the conversation about why we dont have a genetic dinosaur island, and then the comment about having no laws on an island got me thinking... Maybe there is.
Everyone wants one of the huge dinosaurs until you gotta figure out how to deal with their massive shits. I'll take a bunch of those tiny assholes from the second JP film.
I think the worst part of this movie was the romance plot, it came out of no where and was totally not needed in the film. Just my personal take.
I have only one problem with this movie but its a biggie, why did John Hammond want to build the park again? Last we saw he wanted the ecosystem to remain undisturbed.
is it just me or does this site not work a lot
Fun fact Katie McGrath actually told the director she wanted her character to die in the most brutal way AND she wanted to do her own stunts too.
The guy running off with the margarita was jimmy buffet
i feel like you guys should also watch the netflix jurassic world camp cretaceous and chaos theory in between the other 2 jurassic world movies, since they take place during the movies, and are pretty good
"Dinosaurs with miniguns on them" That would be Dino D-Day Sir and its on Steam.
The little T-Rex with wings is a Dimorphodon. It's a real animal. Second best Jurassic movie
ngl ruff thinking the mom was several other actresses was killing me
i watched this after their ant man reaction and it was killing me that she coincidentally, is divorced from paul rudd in that film
They did a great job with this movie in alot of ways. One thing that JUST occurred to me as well is that if the Indominus didn't have raptor DNA in it which let it take over the pack of the other 4 raptors, it's HIGHLY likely that Hoskin would have been proven RIGHT about the raptors being able to take commands and be used for military operations. Realistically, the only reason that whole plan failed was because the Indominus had that raptor DNA in it to leverage.
I like this movie. It's about as pure blockbuster as a blockbuster gets. A bit overly pandering to the first movie, somewhat mean-spirited, and the writing is pretty meh, but the setpieces and just sheer spectacle of this movie goes hard.
There's always a kinda funny aspect to seeing Judy Greer in stuff for me.
Only time I've seen her in live action is as someone's kindhearted mom.
Only time I've heard her as a VA is as Carol/Cheryl Tunt in Archer, possibly the least motherly woman ever put on screen.
"O SHIT STEVE!?"
Blue and Rexy are the best girls of this trilogy, especially since Rexy is pretty much just a grumpy old lady lol
Blue and Rexy and the sea dino beating up indomitable rex
Bree has great comedic timing i swear lol
I HIGHLY recommend Camp Cretaceous!
Shit I forgot the main kid has my name! lol
I admit I laughed at Bree's "In heel's girl." considering this is the movie where she runs in them
That Marlin 45-70 is the only model in the world rated for up to Tyrannosaurus Rex...true story lol obviously because it was featured in this movie. However, a large load 45-70 round to that things head could absolutely kill it, if the first shot didn't, the second one definitely would end it. That round is spectacularly strong...and large.
I agree w Boom BDH is awesome and I like her character's development throughout this JW trilogy.
Here to add my agreement that they should watch camp Cretaceous!!
I do like how they worked around the fact that how we think many dinosaurs have looked has changed drastically with the whole “we’ve always filled in the gaps, if they where pure they would be quite different” logic. Cause they right. Tiny feathered chicken ain’t as scary as the Jurassic park raptors 😂
it was like that in the old movies too, i heard the book was even more explicit in saying they weren't dinosaurs. Dr. Grant even said so in the third movie that none of the creatures on the island were real dinosaurs
would be great if you watched new girl, such an amazing show!
You guys should react to Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory, Great series that goes on during these movies.
I think the person who played the sitter for the kids asked someone to make her characters death more brutal.
There's a bts footage of her death scene somewhere on YT, it's pretty cool
She also asked to be allowed to do her own stunt work for her gruesome death
Oh yeah. She wanted to go out as gruesome as possible 😂 which, good for her
its the boy from iron man 3
really hope they watch the jurassic world camp cretaceous series on netflix after this, its canon and allot happens around the timeframes of the movies.
omg yessss i've been saying this since they started the Jurassic series
Am here to add my agreement to this post, it is a great series!
Hell Yeah the ultimate girl boss Rexy! She's the best. Ruff needs to put more respect on her. Blue and Rexy team up is awesome
That’s the kid from iron man 3
“John Hammond entrusted me with his dying wish.” Wait so does this mean that after everything that happened in those first three movies, Hammond still wanted this park built and said so on his deathbed?!
I think you guys should watch Camp Cretaceous it’s part of the Jurassic World Series but from a different perspective. It’s a really good show.
Here's some fun facts for this movie!!
The T-Rex in this movie is known as Rexy, is the OG T-Rex from the first movie! That's why she has all those older scars, they are from the fight with the Velociraptors at the end of it.
The "flying dinosaurs with t-rex heads" are actually Dimorphodon, a real dinosaur that used to live in what is now southern England during the Jurassic period! In the movie it is given a larger wingspan, as well as better use of its legs. In real life, it is speculated that it only flew in short bursts.
The full list, as far as we know, of species that make up the Indominus are as follows: T-Rex, Velociraptor, Carnotaurus, Giganotosaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops, Pycnonemosaurus, Quilmesaurus, Viavenator, Therizinosaurus (for the claws specifically), Deinosuchus (for the teeth/mouth, it's a prehistoric crocodile), cuttlefish, tree frog, and pit viper. It is also highly theorized that there is human dna as well, considering another Hybrid from the animated spin off Camp Cretaceous (it takes place alongside this movie, i recommend it).
Ppl hate on the Jurassic World movies for so much but its soooo fun and interesting seeing them address that the dinosaurs from these movies (and the three before it) are so different from their real life counterparts. Velociraptor is the best example of this. The real life Velociraptor is roughly the size of a chicken, and was relatively cute. In the book for Jurassic Park, they are actually Deinonychus, which are a larger species of Raptor. They just changed the name to Velociraptor because it was more "well known" at the time.
Excited to watch the other 2 after work tonight!!! also cant wait for the new movie this july 💖
If I can add a little correction. Dimorphodon are Pterosaur, so technically not dinosaurs.
not as good as the original trilogy. but still very entertaining
Even though the JW trilogy is considered bad I still love them.
Awesome that they brought back BD Wong from the 1st movie
