lil electric fence fun fact from the book: Katniss learned from her dad to listen for the electricity crackling to see if the fence is actually turned on. They keep it off most of the time to save energy and people still avoid it like it's on bc most don't know to check for the crackling of electricity.
Longest is 5 I suppose
billies, have you seen Battle Royale (2000)?It's a Japanese movie who a lot of people feel that the author of Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins) got inspiration from, although she denies it. You should check it out!
additional note, Chiaki Kuriyama was in Battle Royale. She plays Gogo Yubari in Kill Bill. BR influenced Quentin Tarantino for that movie - give her some homage, eh?
(and if you haven't watched Kill Bill, watch it!!!!!!! ty Billies)
Longest Essay i had to right in college was 17 pages. Shortest i think was about 5 pages.
Something i just thought of for Haymitch, is if you survive you become a mentor. If we assume he was 18 when he won, and he is in his late 20s lets say 28. For 9 years he has been training tributes only to see them die. That might play a bigger role on his uncaring personality at the start.
In the book Haymitch won the 50th Hunger Games when he was sixteen, and the games in this movie are the 74th, which should put him at roughly 40 here.
He won the 50th Games, and they're into 74 here. He's been at it for 20+ years.
