you guys need to watch "Joseph: King of Dreams".
If you guys do The Dark Crystal next, please start with the show on Netflix! The movie will spill it otherwise 😁
The Secret Light of Nimh, The Goonies, Honey I shrunk the kids, and Ferngully would be amazing!
If you're serious about watching scary 80s Disney for the love of creative freedom watch The Black Cauldron!
Loved rewatching with you guys! Please check out Little Shop of Horrors 1986!!! (Director's Cut) 😁
The reason the bonfire fellas look kind of off is that they're not green screen but in fact black screened; the puppeteers had to wear black felt, and the room they were in was entirely black felt as well. The behind the scenes is crazy to watch, because the felt had to be completely flawless or it wouldn't have worked at all. It still looks slightly off, admittedly, but pulling that scene off in the first place was herculean in the 80s.
Jennifer Connelly has said in interviews that it was a great experience working with David Bowie. She was 14/15 when they filmed this, she said he was always very kind and easy going. And that he always made sure she was comfortable in their scenes together.
80's disney went hard. perfect example is the brave little toaster. where a repair shop was a house of murder watching a blender getting murdered for its motor. or near the end where cars were getting killed because they were no longer useful.
You definitely need to watch the Dark Crystal it’s epic
A Roger rabbit mention hopefully means that’s coming soon. Oh Man U need to watch dark crystal and Neverending story.
The baby Toby Froud is actually the son of Brian Froud the conceptual designer for this and The Dark Crystal, his mother helped make Yoda for the original trilogy and has been called 'The mother of Yoda" even helped with the puppeteering a little. Plus Toby now works for the Jim Henson Company in a few ways doing puppetry or involved in creative processes. I really hope you guys watch The Dark Crystal and even eventually watch the prequel series on Netflix, the original movie is my favorite fantasy movie of all time! And really paved the way for my love of worldbuilding within a fantasy story sense in all it's physical aspects(LOTR helped with most of the rest)
I read somewhere that because Toby was around puppets from birth pretty much, he wasn’t at all afraid of them in this film. Supposedly he laughed and played with them so much, the only way to get him to cry for scenes was to delay his nap time until he got fussy.
I haven't seen this movie in so long!! <3
i've been waiting about a year for this movie to to sorta stupid
great 80s disney horror movie : The Watcher in the Woods.
Fun fact! The part in the beginning when David Bowie is playing with the Fushigi, the arms are NOT Bowie's, they're attached to a completely seperate person! It was Michael Moschen, a professional Contact Juggler and Illusionist! He had to do multiple takes completely blind!
During the fire gang part my family and I always thought they said bonk heads and not fire gang so we caught them the bonk heads
I LOVE this movie! I am so happy yall are watching this
I think I crapped myself when I saw this, totally unexpected and I love y'all for that
Ah childhood…
You haven't seen Dark Crystal? Add it to the watchlist.
now we just need the Pan's Labyrinth reaction and they've watched the whole series!
Pans labyrinth has nothing to do with this movie
I don't think that movies is the same series as this😂
