I agree with Sean, Tobey Maguire Spider-Man will always be the best!! But I do think that Andrew Garfield plays a better version of Peter Parker. Tobey Maguire Spider-Man are so iconic and the score is one of the best parts of the movie (especially the beginning credits and final swing). Looking forward seeing you guys react to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield!!!!!

If everyone had been brought back exactly where they were then like 99% of the returned would have immediately died because whatever planet or spaceship they were on would have moved somewhere else in the universe. And even if they were lucky enough to land back on a planet they could have easily fused into another solid object. So yes, Bruce made sure to add a safety clause to his snap.

People shit on the spider sense thing but Peter's powers do go dormant from time to time and the last big time his spider sense went off was the snap. His body probably has trauma from that and doesn't do it because of how it felt last time. He had to overcome that which he does by the end of this movie.

I remember it being explained that everyone that got dusted made it back safely, but anyone that died as a result of someone getting dusted stayed dead.

So if you were on a plane and got dusted, you came back on the ground, but if you didn't get dusted and then the plane crashed because the pilot got dusted, then you don't come back.

01:08:04 Ruff: "Tony Stark is gone, because he saved everyone"

So... as long as he does a good thing in the end, all evil he does in his lifetime is justified?

We gonna go down this path? Really?

So any person who does a crapton of bad stuff, selfish stuff, is justified in doing so, as long as their last action - is a good one (affecting everyone - but still)?

    Yikes.

And you're going to ignore/forget that, in the same movie you're referring to, Tony tried to: end his weapons-dealing program because of the harm it was doing, made the Iron Man suit to help locate and destroy terrorist cells using his tech, did his best to keep the US government from using his tech (a play on how distrusting he was of the gov and for good reason because they were working with Hammer in Iron Man 2)...or do you want me to continue on the list of plenty self-sacrificial things he's done WAY before Endgame?

My favorite Spider-Man movies are the Tom Holland ones. I like Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man but I dislike his movies. They*re in my opinion the worst ones and he's a pretty poor Peter Parker. He's a great Spider-Man tho.

The Tobey movies were released when I was too small to watch them. I watched them around 17-18 years after the first two came out and as a result they came across way too corny for me. I think they're best appreciated if you grew up with them or watched them closer to release than more than a decade and a half later in a totally different cbm landscape.

Tom's movies and his portrayal worked just right for me so they're my favorite. Then I'd probably put the first two og Spider-Man movies and spider-Man 3 and Andrew's movies all sit at the same table at the bottom.

if you decide to watch the X Men movies too I'll be very interested if you decide to watch First Class and Days of Future Past too. Those are my favorite X Men movies to date

I can't wait to see WandaVision and Loki. Those are the best shows by far and they're important to understand some movies in Phase 4 to 6 as well as the upcoming Avengers movies. They were also the most popular shows with the fans. Falcon and the Winter Solider is also somewhat important bcs it introduces a character that's important to know for the future but I don't think it's a very good show. I haven#t revisited it once since 2021. I haven't really seen any of the other ones except Hawkeye. I got to content overload very fast post 2021 and in 2022 I dropped all mcu tv show and just stuck with movies and I understood them just fine. I only watched s2 of Loki in 2023 and that was it. That being said I hope they'll do well enough for you, whichever you chose to watch going forward.

Unfortunately Phase 1-3 is peak Marvel and it's a bumpy road ahead with lots of projects that missed the mark but there's some absolute highlights and big important projects in there too. I hope you'll enjoy it anyway and it will all do well. I'm personally most excited for No Way Home, Multiverse of Madness, WandaVision and Loki. I heard Guardians Vol 2 is also very good but I haven't seen it yet.

I will tell you who is the best actor for Spider Man and that is Tom Holland because Stan Lee himself the very man who created the character says he deeply admired Tom Holland's portrayal of Spider-Man, considering him the ultimate version of the character. Lee stated that Holland embodied the Spider-Man he envisioned when creating the character, and he even went as far as to say that it was as if they had created a living being to be Spider-Man and it turned out to be Tom. Lee also appreciated Holland's dedication to the role, his intelligence in approaching it, and his overall likability.

Want your mind blown? The fact that Fury and Hill were Skrulls was hinted all movie and even before it. There's no spoilers btw.

"Hill" called him "Nick" all movie, but he said in Captain Marvel "Everyone calls me Fury. Not Nick, not Nicholas. Just Fury. My mother calls me Fury." So hearing it here sounds too casual for them after recalling the fact.

I suppose the line "Appearances can be deceiving" might be a double nod but more so before that I think Happy said Fury left a surfboard at Tony's which may be a reference to Talos' surfer disguise in Captain Marvel.

The best one, which someone else commented under Captain Marvel, was when he told Carol in the 90s that he *cannot* eat sandwiches cut diagonally. But before that movie we see Fury pop up at Clint's house in Age of Ultron, and casually eat a diagonal sandwich. He was likely Talos for years.

So the theorists looked for when they switched, and I think this makes sense: when he faked his death in Winter Soldier after getting ambushed by Hydra.

Funny thing is The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is officially designated as Earth-199999 in the Marvel multiverse — not Earth-616.

While “Earth-616” is the main continuity in the original Marvel Comics, the MCU was given its own universe number, 199999, to differentiate it as a separate continuity from the comics.

The confusion started when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness referred to the MCU as Earth-616 — but that was likely an in-universe mistake or perspective (from characters like Christine Palmer in that specific multiverse).

In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales comes from Earth-1610, and the film references the MCU (e.g., mentioning “Doctor Strange and that little nerd from Earth-199999”). This reinforces that even within the broader multiverse of Sony’s Spider-Verse, the MCU is not Earth-616.
