   I had to retake my high school physics class because I failed it the first year. The teacher called me out about it in front of the whole class, because I'd get 90s on my tests, but I never did my homework. Granted that was more than just one assignment, but still, I don't think so much of your grade should depend on *home* work, when you're spending 8 hours a day 5 days a week at school. I did however have kind've a bad home life. It was awesome for me as a kid though, because my home life was just getting drunk every weekend and sometimes during the week. And I consumed a lot of...oxygen

   The Amanda Show was still going on around this time 🤔.

   Nevertheless, I remember seeing the previews and tv spots for this film and renting it or watching it in passing on tv from time to time.

   It is a lot of fun, and it's kind of neat that all the main character wants is the credit not any profit or anything. This film is basically a less ridiculous version of Good Burger (which is also fun but a lot more goofy).

   Say want you want about Dan Schneider, but he knew how to make entertainment for kids, although him having a director like Shawn Levy and the creators of All That (Brian Robinson and Mike Tollin) also contributed here 🤔.

   Lastly and this is a small thing, but this film is a bit guilty of doing the "like goes with like trope" or "token minority couple trope". Every black male in this that has a woman is paired off with a black female. Now that's probably not intentional or it's just something Dan Schneider and his crew don't notice, but his shows have done this before. It wouldn't have hurt to mix things up a bit. Though I can see people praising the fact that the film doesn't have a usually romance between the main leads 🤔.

   As someone who's never seen this movie and is only about twenty minutes in and has just seen the first short scene with Rudy in it, the fact that Rudy took the time to properly greet his girlfriend's little brother and dap him up instead of just being super dismissive and ignoring him or being a bit of a bully was kind of a green flag. It could mean nothing and I'm ready to eat my words in the next hour, but it's at least one sign pointing towards him not being a total asshole, even if he is super cringe.

    I did the collective 'oh no' with you at Schneider's name, I had no idea he was part of this movie. But 'Big Fat Liar' never fails to make me laugh. I really enjoyed watching it with you!

    I loved Amanda and Frankie in any movies they were in together when I was younger. I don't remember Agent Cody Banks all that well but I do remember that I enjoyed it though.

    I would so love to watch 'What a Girl Wants' with you all.

    Like Bree, the only context of this movie that I've seen is the Hungry Like The Wolf scene but it's crazy how much Paul Giamatti elevates this movie. Just fully committing to being the reprehensibly disgusting, offensive, and self-serving baddie possible. Like it's absurd how awful Wolf is as a person and Giamatti sells it perfectly. Just the perfect actor to play such a vile, over-the-top, yet insanely funny villain.

    Agree with Boom but it wasn’t just people I won’t say his name but he screwed her over not just her but many others as well especially the people he had employed on his shows. But yes I definitely 1000% agree with Boom everything did to her they should definitely go to hell for it.

    In my junior year of high school I had an english class that I just hated all the work they had us do so I just never did any of the assignments. I paid attention in class and did all the readings, I just never did the assignments because I thought they were complete bs. Going into the final I had a grade so bad that even with a 100% on the final I was going to fail. My teacher came over to me and told me if I get an A on the final she'd pass me in the class. I did exactly that and ended up with the minimum possible grade to pass the class.

    if you ever go to Universal Studios Hollywood you can ride the tram which is a studio tour and it will take you through the whole back lot of the chase scene

    This movie was my first introduction as a child to a LOT of these actors that I forgot were in this movie. I'm basically watching this going "THAT'S why Harold looked so familiar the first time I saw that movie!"
