lautner is the main one trying so you can see why he got more roles after this. The kid playing Minus is also decent wish we saw him in more stuff after this. As is everyone else is at best passible and at worst bland or just bad in terms of acting.
This movie was based on the ideas and concepts from his children particularly Racer Max, and so that explains a lot about this movie. Although perhaps some level of sophistication could have been added to it.
All in all, if you guys want better kids movies to watch there's many examples, but if you also want more hilariously bad films like this to watch there is much to choose from as well. Sidenote, I never realized George Lopez was also the ice king with his voice sped-up, as a kid I was always confused about why the ice king had a feminine sounding voice 😅.

when I was a young lad, my mom took me to a video store and I rented what I thought was Sharkboy and Lavagirl, onlu to get home and find out it was some horror movie that was accidentally put behind the cover. I don't remember what movie it was, but the opening scene was some girl tied to a chair with a sack over her head and I said "I think this is the wrong movie"

omg I loved watching Sharkboy and Lavagirl as a kid. I still love it; it's so comically awful. Watching yall's reaction was such a treat! I laughed way more than I usually do when I've watched this in the past.
If you pause to read what's written in Max's dream journal it is the entire plot of the movie. He dreamt and wrote down the entirety of the movie already, and there is a pretty plausible theory that EVERYTHING that happened in the movie, both in and out of his dreams, was caused by him.
Shame that Sean and Eric decided to take this movie too seriously, I understand making fun of it, it's honestly a part of the charm, but i don't understand outright hating it as much as they did, nevertheless still a very entertaining reaction, hopefully they'll enjoy the Spy KIds sequals (if they're interested in watching of course), Rock On!
