The extra funny part about Randy sitting on the couch telling Jamie Lee Curtis to watch out is that Randy's actor is also named Jamie
What bugs me is Sidney saw that so she had to know he was probably telling the truth about Stu.
Just to add onto that Drew Barrymore marketing story Boom talked about, Drew actually WAS gonna be the main character. It's just that later on before filming started she wanted to be the opening kill instead. Got her stuff done in like week.
As such, we then got Neve Cambell, and unironically I think that choice MADE this movie. Neve is one of the best actresses of any slasher and one of my favorites.
Also fun fact, the va for Ghostface? Yeah NOBODY in the cast ever met him during filming. To add onto the mystery and dread of not being able to put a face to the killers voice.
Sauce where I learned this? Dead Meat who goes into all the behind the scenes lore of movies and their productions whilst counting up all the kills in his ever famous Kill Count series.

Ah, my favorite slasher franchise. a slasher where the movies don't get progressively dumber as time goes on and actually stay good.
There's a fun theory that I completely believe, so when Billy comes to Sydney in the beginning of the movie he was doing that not only to create an alibi for himself, similar to what Stu did with Tatum but also to distract Sydney by the fact that Stu was taking her dad at that moment. It had to have been that night because he was wearing the same clothes when he came to check on her and to me that completely changes that entire scene, makes it more disturbing.
And there are so fun facts about this movie. Linda Blaire, who plays Regan in the Exorcist was the reporter that asked "how does it feel to be almost brutally butchered." Also, not only was Drew Barrymore on all the posters and advertisements but she was originally supposed to play the Sydney character but chose to die first. The video store scene is actually a lot more important the second time you watch it. Because not only does Randy get right about who the killer is, well at least one of them but also that her dad was going to show up in the final reel and the way they are surrounding Randy, Stu hunching over him and fiddling with his ear is now a bit more unsettling, they were both intimidating him without Randy even realizing it. Sure, he knew Billy was but not Stu. And also Rose McGowen could fit through the cat door, they actually nailed her shirt down so she wouldn't go through it all the way. And like others have said there was quite a bit of improvised lines and accidents that honestly makes the film even better.
"So, What you're saying is, everyone should carry guns..." Yes...what do you mean, the answer is Yes dude lol
Definitely continue with the series!

Fun fact Billy hitting Stu with the phone was an accident so that was Matthew lillards real reaction and he ad libbed the “my mom and dad are going to be so mad at me
Matthew Lillard killed this role, I love how he's just crazy and so over the top, he's such a blast in this movie. He actually improvised a lot, such as "Houston we have a problem here" and "I always had a thing for you Syd." And I need to add this too, when Sydney in the scream mask stabs Billy with the umbrella the stunt person actually had missed the padding and hit Skeet Ulrich right where he had heart surgery when he was younger, so his reaction was also completely genuine.
It was not scripted for Billy to throw the phone and hit Stu, so that’s his real reaction 😂
Please watch all the Screams, it's the most consistently good horror franchise!

Someone mentioned that when Skeet Ulrich got stabbed with the umbrella it missed the pad and actually hit him. The really important part of that mistake is that as a kid Skeet had open heart surgery and has metal webbing under his skin over the incision. His facial reaction and surprised gasp of pain was very real. He was down for a while.
Really looking forward to you guys reacting to the Scream franchise! I'm so glad you guys are doing horror films again!

What's funny was the Scream was originally supposed to be a slasher that makes fun of other Slashers which is why all the characters make stereotypical mistakes. However it was so popular that it became it's own iconic franchise
