Yep this is still one of the best marvel films 😎. It has thrilling action, rich commentary, and tells a story that greatly uses it's paragon main character 😎.

Your favorite thing about cap is the thing that's true for almost all marvel heroes, this isn't dc they usually have no issues with killing people

With any Marvel movie, 99% of people in theaters stay until the very end, every single time. It's because it's Marvel. And the only movie with 5 scenes is GOTG2, but it's not like the normal ones. There's a midcredit scene and a post credit scene, and the others are interspersed, with the scenes playing while the credits flow. Not all the scenes are significant either, some are just meant to be funny. But in most MCU movies, there are 2, a mid credits and a post credits.

yo guys. real talk. the reason post credit scenes exist is so the hundreds of people who worked on these movies might get seen for their hard work.  A lot of people in the industry have explained this but i think Dan Povenmire (the creator of phineas and ferb) put it best when he said that they exist so  when their name finally goes across that screen the theater is not devoid of human life and some one might acknowledge the hard work they spent years on to bring the rest of us entertainment. It's literally for the sake of the underpaid little guy who don't receive acknowledgment anywhere else.

Except that's a pretty bad reason. I challenge you to name one person who has ever actually read names in the credits (other than main cast or actors they're familiar with), and 1. cared about it, and 2. actually understood who that person actually was. Your name in the credits is pretty useless to people who don't already know who you are. Even if they read your name, they'll forget in a matter of minutes. The people who would actually notice your name and care, would probably already know that you worked on it, and would wait for your name anyway regardless of if there are post credit scenes.

So here's the funny thing about the movies: you know to leave the theater because the light come on. And guess when the lights come on? When the credits end end the movie is over. So there is never an issue of missing the scenes.

I'm not gonna lie, even though I know I'm in the minority, I do actually wait for end credits in movies, in part because I like just absorbing the amount of people who worked on a movie. even in ones where it doesn't make sense or when i'm rewatching it; for example, I rewatched the Inside Out thrice in theaters and I watched the credits every single time, another one is when I watched The Wild Robot at home, I still watched through the credits. Insane, but I enjoy it :p

I often do it if I'm watching a movie at the theater, but otherwise I usually don't. For me it's not about the amount of people who worked on it, though, since that feels pretty much the same for every movie. I just like to do it for the experience, and I also just enjoy taking things slowly and being one of the last people staying somewhere. It's an especially cool experience when you and your family are literally the last people in the theater room. And you can also do shenanigans like hand puppets over the projector lol, though I haven't done/seen that since I was a kid.

You didn't have youtube watching for end credits. And if you did it, you were hated by your friends for trying to "solve the problem" by looking if there was an end. Just enjoy the movie and it's styles all the way to the end.

Fun fact, black widow is actually around captain america's age in the comics and was trained by the winter soldier. Her and Bucky are even a couple, and a pretty good one at that.

Fun Fact: In the comics, Bucky was Cap's sidekick instead of his best friend. It's because of that, lots of fans consider him the Marvel version of Jason Todd. The Robin who became Red Hood.

Finally! It feels like it's taken forever to get to this, lol. But serious, this is my favorite standalone MCU film, Guardians, Thor Ragnarok and Civil War are right up there though. Not only is this an awesome superhero movie but a great espionage film. I feel like we don't get these kinds of movies anymore, this felt like something that Arnold or Bruce Willis would have made if it was in the 90's. The fighting choreography in this is top notch, the elevator fight is epic. And what's great about that one is you know that is all Chris Evans, there's really fun behind the scenes clips of him practicing it. I love we really get to see Fury kick ass, we see it a little bit in Avengers but he does way more in this one. So, the first suit Cap wears is called the stealth suit and it's one of my favorites. The first Avenger's one is pretty weak compared to the others but remember, Coulson who was a Captain America fanboy designed it that way, so it actually makes sense it would look more traditional. I love that they named dropped Dr. Strange, it shows that Hydra already saw him as a future threat, and it 's really creepy how they were pointing at some random guy on a baseball field. What did he do?? I also thought it was cool seeing the payoff to other characters, like the guy that was in Iron Man 2, I can't remember his name. But, it makes so much sense now why he was so determined to get Tony's suit and he never really played a significant role but we did see Sitwell quite a few times in previous films, like Avengers and Thor. Everything about this one is just so good, from the acting, the characters, the drama and of course the action.

Sorry, but you're 100% wrong about the end credits scenes - everyone stays through the whole credits because they know there are important scenes they don't want to miss.  In other words, it absolutely works to get people to stay through the credits.

Slight suggestions that I should've made before this movie: you guys should watch the blooper reel for each MCU movie after you watch it! The blooper reel for this movie is such gold lol I sometimes forget the bubbly goof Chris Evans is cuz he acts that well lol

Yes!! I was going to recommend the same thing. They are so funny, it gives more of a charm to the MCU and it honestly makes you love these movies and actors even more. Chris Evans is really funny, he doesn't get to really portray it as Cap because that's just not the character, but he's hilarious. Just check out the interviews he did with Chris Hemsworth when they were promoting AOU, they were literally acting like children, they just couldn't stop joking or laughing, it was great! They even got banned from doing any more interviews together because they could never stay focused. Luckily he's been really funny in other films like The Losers, which I also think they should check out. It's also a comic book movie. Even though they weren't received well, I thought he was perfect as Johnny Storm, again very funny and completely different from Cap.

I remember at the time all the Marvel comic fans who were being jerks spoiling who The Winter Soldier is on the Internet to people when advertising and marketing the movie of  "who is The Winter Soldier?" 😂😂😂. They even tried to hide that the actor was in an unknown role but we all knew who he was if you were a long time fan.

Agreed, at least from Avengers onward. Early in phase one more people left because not everyone knew it was a thing.

  43. Anza

I love the movies and tv shows, but I do agree, starting at phase 4 it starts getting dicey when trying to watch them in a cohesive manner, because you do have the tv shows to start incorporating in, but not all of them at least. Like Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night, Hawkeye (Sorta? any point after Endgame is fine and the only thing it currently ties into is the Echo tv series which also does not tie into the movies as far as I remember at this point), and probably one or two others, are pretty much standaloneish and can be watched without needing backstory info/lore from previous films, But like, for instance, after Endgame, but before Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, WandaVision needs to be watched or one of the main plot points wont make sense, and Loki S1 would be after Engame, but Loki S2 is after Antman and the Wasp Quantumania, WandaVision and Ms. Marvel would be needed for the Marvels for two of the characters, Falcon tv series for the 4th captain america movie. stuff like that. yadda yadda, I'm sure there is a list out there detailing how to watch in what order the movies plus films for the phase 4 Multiverse Saga.

I completely understand how that can be overbearing for more casual watchers when you start throwing in tv series into the mix as well. But hey, they are at least, for most of the series, good though lol.
