I'm glad that another generation of Marvel fans will be able to experience Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, but this would've been, and y'know what, I still is, one of the greatest send offs of a legend.
Just as an addon to this, while I disliked Endgame (at least 2/3rds of it), the only other send offs I think that are comparable to Logan's death are Black Widow and Tony Stark. Idk if that's a hot take or not.
If you guys watch Days of Future Past it explains the timeline shenanigans. And if you guys do watch the Rogue Cut of the film.
Just for anyone interested...the entirety of the X-Men self-contained franchise should be watched in the following order to best fit story purposes and to help avoid spoilers for newcomers. --- X-Men: First Class, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men, X2: X-Men United, X-Men: The Last Stand, the Extended Cut of The Wolverine, the Rogue Cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men Apocalypse, X-Men: The Dark Phoenix, Deadpool, The New Mutants, Logan, and lastly...the Super Duper Cut of Deadpool 2.
For anyone unfamiliar. James Howlet is Wolverine's real name; For reasons unknown to myself he goes by Logan.
Just for anyone confused by the "Source DNA: James Howlet" bit.
Glad to have seen this comment and I'd love to share an add-on to it. The most consistent reason for the name change (not including any retcons) is that he took the name from his father (Thomas Logan) and carried it on after he killed him. Additionally, after he had his adamantium operation, part of his healing factor included blocking out traumatic memories. He was given the name Logan post-op to protect his real identity and it stuck.
Peace Peace. I Was Gon Watch This Regardless But The Thumbnail Had This Higher On My List. Mann I'm Ready, Let's Go.
EXCUSE ME?! I missed this?....Well, time to fix that.
