  1. So I hope this is seen… In the latest version of Pokemon on Netflix. We get shown a forest with Mewtwo in charge full of Pokemon.. that is a direct reference to the Pokemon leaving with him in the first movie.

  2. 12:21
It is probably to late to write this comment, but I just wanna say that in the Japanese version he didnt look for ash specifically, he just ask if he have gym badges and if he’s a trainer and than battle him

  3. I heard you guys say it, but didn’t even notice the subs, so now I shall remark on it.
Brock’s stew was a ‘no-chew’ stew. Not sure how they got ‘juice’.

  4. Pokémon 3: The Movie, Pokémon 4Ever, Pokémon Heroes, Pokémon: Destiny Deoxys, and Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew are my favorites. I don’t remember Pokemon 2000 too well but all of these I highly recommend. After these, I haven’t seen the others. But that is roughly when I started to lose a bit of interest in the anime. I love Pokemon, it was my childhood, but when I was in middle/high school it always bugged me that Ash would not age. I finished Dimond and Peal and stopped watching the show and then got into One Piece. I liked the anime that had story arcs and move forward but with Pokemon after each region, it was as if the story stopped and rewind time to then start exploring a new region. Either Ash had to start aging or they had to have new characters in my opinion. So when Ash’s story ended in the anime although I was a bit sad I felt it was a good end for a new beginning.

  5. Love to see more Pokemon reactions. There are a ton of movies because there’s basically one for every legendary in the all the games. Another option to consider could be to react to the new Pokemon Horizons anime too.

  6. Did Boom get totally confused when Sogeking appeared in One Piece? Like not knowing who it was, seeing as he didnt notice Team Rockets boat here? xD

  7. this was SO good. I would love to see you guys react to some more of the pokemon movies and some of the banned episodes, maybe the first few episodes of the anime too just so boom knows whats going on

  8. So fun fact Ash’s Japanese name is Satoshi and when Pikachu is nudging him saying Pika Pi after he gets caught in the blast between Mew and Mewtwo he’s actually calling his name Satoshi. Sat-osh-i = Pi-ka-pi

  9. I’ve never been a fan of the Pokemon games (I can’t stand grinding), but the Pokemon show and the Pokemon movies are near and dear to my heart. I loved watching Boom’s flabbergasted reactions (especially to the “vikings”). I can’t wait for y’all to watch the rest of the Pokemon movies. I stopped watching them after a certain point, but it’d be great to see Boom just try to guess what’s happening and continue to be surprised by the world.

  10. I would love to see you guys react to the Pokemon movies and I also really would love to see you guys react to the Pokemon XY Series is probably the best series of them all in my opinion

  11. Just a heads up, they cut the beginning for the American release cause 4kids thought it was too dark. One of the clones was the lead professor’s daughter (his motivation for the project) and she told Mewtwo that Pokémon tears are filled with life. The lady from harbor also said that Pokémon tears revived the people after the world was flooded so they foreshadowed how Ash would have been brought to life.

Side note, I would love to see a Pokemon 2000 reaction. Lugia’s song is still one of my favorite musical pieces.

  12. You guys mentioning stealing player pokemon, you should check out Pokemon Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness. Those games specifically have a feature called “snagging” where you catch pokemon from npcs, but in the story you capture shadow pokemon to purify them. The antagonists use it to steal innocent pokemon.

  13. Did You Know that in Pok
Whenever Pikachu says “Pika pi” it is actually saying Ash’s name.
This is because his name is “Satoshi” in Japanese.
This is a cute detail that makes the heartfelt moments more impactful when you know Pikachu is crying out for it’s trainer.

  14. I would recommend watching the first three movies in Japanese as well, it’s really interesting to see the differences between the two versions, especially on the first movie. Of the first three movies I think the Third one holds up the best.

  15. The first 5 movies are legitimately great. 3 is in a league of its own, but 4 is my favorite. I also love the 5th one (Heroes).
Fun fact, there is a special called Mewtwo returns. Not a feature film, so the animation isn’t as good, but it does continue the story. (Also has one of the franchise’s biggest memes) That said, Mewtwo does have a different voice, as his original VA passed away shortly after this movie came out.

  16. I remember watching this movie as a kid. It was the first animated/anime film I ever cried over.
Anyway, I would love to see you all react to the Pokémon movies! I’m sure you all would love them! Also there’s a special, it’s not an actual movie, but it’s basically the sequel to this movie. It takes place in Johto. So if you react to it, it would take place probably between the third and fourth films. Also just to let you all know that the last 3 films that were made (starting from Pokémon, I Choose You and onwards) are set in an alternate universe where Ash had a different start to his journey.
Also I’d love to see you all react to the banned episodes ?
One last thing, you all mentioned wanting a stealing Pokémon mechanic in the games. I don’t know if you all know this, but there’s two games (Pokémon Colosseum and it’s sequel, XD: Gale of Darkness) that revolves around that.

  17. Would love to see you guys react to more Pokémon movies! I’ve been going through and rewatching them for awhile now to make a tier list. This first one is in S tier!

  18. Was this watered down for the American audiences at all? I know sometimes anime can be a little darker originally… like Voltron and Sailor Moon and such.

  19. Just a heads up: There are a couple of versions of this movie, and this looks like the original version…which cut off a ton of Mewtwos backstory, basically his whole motivation.

At the beginning, he asks if all before was just a dream. He refers to what he experienced before, when he and the four others clones they made shared the same dreamlike reality. Next to Mewtwo, a Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle were cloned, as well as Mr. Fujis deceased daughter Amber (which was his main motivation to do this experiment), and the cloned Amber showed the Pokemon her memories of the world and talked to them. And then, suddenly, all the other clones failed and faded away, leaving MewTwo confused and angry. The scientists sedated him briefly, and I think induced Amnesia, but his actions afterwards make a lot more sense, once you know, what he felt and what was taken from him.

  20. I remember re-watching this movie so much as a kid, though it was Pokemon 2000 that was my all time favorite. If you guys watched the entire series, too… I would totally love to see that reaction. X3

  21. Y’all should think about showing boom episode 1 of the original Pokemon if y’all are gonna watch more Pokemon movies. He should at least know the origin.

  22. I just wanna say: The movie ”I Choose You” is starting like the real series but the movie is not like the show, it is like ”What if”, ash travels with a very diffrent pepole the story himself is not like the show at all (apart from the start)

  23. I did watch Pokemon growing up, don’t remember Giovanni that well, but knowing Yugioh very well, Giovanni and Bakura having the same VA is very cool.

  24. I remeber seeing this in Theaters when I was like 6 and getting the Egyptian Mew card. and then also getting the same card with the VHS. It was AWESOME!
