So glad you guys are watching the Marvel Universe movies. XD I didn't like Iron Man 1 the first time I watched it, due to it being released at a bad time and it feeling too anti-Arab, but rewatching it years later, I had enjoyed it way more. Still, my favorites of the series is the Thor movies, Avengers, and the first Captain America movie. Sadly, they did drop the ball with certain plot points later on, especially regarding Loki, and I wish Thor 3 was less comedic at times with the brothers and kept true to Loki's "I never wanted the throne" character.

I can’t hear the movie 😢. The only thing from it I could hear were explosions and bone cracking.
So the whole Burger King thing (including the fact that it was Burger King that got the promotional material for the movie and NOT McDonald's) occured because it was a key part of Robert Downey Jr.'s sobriety. Apparently, he had gone to a Burger King while in his drugged out phase, and realized he was at his rock bottom when the drugs had distorted his taste to the point that he couldn't even enjoy a burger.
Lol. If there is one thing you can count on from this crew.....its to talk over the movie and miss important lines. I love it.

was wondering if y'all are gonna be watching marvel movies regularly, will they be put into one folder maybe under the heading like marvel or something or will they only be under the movies category? I noticed how frustrating it is if i want to see if y'all have reacted to a certain Disney movie I either have to search it or scroll through the backlog when maybe they could all be put into a Disney folder? Love that you guys are finally starting Marvel stuff but it was REALLY quiet and y'all were talking almost non-stop. Kinda took away from a bunch of it tbh. Much prefer when you guys do the pause if you're gonna have a long chat about something but either way looking forward to the rest of these movies for sure.

I'm not surprised at your reaction to the "Piracy is not a victimless crime" statement at the end, considering that this whole sight revolves around piracy lol. Personally, I definitely agree that tit isn't victimless, and sometimes it can actually be pretty terrible. Of course, for a lot of these instances, the primary victims are ultra rich people who don't necessarily need the protection and aren't very tangibly hurt by piracy. But it's definitely not nearly as victimless as people want to believe. I still choose to give you guys a bit of a pass because I choose to only watch things with you that I already have access to or have seen in the past, and even if I disagree when you decide to pirate stuff, particularly when you can afford to actually legitimately pay for it, at the end of the day it's a pretty minor ethical disagreement. Like, I may dislike piracy and find it often unethical, but it's minor enough on the case by case basis that I'm not gonna hold it against someone's character.

Hey guys, wondering if you could fix the site a bit? Watching on my phone and every now and then, I tap the screen to pause and the whole screen refreshes, causing the video to start over, VERY frustrating. The mobile site in general just has a lot of bugs, especially with muktitasking. If my alarm goes off while watching, it often just breaks the video and I have to close the site and reopen it. Or, if using picture in picture, the video will go black and won't come back until I reopen the site.
Love your content, but man... trying to binge shows has become a chore with this shit constantly happening.
Just wanted to put it out there and hope that something improves.

Initially in lore at the time of the movie, the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division was a "newly public" government organization, and thus an acronym "hadn't been decided upon." The Truth is that SHIELD did exist for decades in secrecy but had recently been "exposed" ie brought into the public light right around the time of the Ironman scenario, thus forcing them to pretend to be new and seemingly dumb not knowing how to name themselves.

So to expand on the Terrance Howard thing, insane as he is now, his argument at the time was pretty fair. The only reason he got replaced was because Earl Perlmutter was an insane racist who thought no one would be able to tell Don Cheadle and Howard apart, and who almost drove Kevin Feige to quit because he kept vetoing movies like Captain Marvel and Black Panther.

Honestly it's quite cool that you can enter this franchise with either Iron Man, Cap America, Thor or Hulk.
I watched this movie like 4 times in the theater. Also in about 3 years this movie along with the entire mcu will be turning 20... God we're old.

Normally I feel like this is a pointless thing to hope for, but for them, honestly it's a toss-up. They've shown a much greater propensity for going down the cinematic universe rabbit hole than pretty much any other reaction channel I've seen.

Im super excited for this! I joined for the LotR but stayed for so much more. You guys are just really enjoyable to watch. As a nerd for the MCU, The Hulk is still important. It still adds some context to characters later and is a great show of Edward Norton before his replacement with Mark Ruffalo. Awesome that a lot of you are going in blind, or the usual with haven't seen it since basically when it came out. This is definitely one of the best MCU movies and just comic book based movies period. While it did set the tropes and the style early for a lot of what the MCU will get shit for, it gets a pass for still being unique in that sense. this will be an awesome ride.

guys, i don't really know a lot about MCU, but itsnt the official order is like The First avenger, captain marvel, and then Iron man? correct me if I’m wrong. Like, I’m not being a dick, but if you watch a whole cinematic universe and you have a huge audience, shouldn't you like try to watch it in correct chronology?

They are watching in release order. First Avenger and Captain Marvel were made after this and incorporated lore to work within the universe timeline.
technically iron man is first, Captain marvel does take place before it chronologically, but Iron man came out first. and they would spoil themselves on a lot of the reveals of what actors play what characters

Yeah, it's basically "what the movies where there was an actual plan" and then what follows just didn't. Marvel really should have taken a few year hiatus cuz they were cranking them out like crazy. Spend some time to reorientate themselves and find the new direction and plan the next few phases to another build up. Those movie producers were just addicted to the amount of cocaine they could buy with movies that consistently made 1 billion+ dollars.

So, about the burger king promo, it was in the movie because of a real experience RDJ went through. Long story short, back when RDJ was doing "the drugs", he was sat in a Burger King and realised, because of "the drugs" messing with his senses, he couldn't even enjoy the taste of a cheap fast food burger. Finally realising that he'd truly hit rock bottom, he took the rest of his "the drugs" and buried them somewhere before signing up for the rehab stay that kept him clean for good. RDJ is also one of only like five people who was given a special rewards card that gives him free unlimited Burger King for the rest of his life.
