I got busy this week, and missed a few drops. This was so exciting for me. This is one of my favorite movies!
SG1 started on Showtime till season 5. Then Sci-Fi took over for 5 more seasons, and two TV movies to finish SG1's storylines. Along with the spinoffs Stargate: Atlaintis (5 seasons, airing alongside SG1 8th season onwards) and Stargate: Universe (two seasons, taking place after SG1/SGA, and getting cancelled on a cliffhanger ending...)
The pyramids were covered in flat limestone that made them perfect pyramids not stepped blocks but most of the limestone was stripped to use for mosques later.
You should totally do SG1 or at least the Child of the Gods. I love SG1.
Fun movie, that lead to one of the best scifi series!! Would love to see you all check the series sometime!! And SG1 picks up one year after the movie.

This was awesome to see you guys react to! I also agree with Christian, the start is very similar to the start of Atlantis and both that movie and Treasure Planet are amazing hidden gems of Disney if you guys haven’t seen them.
You gotta do the show too, imo it's one of the best Sci fi series

Loved this movie, but could never get into the shows. Not trashing people that do like the shows, they just never really clicked with me (was more of a Farscape fan myself growing up)

I’m going to scream! They’re watching stargate!!! This was my Dad and me’s favorite sci-fi from the good old days before I had to pay taxes lol. Doubt you guys will watch the show, but definitely check a few episodes of SG1 and Atlantis out on your own time at least!
