John Krasinski and Ryan Phillippe were also considered for the role, and Emily Blunt was up for the part of Peggy Carter, but couldn't play the role due to scheduling conflicts. (She also was considered for Black Widow in Iron Man 2)

After rewatching this even tho it is still my least favorite Cap. America movie I found new respect for this movie and enjoyed it way more now than I did back then.
Can I just say the audio on this and avengers was perfect! I can hear the crew perfectly and the movie was loud enough where I didn't have to rely on the subtitles. I'm sure I'm not the only one that appreciates it🫶🏾
I was in the Navy for a couple years in Electronics and for my job specifically there was recruitment to transfer to the Space Force, I don't know if you can apply for it though. Just at the time I was in, they wanted radar/nav and communications electronics experts with experience already. Same for other relevant jobs and branches. But it's a department of the Air-Force the way Marines are a department of the Navy

I totally have to laugh at Ruffs comment about the military because it's so accurate. As an enlisted US Army soldier myself it is so true that there is tons of incompetent not very smart people that join the Army. As far as why only the Navy would take you about a decade ago that's just because nothing has changed and the Navy pretty much takes anybody and everybody in the last couple years the Navy lowered their base ASVAB score minimum even lower than it already was.
