This movie was really good in 3D in the theater. The tunnel effect especially.
gosh I LOVED this movie as a kid, I used to watch it over and over in early elementary school. Every sleepover or gathering I went to I wanted to watch this movie. Yet my family are still surprised I actually enjoy horror media. Hard not to when this movie was your childhood obsession.
Real bummer that Neil Gaiman turned out to be a shitbag :/
The Other Father song is sung and performed by John Linnell of They Might Be Giants, one of my two favorite bands of all fuckin time.
Fun Fact about the book! The only reason it was published was because of Neil Gaiman’s daughter. His editor was convinced it was way too scary for kids and was planning to scrap it, but Neil made a deal that if his daughter didn’t think it was too scary then they would go forward and publish it as is. His wife read part of it to her as a bedtime story, she said it wasn’t too scary, and then it was published. He asked her years later what she thought of the book again and she said she was terrified of the book, had nightmares about it and everything, but she lied because she wanted to know what happened next. Her lying is the reason we have this movie at all!
Coralline isn’t actually a Tim Burton movie, it was directed by Henry Selick, animated by Laika, and is adapted from a children’s book written by Niel Gaiman
The book of life ?
Love this movie! The book is somehow scarier though, it's great! It's got some very Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark type illustrations! ^_^
Fun fact the 2 lady neighbors an confirmed lesbian lovers.
