Another comment! You can't get to Erika, cause you need HM01 Cut and you need to beat Surge so your Pokémon can use the move. After Surge you can do stuff out of order.
Ash his dad is alive. You would've know that if you watched the whole anime from start to finish! (He gets one mention at the last episode.xD)
the talking Pikachu moment I always took as when Ash truly understood what Pikachu was trying to say for the first time ever... in the anime it is established that eventually Ash has a pretty good idea of what exactly Pikachu is saying to him with every "Pika Pika" so in the movie I figured that the climax of the movie was when Ash finally understood what Pikachu was saying because their bond had finally reached that point.
I think if they had made reference to the fact that eventually trainers become so in sync with their Pokémon that they can truly understand what they were saying at some point earlier in the movie it might have not stood out so much...
(01:14:47) Incineroar is fire/Dark, not fighting (it's a wrestler that plays dirty) It seemed like a trend that a lot of fire starters ended up evolving into fighting types, so i think people were glad this one was different.
(01:37:06) those aren't just the different trainers from the games, those are specifically the ones Ash has travelled with on his journey. Yall have only watched the ones with Misty, Brock, & May & her little brother, but Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Clemont & his little sister Bonnie, and Serena are all the ones i remember being the most fond of. This movie has a lot of gen 7 pokemon, (like Incineroar and Marshadow,) and although this movie released like a year after the Sun and Moon games and anime started airing, the Alola team not shown here has some of my favorite of the friends he's made on his adventures
The thing i like about the anime compared to the games is that most of the rules and restrictions that apply in the games only exist to make it function properly as a game, but the anime is just higher quality and they dont need as many of those restrictions. Even then they mostly stay true to each other, watching the anime so much gives me imagination while playing the games, like when a pokemon dodges an attack or tanks a hit that should have knocked them down just "so you wouldn't feel sad" where in the anime they would have used some elaborate combination of moves in ways you wouldnt expect. I honestly wish they put as much effort into the mainline games as they do the show and most spin off games
Just a reminder/ fun fact that Ash's name in Japan is Satoshi, and when Pikachu says "Pikapi" he's saying Ash's name
nah the Butterfree scene gets me because it reminds me of THAT anime episode
I really recommend watching the XY anime, it’s really good and has great story and lore involved.
Ash and Pikachu 100% died and Ho-Oh resurrected them. Which is the lore behind Ho-Oh, 3 'unidentified' pokemon died when a tower burned to the ground, its speculated they were Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon, as Ho-Oh resurrected them to become Entei, Suicune, and Raikou. And those who hide Ho-Oh's secret location, are Shrine Maidens who wield all the Eeveelutions in Gen 2, supporting the theory those who died were the original eeveelution trio.
And to clarify, I meant Ash and Pikachu died in the original anime. I posted this before I watched the movie XD
So you guys gonna watch the Rise of Darkrai movie?
I love how they didn't recognize the Blastoise and Venusaur at the beginning were the ones that got cloned in Mewtwo Strikes back... Or they didn't mention it anyways.
Starters have special default abilities like Blaze, Torrent and Overgrow that power up their type moves when their HP is low. No, Incinearoar is actually a Fire/Dark type despite its design being suited for one of fighting type
You guys better react to the power of you next cause it comes next.
have you guys concidered reacting to the indigo league chapter at the least of the anime?
The old guy wearing Red’s hat.
my favourite part of this movie is the pokecenter scene at the end, Ash basically told nurse joy "i threw a rat at a god", and if we go off of game logic the pokemon that looses faints and pikachu is awake in that scene, so technically he just said "i threw a rat at a god and won."
Love the Pokemon movies keep it up my favorite is Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel
Would love to see yall go through the deeper lore of each gen! could be good fun, or even just the X Y and omega ruby and alpha sapphire stuff in prep for ZA
Did you notice that the two trainers from the intro battle are two of the of the three that were on mewtwo’s island with ash in the first Pokémon movie
Honestly would love to see all three of you watch the kanto series. Cant go wrong with the classics
I thought (and was hoping) this was gonna be from the B&W era due to the art style, but I forgot about Sun & Moon. I'd watch this but I only got a few episodes into the show's season when it first started airing. I do wanna go back to it and catch up at some point, after rewatching B&W maybe.
B&W was my childhood. I did end up starting to watch Pokemon from the very first episode, and I know I got far, but B&W is THE era for me. Would be cool to see you react to some of the movies from it.
I’ve always thought about Pikachu “talking” as Ash and Pikachu’s bond being so strong that Ash understood him in that moment, and Pikachu didn’t literally speak . I just think it maybe wasn't conveyed the best
Please do the next Pokemon movies that were after Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea.
Pleaseee react to the diamond and petal movies they are the best!!
What Eric is describing at the end of the reaction is pretty much what the manga is
Thsi is not The Rise of Darkrai!
but eh
AHH, I saw Pokemon and was hoping it was Rise of Darkrai. They stopped right before one of the best Pokemon movies 😭🥲
The Original Dub voice of Jesse and Misty passed away a year ago.
James and Meowth's English voice actors also passed away
To be honest, I wished you guys didn’t skipped the ones after the temple of the sea, but still happy you uploaded another pokemon movie reaction.
By the Way, if you want to branch out to Pokemon stuff that does not include the shows or games, the Pokemon Adventure manga is very good. In fact Pokemon’s creator, Satoshi Tajiri, has said the manga is his preferred version of the story.
Having pikachu speak is still one of the weirdest decisions they've ever done😂
YES!!!! MY FAVOURITE POKEMON MOVIE
never thogth i'll be happy from you skipping other movies haha
