with how minimal Renesmee's role was through her growing scenes, I'm almost positive that it would have been cheaper and less time-consuming to just hire different actors for each moment for a much better end product

I missed 99% of the stream on the day y'all recorded this, showed up during this movie for a few seconds to emote-only chat and silence in the group, then saw twitch mod applications go up the next day. I just started this video, but yall I'm so sorry chat fell apart on this one. I'm scared to see what might have been spoiled 😭

Welcome to, "The series of absolutely no consequences, just how preteen girls view their ideal world"....... I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO fucking pissed off when I sat through this entire fucking cringe fest and FINALLY at the end had some real stakes and in world resolution, just for the "psych!" Absolutely ruined any and all redeeming qualities of the series. Pathetic.

Alice can only see a future after the decision that leads to it is made and only if she knows that person and watching the decisions that they make. That is how they got around her powers in the 3rd movie- by having someone she isn’t watching make the decisions.
Alice also cannot see a future created by a decision a werewolf or a half-vampire makes. In the books it said that she found the half-vampire by following the path she couldn’t see. Basically, she would pick a direction with the intention to go down it to activate her visions. If she could see where it leads, she pick a different direction until she couldn’t see where it goes. She couldn’t know for certain that there was a half-vampire at the end of her path or that he’d be willing to come with her. That is why she had to have contingencies.

To start from watching these films in the movies to now watching them again with you guys was a fun, wild ride. Heh. It gave me a whole new perspective on what I watched as a young teenager.

Watching these movies with you all has been awesome. Laughed so hard, I really need to join the twitch channel so that I don't miss stuff like this in the future. But also getting to watch these on Mondays was so needed for me.

I watched this in theaters too and like Bree, I can't forget the energy in that room during the fight scene. I kept whispering to myself the whole time "this wasn't in the books, this wasn't in the books, what is happening". Honestly I kinda wanna see what would have happened following the fight had they won like that but also-- I can't stand having our people die, it would have broken me.
-
Also, Eric-- the movie does not say it out right, but alludes to it in part 1, that Alice can't see anything she herself has not been. Like a wolf shifter or a half human-half vampire. I wish it just came out and said it because it really wouldn't have taken more than half a minute.

I remember the moment Aro pulled off Carlisle's head when I was in the theater and I yelled out "What the F**K?" Everyone in my showing was gasping and yelling and swearing constantly. It was a hell of a scene.

Oh I feel that. I was 9, and had my mum and aunt on either side of me, who had read the books (but obviously that doesn't happen in the books). So the second his head came off, I got a hand from either side of me coming to cover my eyes, cus they had no idea who else was gonna die, and how I'd react XD

The way I had no idea what was going on during the fight scene since I had read the books. I was looking all over the theater over how shook I was. Also started crying a bit at Seths death. 12 year old me was not happy about by fav characters outcome.

“At least there was a fight. Can you imagine if she just touched him and there was no fight and he was just like ‘ah all right’?” I haven’t read the books but I’ve heard that that is pretty much how it plays out in the book.

Fun fact: if I remember right, something in the book they didn’t mention in the movie. Jacob and pals aren’t Real werewolves. Just shapeshifters that happen to be wolves. Werewolves got hunted down by volturi cause they were scared of them. They were supposedly very aggressive and nasty. Basically, classic werewolf.
Glad you all had a good time! And hope you slept well after lol

Came to the comics to say the same thing lol, in the books they point out that werewolves are a European monster and that the Native American's had their own shifters, these just happened to be wolves. One of my favorite books series uses a similar folk tale with the main character turning into a coyote.

I don't remember too much since it's been about a decade since I've read the book, but I believe that Alice saw Nahuel (the 150 yo half vampire) in one of her multiple visions. She didn't know who he was, or where he could be but she went to search for him, knowing that he at least existed in the world. She was grasping at straws and could've been too late.
The CGI in this movie is horrible. I didn't remember it being so bad! lmao BUT, I will say, I will take that over the animatronic baby doll they had at first. Absolutely horrifying! They called her Chuckesmee lol
