There are some versions of spiderman in the comics where the webs are organic, I think the Ultimate Spiderman (Earth-13, and also the one that literally ascended to godhood) had webs that shot out of his wrists but I could be mistaken.
I gotta say, we all know what happens to Norman Osborn, but props to him for taking the proverbial bullet himself rather than forcing a coworker to do it in his stead. Does he have the best of intentions? No, but even still they had no clue what would happen and he still opted to be the guinea pig.

Spidermans whole bang is that he has one weakness, the people he cares about. Peter chooses the responsible route at the end of this movie to not allow MJ to get too close to him, because in the event his identity is revealed, she is his kryptonite. The more spiderman movies you watch the clearer that becomes, I dont disagree that its disappointing that they dont end up together, but I certainly dont think it diminishes the movie at all.
Later in the movies I started hating my, she felt more like the villain than the actaul villain XD

Bro harry is the real victim of these movies. Just in this first one he: Gets cheated on twice in the sense that he doesn’t know pete is spidey, and then his dad hates him, his dad dies, and then his friend is just like "yea me and spiderman are homies" "oh and your dad was an huge asshole btw". Like yea harrys a spoiled rich kid but hes still a a KID with obvious signs of emotional neglect. Bro doesn’t have a mom in his life and his dads all like " i never expected you to graduate highschool lol". The mj stuff was crazy but its stupid young adult relationship stuff thats just life.

I don't understand the hype around the second movie. Both the first ones are solid and I don't like any above the other. Same as the Amazing movies, they feel like a more modern Spider-man. They say Andrew Garfield is to cool to be a Peter Parker, but I just see it as, nerds were a bit cooler around that time so why not give him a Skateboard? If you ever watched a video from Skate IQ or hear Andy Anderson talking about skateboarding, you know they are also nerds. You can't compare a Peter Parker from the 70's to one who would exist in 2012. Also, these days Spider-man acts more like Deadpool with all the popculture references and nobody gets mad about that and let's not talk about what they did to the Spectacular Spider-man cartoon and what they came up with after that!

Yeah, it needs like that extra 2 points in the volume and it would be perfect. But I think it's hard cause every serie and movie has different sound. So sometimes something is really loud and sometimes is just really quiet.
My biggest complaint was never the webbing as it's just whatever to me. But that they made him have the grippy claws on his skin. 1) How does he turn it off to not be sticky? 2) In the comics, Peter can basically alter his gravitational field to stick to objects. No that doesn't make sense, but neither does grippy claws gripping through shoes.
Something that another reaction channel mentioned that's actually crazy to think about. MJ is kind of a slut if you think about it, she's hooked up with 3 different dudes and is already trying to hook up with a 4th (since she doesn't know Peter and Spider-man are the same person), all over the span of probably only a couple months at most
Tbh genuinely calling someone a slut is usually more of a red flag than the behavior that provoked the name-calling
She dated Flash in high school and broke up with him at graduation because she realized how much of a jerk he is. Is she not allowed to quickly move on after a high school relationship that she wasn’t even that happy in? She then starts dating Harry because he asked her out and the only time she isn’t faithful to him is the alleyway kiss, which I will admit is messy on her part but I do think there’s a difference between kissing someone when emotions are high after they just saved your life and sneaking around with them repeatedly. She then tells Peter about her feelings for Spider-Man and at the same time acknowledges it’s somewhat ridiculous on her part: “You’ll think I’m a stupid little girl with a crush.” She then realizes that Peter is the one she’s actually in love with because of what he says to her in that scene and then, after being kidnapped and nearly killed, decides to fully commit to the man she’s in love with. And while we technically don’t see her and Harry break up, it was pretty much over for them after the Thanksgiving dinner and Harry catching her holding Peter’s hand. (I would also make the argument that Harry isn’t so much sad over losing MJ than he is about losing MJ to Peter specifically due to his insecurities over his father favoring Peter).
MJ is absolutely a flawed character, she does make mistakes, she can be messy and she isn’t above criticism. But there’s so often a lack of empathy for her faults specifically. The scene of her father screaming at her that she’s trash is in in this movie for a reason, she comes from an emotionally abusive household which often leads to issues of self-worth which can make navigating adult relationships all the more tricky.
re:Biological Webbing vs Artificial Webbing, I believe Raimi (or someone else on production staff) commented that it just made more sense to him that Spider-Man's webbing came naturally, as opposed to being made of a compound that 3M's corporate assassins would absolutely murder a high school kid to acquire. It wasn't that it dumbed Peter down, it just made less sense to him/them that a high schooler would be able to come up with the compound that works as it does.
Not to mention, if it's synthetic, how in the world does he store enough of it to actually use? Not that it's perfectly logical as a biological thing, but it at least makes suspension of disbelief a bit easier imo

2) Harry went behind Peter's back to ask MJ out and MJ doesn't even seem that happy with him so we aren't feeling that warm towards Harry at this point
3) I'm not saying Peter and MJ aren't being messy but I think there's a difference between sneaking around with someone else wanting to date him and kissing someone when emotions are high after they just saved your life

Aww I missed when they used to constantly pause the movie/show. I know people didn't like it, but for me it made them stand out. instead of going on tangents and missing important reaction spots they pause it and even go back whenever they felt they needed to. Obviously they still do that but it used to be much more frequent.
I understand. It's sometimes annoying when they miss an important scene or listen to dialogue or something. The pausing was sometimes annoying but I would just skip it, but I wish they did more rewinding to rewatch what they missed.
I didn't know people disliked it, that's crazy. Like, if you don't like it, then just skip ahead, geez.

Even though i wouldn't, I get what Ruff is saying. If you learn early on that the only way to get ahead is to be a shitty person (Flash getting the girl and is popular, Wrestling manager getting paid and stiffing the little guy, robber also getting money) then you can easily become a villain if you don't have the right headspace.
Just think somewhere out there is a universe where the owner? pays Peter the 3 grand, Peter stops the carjacker, Uncle Ben lives and Peter becomes an underground wrestling champion.

Osborne was trying to recreate the supersoldier serum (Captain America Juice.) So Green Goblin is as or maybe even stronger than Captain America.
I think canonically he's much stronger but his version comes with the whole insanity, aggression drawbacks and lacks some of the perks that Erskine's formula had. Focused more on strength than general improvements.
It was filmed pre 9/11 they had either a shot that was in the movie or a movie poster of Spiderman climbing the Twin Towers and they had to take it out in post after

i find it hilarious how insanely inappropriate it was for MJ to confess her love for peter at the funeral of her (ex? because they never broke up on screen) boyfriends dads funeral, making out with him, only to get friendzoned by the nerd everyone bullies.
Everyone else had left by that point though, it's not like she did it in front of Harry. And that confession was a direct result of her being kidnapped and almost killed, I feel like she deserves some bit of trauma leeway.

This was one of the movies where 9/11 happened during production. They had to remove a bunch of sequences that featured the twin towers. Monsters, Inc. and the first Lilo & Stitch were also both impacted by 9/11. Monsters, Inc. replaced what was originally a giant explosion meant to level that restaurant Sully and Mike were at with that weird green forcefield (you can still see Sully's fur blow back from the original explosion shot and if I remember correctly one or both have some mild smoke stains/singe marks due to the explosion that was removed from the final cut of the movie. And the final spaceship chase sequence in Lilo & Stitch was originally supposed to take place in downtown Honolulu, weaving between buildings, with Stitch using a hijacked 747 instead of Jumba's ship. For obvious reasons, a scene involving a hijacked jumbo jet flying in between skyscrapers was decidedly replaced by a cute spaceship flying around the trees and mountains. Also, George Carlin had a special that was ultimately scrapped after talking about how mankind was due for and deserving of the next big catastrophic event that would cause a lot of deaths. He filmed this special on September 10, 2001. Go figure.

I’ve never been a fan of Tobey as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, but I really think this was a solid film for its time. Along with X-Men, it was a major step for comic book movies.

There was actually a trailer that involved Spidey catching a helicopter full of bank robbers in a web between the Twin Towers that was obviously pulled after 9/11. I've even heard some people theorize that scene was originally in the movie as the first big reveal of Spider-Man.
