What do you mean was that Stan Lee? It was clearly him just wit a wig
and this is where i stopped watching the mcu
The avengers most definitely told the public what happened guys lol. That would be a massive dick move if they didn't.
Also maybe stop pausing to have a discussion over something there gonna speak on in the next 10 seconds.
Entitled much? Maybe instead of being a dick, don't pay for something you simply don't find enjoyable instead of trying to dictate something you are not entitled to. Otherwise, sit down and shut up.
Ketchup on hotdog is trash
The one gripe i have with captain marvels excuse for not being there for thanos is that thanos was threatening the universe and she should have known about him after he destroyed xandar and knowhere.
If there is one gripe I have in this movie it's treating Thor's depression as super slapstick comedy, it's still quite distasteful to me ngl. Like they could've used some slapstick comedy around him for levity, sure, but they dont exercise moderation. MCU/Disney (and Star Wars by extension) is so prone to leaning too hard on one thing that worked a couple of times until it's all they do and then wonder why fans have "fatigue".
Leave it to the crew to talk over the most emotional parts of a movie lol
what parts are you talking about lol they barely talked after the iron man scene
Boom, no!!! Don't fall into the term that Cinema Sins constantly misuses! Deus ex machina is random, unexplained and not set up prior. What it actually was is chekhov's gun.
Someone once explained it as follows: "If the good guys are chasing the bad guys, and the bad guys somehow have a random ass train fall onto their getaway car, then that is an example of deus ex machina". The fact that Captain Marvel was set up prior as being an incredibly strong and overpowered character dispels her from being a deus ex machina.
During the funeral scene, the blonde guy standing by himself between Bucky and Hill was Harley Keener (the boy from Iron Man 3)
If anyone sees this and knows how to suggest stuff, I absolutely hope they watch "Endgame: The Full Multiverse War" on YouTube.
They're currently not accepting any new suggestions. They even took down the Reddit where people could suggest stuff because people clogged it with too many different or repetitive things.
It's a great idea to watch the Spider-man and x-men movies while watching the Marvel series. Please just don't watch the what if series, those are a waste of time for the story of the MCU. Maybe it'll be fun if you all still want more Marvel at the end of the road, you can still do it though.
The end credit is iron man making hi first suit in the cave
As great as this movie was, this was one of the first movies to have some sort of polorizing humor. Fat Thor was supposed to be representing depression but a felt it was a slap for comedy.
As with many dark subjects, it can be both
One of the best movies of 2019 with the best Marvel moments and more since "The Avengers."
this is also where captain marvel gets hate if she can so easy kill thanos why hasnt she done it before. guardians of the galaxy showed that thanos was a threat and ronan. and in marvels movie showed up. captain marvel was a terrible character to introduce so late that they had to change the narrative around her stupid character
Don't understand calling her character stupid. If she didn't kill Thanos before, its because she never met him and didn't know he existed (Just like every other character outside GotG). And the Guardians only knew about him because of Gamora. This unwarranted hatred for her character is what's stupid.
Yeah that doesn't make any sense, everyone knew who ronan was and who thanos is and how dangerous both of them are.
the whole thing about them losing together is tony would have still went to space by himself that line was stupid
the metal clanging at the end is tony making the first iron man suit while he is held captive in the first iron man movie
Hopefully when they get to Spider-Man No Way Home, they first watch the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-man movies! I would assume they would know that 🤞
That's the plan, Billy.
Thanos' face in the thumbnail is so good lol
my body is ready
Mantis also felt the blip coming before everyone else, because of her empathy abilities
During the intervention seen the guy talking was the Director of the movie
*One of the directors
I agree, mustard is trash
Random, but someone made an edit of Shrek 2's cover of "I Need a Hero" over the climax scene, and legit kind of wish it was in the actual movie lmao
There's a deleted scene where everyone takes a knee after tony dies out of respect for his sacrifice.
Yeah, it's a nice scene and I'm glad it's there but I thought it was quite cheesy and just a little too much, it would have also broken the flow for the funeral. And also, people were already upset that Natasha didn't get a funeral, just think of she didn't get a kneel too.
Gosh I love this movie! This was such a spectacle in theaters. Also I’m excited for the TV shows to make an appearance especially Wandavision. I know you probably won’t because you’re past it timeline wise now but I love it if you could watch Agent Carter, there’s only two short seasons and it fills in the gap with Peggy and Howard Stark after the first Cap movie
I can not watch the last 10-15 minutes of this movie witout crying my eyes out.
46:30 i mean he cured ageing
If Squirrel Girl was in the Avengers trilogy they would have won in 10 minutes. She solos Thanos in the comics.
Yeah, but then we wouldn't have his epic movie.
Just as a heads up when you do Loki, only do season 1 first and then season 2 should be AFTER Ant-Man: Quantunmania, because its that is when its set.
I super don't like the Captain America end because Steve's whole story is about moving forward and instead he just WENT back. And if anyone thinks he'd be able to stay quiet during disasters as well as not tell his wife, one of the FOUNDING MEMBERS OF SHIELD WHO BECOMES THE DIRECTOR, that Hydra is in SHIELD? It goes against his character. There are other ways they could have passed the torch to Sam.
So I love that we get Sam with the shield but not how we got there.
Im sure he was in a diff timeline then jumped back to see them
In Infinity War when Thor stabs Thanos in the chest with Stormbringer, he said "you should've gone for the head" before doing the snap. In this Thor said bet.
If you didn't already figure this out, that teen boy standing by himself at the funeral was the kid from iron man 3
the metal sound at the end was a callback to iron man forging mark 1 armor in the cave
i love how sam comforted bucky at the funeral probably gave him bad memories from howard
I love Marvel's ability to tie things together! When Tony talks with his father he says he hopes his child is a girl cause there'd be less of a chance she turns out like him because to Howard, "the greater good has rarely outweighed my own self interest". In the end Tony displays the opposite of his father and sacrifices himself for the greater good
27:13 Paul Rudd already doesn’t age
This movie was an EVENT, saw it opening night with a group of friends and it was such a fun time. I will say, me and a lot of people I know lost track of the MCU after this just because of superhero fatigue; I just got really worn out from this genre. I only really stuck around for GOTG 3 because I love those movies as their own thing. I think Disney/Marvel's push for quantity really killed a lot of people's interest. Even if the product is good, people just get kinda tired of seeing the same type of film over and over again, earlier marvel/disney felt more special because of the wait time imo. Excited to do a first watch of post-endgame marvel with y'all!
There's not a canon reason why Captain Marvel cut her hair, but there's a theory running around that is in honour of her friend which you'll find out in WandaVision
Please do not say shang chi was an amazing movie 🤣 it's overwhelming seen as one of the beginnings of the worst marvel movies, it's mediocre at best lol.
It was amazing. You're on crack.
You are the first person I've seen be negative about it
Wrong on both counts
foh that shit was dope.
Great reaction! I’m excited for the Spider-Man reactions. I’m hopeful the Venom films are included at least the first two before the third Tom Holland one. Also be cool to check out the Netflix Daredevil show at some point as well. There’s a lot to go through but I know these guys will do it. :)
Daredevil and the Punisher are what i am SO excited for now
"Mexican for lunch"... Damn Ruff, that scene is an offense to real Mexican food xD
The MAIN reason why the MCU took a hard dive after phase 3 it’s because of the heavily increased wokeness running rampant through Disney.
one day i hope i can achieve your level of mental illness
That's not why, that's just a reason for whiners.
Define woke.
Bro, this is so dumb it's giving me second-hand embarrassment
Wrong
get a load of this guy
Brother you using the term "woke" as an insult just invalidated your entire opinion here. The boys never give a flying fuck about that stuff. They were huge fans of owl house when it was releasing.
Tell me you don't understand superheroes without telling me you don't understand superheroes
I hope this is just a bit and you're not actually this much of an idiot
The 100 mentioned! gotta watch
Now this is when you can start paying attention to the Disney Plus shows start from Wandavision and make your way toward ironheart. I'm guessing you guys probably have Disney plus just go to the Marvel section and watch it in Timeline order
No, Far From Home is first.
Something glossed over is the fact that Steve just fully erased Peggy Carter's original family. Her children in the original timeline now just never existed...
I was always under the impression that Steve was her husband that was mentioned in Winter soldier, and the kids were their kids. Were never given a name for her husband after all, and she easily could have set him up with a new identity. I personally wonder if he saw some proof on her desk in 1970 that showed him that.
Didn't you listen to Hulk and the ancient one? You're not changing anything about the main time line when they go to the past. They go to branches of this timeline
I thought the implication was that it was him the entire time.
He created an alternate timeline when he went back so there's a reality where Steve and Peggy are together and in the main timeline Peggy still went on to form her own family and steve stayed in the ice
Not true clearly he went back far enough to where Peggy never had a family of her own
Its not a single timeline, its branchinIg paths. Both timeliness exist at once, that's what the ancient one was saying to hulk
The boy towards the end when the camera pans in the back of starts funeral is the little boy from the age of ultron movie btw 👀👀👀
You mean from Iron-Man 3?
STARKS *
Gosh this whole movie is so heart wrenching. From Clint losing his family to cap finally getting his dance with Peggy. Such an incredible movie
The end credit sound bit of the metal noise was a call back to the first first Iron Man Movie when Tony was building the first armor in the cave
Skipping the credits and the signing of the original 6 Avengers should be considered a crime
This! I was so excited to see their reaction to the signatures and they skimmed right over it. It's hard to blame them if they didnt already know but that credits scene still hits me hard to this day. For a lack of a better term, it's a fantastic sign off
So WandaVisom is up next right? It is my favorite marvel show tbh
I think first is Far From Home
This was my second time watching this movie since it came out because I didnt want to see Tony die again. Made my eyes water six years later still.
Why is it out of all your marvel reactions only this reaction and thor Ragnarok has my TV caster playing the video extra slow while the audio is at normal speed, if I have this reaction just playing on my phone though the video and audio both are at normal speed. And I've tried like 4 different casting apps and it does that for all of them. Guess I'll have this reaction on my phone and sync it up with the movie on my TV and just pause whenever y'all do, because idc how many times I have to resync it, I'm not missing this reaction.
Hulk and Nebula both explain it very clearly. Changing the past doesn't effect the future. Why does everyone seemingly ignore this or forget it immediately and start questioning things like Nebula killing her past self or Loki ending up in a different timeline?
Because they were talking over half of it or simply not following lol
For sure need another watch through Of the shows and movies that came after endgame. People need to undated the fact that we basically are going back to the start of phase one in the sense they need to build up new characters and the next wave of the avengers team and their all going to have their own feel to them and aspects that a different from this set of movies that took 10 years to build.and fully start to connect.
So when Bruce says "Maybe Doctor Strange made a mistake" and the Ancient One says "Or I did". That was her coming to the realization that Strange had already witnessed many other scenarios where she refused to give up the Time Stone. So only by giving it away willingly would make her realize how important it was. He saw millions of other timelines where they probably had all the rest of the Infinity Stones except for the Time Stone and The Ancient One just kept refusing to give it up.
You gonna do daredevil? That and agents of shield are the best 2 marvel shows, some of the others are pretty great. But those 2 completely outclass the rest.
They'd likely do Daredevil eventually, but probably not AOS any time soon since it'd take over 80 hours to complete it and considering it's no longer canon.
Now on to mediocre lol in all seriousness tho most of the beginning in phase 4 to 5 are actually good but you can definitely tell the original writers aren't there anymore and they started making questionable decisions
You guys have to go back and watch the endgame pre credits credits. The way they display every character from phase 1-3 is one of the best credits of all time.
Right they skipped the best part of the credits
So glad yall finally got to this emotional roller-coaster. Yall should watch some of the shows like Loki, Wandavision, and Hawk Eye.
They're still moving forward with Phase 4, including the shows starting with WandaVision.
I cant believe you guys skipped the greatest credits off all time
The only thing I hate about this movie is how they explain that time travel works. It makes no sense to me. When I think about time travel, Doctor Who and Back to the Future make way more sense in how time travel should actually work. The paradox and splitting timelines I understand, but the way time travel is explained is what ruins for me. Still, though...great movie!
Time travel only exists in the realm of fiction. So its not really supposed to make sense.
Remember what the plan for avengers 5 was, the time travel rules are messy on purpose
By going back, as soon as they get there, they create a new branching timeline. It means it's impossible to change the past of your own timeline. Even if you don't change a single thing. Just you being there creates a new timeline. The new timeline is a branch, it doesn't erase the old timeline.
Branching Timelines. They aren't actually traveling back in time, they are jumping between timelines, just emerging at different points on those timelines.
Loki brakes it down way better once they watch it
makes sense to me.
The metal clanging was Tony, in the cave with a box of scraps, making the Iron Man Mk1
While I do like how this movie starts, I dislike a few things about it... #1, how they treated Thor's depression as a joke, and #2, how selfish Rogers is. He pushes Tony to do something so risky, where he ends up leaving his daughter without a dad... and yet Rogers dips out on them to have HIS happy ending? I hate it. One of the reasons why I thought he wanted to even fix what Thanos did, was to get his best friend, Bucky, back, but NOPE. Rogers abandoned him, too. And even after everything, Thor still didn't get a happy ending if you think about it, 'cause his entire family is still dead, not even bringing Loki back... DX
This 100%
His motivation wast to bring Bucky back only. He pushed for it to happen to bring trillions back. I'm sorry but Steve's world doesn*t revolve around Bucky and it never has. Also Tony joining the mission was his own decision , Steve pushed as much as Nat and Scott. Tony eventually joined because it was the right thing to do. If you had a way to bring trillions back to grieving people wouldn't you do it? Tony would have actually been selfish if he found a way to do this and just sat on it and refused to persue it.
I'm not saying Tony did the wrong thing by time traveling back with the others, I just find it in poor taste that Rogers stayed behind IN THE PAST after Tony died in action to save everyone else. You could even say Tony's reasoning was also selfish, 'cause what motivated him to even do it was to bring Peter back. Unfortunately, Tony wasn't able to live in a world where Peter was alive again. Also, Steve's world doesn't revolve around Bucky..? Did we not just watch that happening in The Winter Soldier and Civil War? He went beyond and above to get Bucky back, to the point it was one of the final tipping stones on why he and Tony cut ties up until this movie.
and then after Civil War Bucky stayed in Wakanda and Steve went on his own with his group of Rogue Avengers on the run. Yes Bucky is important to Steve but his entire world doesn't revolve around him. That's a difference. Just bcs he wanted to help Bucky escape his programming and not get into the hands of authorities doesn't mean Bucky is Steve's whole world. Also according to the directors Steve created an alternate timeline when we went back to Peggy so who*s to say he stayed silent. We don*t know at all what became of his alternate timeline where he's lived his life in. But Ig we'll find out in Doomsday. His story isn't over yet
Not to mention that if Steve did in fact stay in the same timeline and just grow old like the Russos said he did (the writers say Steve went to a different timeline), then he stayed silent on EVERYTHING horrible that he knew about. Not just Bucky being tortured and abused by Hydra, but every single dictator, disaster, war, murder, outbreak. Just everything terrible he could have prevented. The biggest boyscout in Marvel history just said "Not my problem anymore". While I adore Steve handing off the shield to Sam, him staying in the past was a massive writing mistake.
It was the other way. The directors said "Russo also confirmed that it was possible for Steve to exist in multiple realities. “Based on everything that happened, he would have been in a branch reality and then had to have shifted over to this, so jumped from one to the other and handed the shield off,” Russo stated. Mystery solved." . It was the writers who said he stayed in the past. I'll take the word of the directors because it's the one that makes most sense
2:27:24 no squirrel girl is not the strongest, shes lost on panel/screen and shes been there and the heros still lost, what it is, is that anytime she fights someone off screen/panel, she wins. how does she win? no one knows, its never shown or explained, she just somwhow wins, so basically anytime we see her fight, shes like, low street level, anytime we hear about her fight, shes universal. very weird
This blew my mind, I think I saw this in the theater at least 10 times. It was such an incredible spectacle. I love all the callbacks to past films, even simple ones like T'Challa calling Clint by his first name, he never would have known his name if it wasn't for Clint telling him in Civil War and the fact that he still remembered was pretty cool or Hope calling Steve Cap because Scott told her that's what they call him, which is so funny because I don't think Scott ever just called him Cap, he never knew what to call him, lol. But my favorite is definitely "on your left", that always gives me chills. And the moment Cap lifts the hammer to when everyone arrives is just a masterpiece!! Probably my favorite image is Cap, alone with only a broken shield walking to Thanos' entire army, he didn't know everyone else was coming and he was prepared to die. Not enough people mention it and it's just so good, it's literally why Cap is my favorite character.
One aspect of the film that not many people notice and I think it's brilliant is after the snap and Natasha's death all the Avengers represents a stage of grief. For the snap: Depression, Thor. Anger, Clint. Denial, Bruce. Bargaining, Natasha. Tony, Acceptance. And Cap was the counselor, he was the only one that really didn't represent one as much as the others and plus he was literally a counselor in the beginning of the movie. And for after Natasha's death: Depression, Cap. Anger, Bruce. Denial, Thor. Bargaining, Clint and again Acceptance, Tony.
Canonically, Squirrel Girl has 1-v-1'd Dr. Doom AND Thanos and won against each. This movie wouldn't have been 3 hours long if she was there.
The clang is from iron man 1 when he built this thing in a cave, with a box of scraps
Cant believe they skipped the credits :(
RIP Nat! Deserved better!
I love Nat, but if losing her means gaining Yelena and the Hawkeye series, worth it.
The thing is, Captain Marvel had been using her power for five years when we see first see her in the movie. Learning to control it in a weakened state also. Her arc and story is learning who she is and that she lived a lie.
Yeah so 2020 was the year the pandemic hit, so we got no MCU projects that year and then 2021 we got hit with 4 MCU movies(Black Widow, Shang Chi, Eternals and Spider-Man NWH) so 4 movies, then we also got the shows like Wandavision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, What If…? And Hawkeye , so we got hit with 9! MCU projects and that’s when the start of Quantity vs Quality was happening and it wasn’t till last year they actually decide yeah the people were right so they started axing upcoming projects or pushing em back. But oof there’s some gold with the multiverse saga but there’s definitely a change you can notice when your in it that’s it’s just not as hyped as it once was
What's funny is if you look at the original release schedule before Covid hit, they were planning on basically releasing projects every single month. A show over the course of one to two months, then a movie with a month of conversation, then the next month another show. As much as I'm okay with that, even I know that's too much. Covid, for all the harm it did, slowing that down to what it ended up being was for the best.
A Deaux es machina in media is a problem solver that was never established before it showed up. Captain Marvel was established to be in contact and of course she'd show up once she saw the snapped return
I love you 3000 is how many minutes all the marvel movies equal.
THE GONG IS BACK BILLY
Also hell yeah endgame time
Not only do you guys have to watch all5 previous Spiderman Movies, also consider watching the Blade trilogy, 3 Fantastic 4 movies, and all the Xmen Movies in release order
Now that you've finished endgame you're free to watch the loki show, 10/10 highly recommend
Although, technically Loki season 1 is in a different phase than season 2.
The problem with Captain Marvel is that she is played by Brie Larson. Who isnt necessarily a bad actress, for example her roll in scott pilgrim is played beautifully, like the small moment between her and scott after he beats the vegan guy has a lot of subtle emotions and tells part of their history without actually saying anything. The problem is by the time she take on Captain Marvel her success seemingly has gone to her head, which leads her to not only come off as "better" than her costars but also come off as defensive of criticism or even light hearted jokes. Check out some of the interviews she did around the time Captain Marvel and Endgame came out, its very interesting.
That's called acting, they don't just do it in the movies
That was her persona for the media tour. Her humor is like that. It is not that different with Robert Downey Jr’s public persona. It’s cool ehen he does it but cool when she does it?
The end of one of the best eras in the movie industry. I actually dont think we will see something this titanic of an undertaking again.
-- Squirrel Girl has canonically 1v1'd Thanos and Doctor Doom several times
-- Tom Holland actually had no idea that he'd be filming for Tony's funeral as his first scene and was the only person that arrived in a good mood
They finally got their dance
They explained the time travel as them going to the past as their future so they can't actually change anything, the only reason Thanos was actually able to come to the present because the old Nebula used the machine to bring him from the past - not actually because the past was effected (although now I'm thinking about it there might be a plothole with how they brought his whole army without the pym particles). Just clarifying since it seems like Erik forgot, which is fair considering everything in the movie is so crazy that the details on time travel aren't gonna be at the front of your memory lol.
I'm hyped for lots of the stuff coming up! The MCU has gotten lots of hate after Endgame but imo there are some gems post Endgame (Loki, Moon Knight, Thunderbolts*, Ironheart, etc).
They've watched dbz right? Mcu time travel works the same way, branching futures from a shared past
Yeah. To keep it simple for me, I think that time is linear from the people's perspective. So at the end of the day, everyone is moving in tandem to time. If I were to make a paragraph for every character that used time travel, it becomes very confusing. So I just say as time moves, the characters move with it in their perspectives.
The clanking at the end is from when Tony originally builds his suit in the cave. The greatest sendoff in history!
You should have played through the credits to the black screen credit roll at least. Also, I'm not sure you realized, but the kid from Iron Man 3 that helped Tony was at the funeral.
Tom Holland actually improvised his line "I dont wanna go" which made the impact of his scence that heavier
“Rich 59 is poor 35” is wild… wildly accurate.
I mean I dunno, my mom is not rich and she's going to turn 63 this year but she looks like 45-50. Even my dad who aged worse than her (same age) still doesn't look like a senior citizen. Maybe media just likes to portray 60 year olds as looking much older than they do in real life. Kinda like how high schoolers are portrayed as looking like adults.
I do like that peggy never showed anyone her husband for 50 years
There was a theory that Steve Rogers was around during her time; however, he could never show his presence whatsoever. If you look back at Civil War, I believe, you would see Peggy and her daughters in the picture, but there was no man around. There is a theory that Steve Rogers was there during those times but couldn't been seen or else Endgame would never had happened.
I still feel like there had to be another way to kill Thanos. Ik there was like 3 other people who could have wear the gauntlet did the snap and survive
Well Doctor Strange was only able to go through 14 million timelines to see which one would result in victory. Could he have burden to see more? Maybe but I would like to think that he is experiencing all of that pain, emotionally and physically. So he stopped when he finally found the one.
Im still thinking he could have cut off Thanos arm in Infinity war with one of his portals like Wong did to the big guy in the beginning. Then they could have given us a bigger villain for end game
The public was told it was Thanos. Steve mentioned his name during the support group meeting.
Fun fact: The teen in the back of the funeral is the little kid from the 3rd Iron Man movie. Also I'm so excited for the Spiderman movies and Loki. 😁
I will never forget seeing this in a packed theatre; the part where Cap catches the hammer is just permanently seared into my brain because i yelled "Kick his ass Cap!" at the screen while everyone was screaming their heads off, just epic movie in general. Also the final sound byte at the end of the credits is the same same sound that is played when Tony forged the first suit in the first movie.
Man i'm loving the MCU watch!!!! Y'all should also check out THE BOYS!!!! It's a gritty dark superhero show with some light humor it would be perfect for yall and the channel if you havent watched it already its a masterpiece in its class
Bruh, I'd watch that every single day they release a new episode. It'll be done before day's end.
Erik getting caught up on time travel paradoxes and killing past Nebula or Loki leaving the normal timeline with the tesseract really shows how deep the back to the future time travel shit runs. They literally said in THIS movie that it isn't how time travel works and he kept thinking it was.
Time travel has you traveling between different universes and you are traveling to the past/future of a different universe. Anything you do to the people in that universe does not affect you and anything that happens to you will not affect them.
Ultimately I think it's supposed to seem a bit messy, and I'd say just wait, he'll get his explanation soon enough
You expect Erik to pay attention or use his brain at all?
And as you have it means old Steve was from another universe which means he had to use the quantum realm to go back to a join in timelines to then move forward on the main, but future things say that can't be. But comic time travel contradicts all the time, so...
Old Steve was from our universe, he returned just not at the planned time or in the planned place. Keep in mind he has the shield, which was destroyed in our time and didn't go back with him. The only way that shield can exist is if it was taken from a different timeline. So in the other timeline he lived out his life, got the shield, grew old, then returned to our timeline with that timeline's shield to give it to Sam. All he had to do was return a minimum of a few hours early so he could be chilling on the bench, or even return right on time just not in the designated spot.
Time travel is a bit fiddly here though because they say one thing about it, another for the stones specifically , but then later that also gets... messy.
Welcome to the dark ages after spiderman
Nah, Phase 4+5 is still majority good stuff
So pessimistic.
Paul Rudd looking the same after five years isn't surprising, really.
Loved this. It is an emotional roller rollercoaster. My one critique is you all should have watched the end credits with all the actors, past and present. important. Especially with the Avengers. It's gut-wrenching.
Also, in the opening they had all the dusted heroes absent, like Black Panther, Wanda, Dr. Strange.
Here's a cringe thought...Cap went back in time and married Peggy after kissing her niece Sharon Carter in Civil War. So that version of Cap who traveled to the past, if he ever interacted with the niece as a kid, knows that he kisses her in the future... Which is creepy AF lol
Yeah, it ain't great. Also shows they may not have fully planned or thought it out.
They definitely didn't lol
there is a comic version where Thor does the final snap and all he loses is an arm and he gets a cool godly Uru metal replacement one
It so happened that you guys have released your Endgame reaction on my 25th birthday. And I find it kinda symbolic cuz Marvel and MCU has been a big part of my life. Lately tho, I've been paying less and less attention to it: a mixture of busy adult life and perceived decline in quality of their films. When y'all started reacting to the Infinity Saga, it served as a good reason for me to revisit these movies, and remember just how fucking fun they were. Seeing your faces and reactions to some of the major moments, whether you've seen it before or not, was like re-living my own experience of watching MCU in theatres as a teenager. So from the bottom of this Billy's heart, thank you.
Happy belated birthday.
I read through Thanos' Marvel Wiki page a while ago, and you're right, Sean, Thanos is indeed in love with the physical incarnation of Death. I don't remember the exact reason, though, but at some point she rejects him so hard that she makes him immortal in order to prevent him from spending an eternity in her kingdom. Comic book Thanos (most specifically, the one from Earth-616, which is what the MCU is based off of although it's not the actual same multiverse) has a very long run, constantlly switching from bad to good to bad again, encountering many heroes, travelling outside of the multiverse, and even surviving the extinction of a multiverse that had to be rebuilt by Mister Fantastic. It's absolutely wild.
The only thing I remember when reviewing him was that he wanted to do the snap in order to impress Lady Death and make her love him. That's all I know. Funny enough in that continuity, Lady Death loves Deadpool.
Hence why at one point Thanos actually cursed Deadpool to never be able to die so that Deadpool could never be with Death. Like bro Thanos, move on, she said no.
The sound at the end of the credits was reference to Iron Man when he first forged the mark one while captive.
I do hope you'll pretty please watch What If Season 1 as well. It does tie into things and the episodes are short. :)
Cassie was 10-11 in ant man in the wasp. in ENd game she is supposed to be 17. the actess is 19 -20 at the time of filming.
This might be to much but i would love for u guys to watch Toby & Andrews Spidey movies!
Soon
We finally made it to the end guys, can you believe it? I honestly thought this journey would take the whole year, now with this out of the way I'm looking forward to them catching up on ALL the Spiderman movies.
They're continuing the Phases, Billy. And after this is Far From Home.
Cant wait for the tv shows wandavision loki agatha and Ms marvel Omg its gonna be a ride
more Pokemon Movies again :D
Wait until battleworld it will be way more epic
He didnt come up with the infinity stones they where already a thing in the comics
I'd say (not having seen the interview) was Gunn means making the Tesseract a stone and maybe how they could sprinkle them through.
I didn’t say he came up with them. I said he came up with the story of them and how they fit into these movies
The sound that plays at the end of the credits was when Tony was building his first suit in the cave
Think of the timeline stuff like Adventure Time. When Prismo granted a wish, he makes another universe that alters certain events to make the wish come true. Like when Finn wished that the Lich never existed, the Nose-Finn universe was created and is a different timeline than the world that we know. When the Avengers were doing stuff in the past, it changed THAT particular timeline, not the timeline that we have been watching, so OUR Peggy wasn’t married to Steve, but a DIFFERENT Peggy was. That’s why the world we have been watching doesn’t change when past events are altered. In the words of Smart Hulk, “changing the past doesn’t change the future”
you're good it was a different peggy, steve just comes back at the end assumedly when she dies
If I am wrong, anyone please let me know. I’m not trying to accidentally spread misinformation lol
I believe you got it right. Whatever happened in the timeline where Steve stayed and got married doesn't impact "our" timelime.
i am a bit sad you scrolled trough the end credits, because they are truly awesome when everyone of the actors writes their autograph tehre its so emotional its basicly the end scene for this
So the sound at end of credits was tony working on the suit in cave in iron man - was a tribute to the character playing the sound of his beginning at the end, so to speak
the end credits thing was tony making his first suit in the cave
HAIL THE RAT IN THE VAN. IT SAVED THE WORLD
Sound in the end refer to the first Iron man movie. Specifically to the scene in the cave
01:24:04 this is where the Loki tv show picks up, I can't wait for you guys to watch it, it is SO FUCKING GOOD!
Lol where’d you guys read James Gunn wrote the infinity saga storyline in 3 minutes that’s definitely not remotely true. Gunn didn’t get hired by Marvel until 2012 for Guardians specifically.
They said it was an interview, you can just google James Gunn infinity stones. You'll find stuff easily
1:10:02 is the last time you see all 6 of the original Avengers in the MCU together on screen. It also happens to be the first time they were all on screen together. Poetic.
Funny enough in this movie Fat Thor is acctualy built the same way the Thor in Norse mythology really looks like.
Awww I wish you guys watched the credits with the actor names too but i guess it wouldn't have hit the same as it did in the cinema . We were all waiting for the post credits and then they hit us with those amazing actor credits . It hit different for ot6 Avengers.
As for the Peggy Steve thing. There's actually an Agent Carter show that came out on ABC in 2013 way before the Disney+ shows and there they confirm that she actually married a different guy she met after Steve went in the ice and before she formed SHIELD and had a couple kids with that guy. That's who she was refering to in Winter Soldier. That show is considered canon to the MCU according to the Disney+ timeline lists/categories so Steve definitely changed stuff when he went back. The way I understood it is that when he went back to be with her he created an alternate timeline where him and Peggy grew old together. They don't actually grow old together in the past of the main timeline of the universe . That's how I understood it at least. It's funny tho because I remember they asked both the directors and the writers of the movie after release which of the two is true ( if he and Peggy lived their lives in an alternate timeline or if he and Peggy did that in the past of the main timeline) and they each had different answers to that. Directors said alternate and Writers said in the past of the main timeline. They haven'T really adressed it since tho
Also imo the problem with Phase 4-5 wasn*t that they released too many movies but it was the tv shows. In 2021-2023 they released 3 movies a year same as 2017-2019. But the tv shows were the ones who oversaturated the universe bcs introducing too many heroes and characters too keep track of and making people feel like you need to do *homework* to understand the movies. Movies were in a normal amount
Only 2021 had 4 movies and that was because of the backlog created cause of the pandemic.
Man watching this reaction, this movie still gives me chills and makes me cheer during epic moments and emotional in others
The metal clanging sound in the very end after the credits is Tony making his first iron man suit in the cave
Endgame made me tear up same with Guardians 1 and 2. But guardians 3 made me cry, holy. Can't wait for you to reach it!
The sound after the credits is the sound of Tony in the first Iron Man, in the cave, hammering and making he’s first suit.
This film was the only time I saw a film where at the end, an entire cinema stood and clapped throughout the credits
END GAME TIME BABY!
the end credit thing It's the sound of him hammering metal to build the Mark I suit — symbolizing the beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and honoring Tony’s legacy as the one who started it all.
So interms of the shows, they are very hit or miss with people, but specifically with the first 3, people love Wandavision and loki and are very mixed on thr falcon, winter soldier show.
I think in general Loki and Wandavision are considered the best ones
And What If. :D
i love this movie but im so excited for wandavision and loki, they are my favorite of all the mcu, all of phase four is not as bad as people say, i think the criticisms are valid, especially with overworking and underpaying CGI artists bc they are constantly rewriting things, but some of the best stuff comes out of the next phases of marvel and as a comic fan i like how comic bookie the world becomes cuz everyone is just used to aliens and magic
I'm assuming at the end is Steve just popping back to this timeline to say goodbye and then going back to his new one. It still raises so many question though. Him meeting Red Skull again on Vormire, him living through Hydra's rebirth inside SHIELD (and presumably doing something about it), him not mentioning the fact that he made out with Peggy's favourite niece...
the shows are all good except for one.
Me preying🙏🏾 for the marvel Netflix shows in the future
Damn I'm kinda hurt they skipped the initial end credits
You guys seriously need to watch the HISHE video about how Cap put the stones back. It reveals a lot of plot holes.
I vote they watch all the MCU HISHE videos!
The anvil you hear is the auido from the first iron man when tony is making the original suit in the cave. The more important end credit part for me was the part you skipped where they have a tribute to the original Avengers.
And now you can watch Loki, which I highly recommend
The clanging after the credits was the sound of Tony making the first iron suit in the cave
Also the sound at the end is a call back to Tony working on his original Iron Man suit.
Dang, I had hoped they would watch the OG avengers signing their names in the credits. :’( Oh well
Same bro
I fondly remember going to see this movie on opening night, but for the dumbest reason. I went with my best friend and his cousin to a 9PM showing and we were all insanely baked. Due to the uh, condition, I was in, I passed out at some point during the whole time traveling sequence, and I got woken up by Thanos’s ship destroying the compound. Still an enjoyable experience of course, but like, I was asleep for Black Widow’s last scene, I don’t think I was fully aware of what happened to her until the day after. I was too high during the whole final battle scene to notice that she wasn’t even there lmfao
i just had surgery yesterday and now i'm hwere watching endgames with them and all the rest of the billy's
1:41:56 That IS him. the movie was filmed before he died. Endgame was filmed before Captain Marvel
Relating to the 'being a random normal person on the other side', imagine how many disabled and ill people died at home because their caretakers disappeared and there was nobody to come check on them. How many babies and kids starved to death, locked in a house. Like if you actually take the time to think about what it would mean for people to randomly disappear, it is truly horrifying.
16:21 Every time I hear this part I remind myself of the Toon Sandwich video.
"I know it will.... cause they've already announced Spider-Man 2, Black Panthers 2, and Guardians 3."
I’ve cried tears of joy on my birthday
Isnt the next spider man movie next?
I think so, but if I remember correctly I think they made a comment that they haven't seen any of andrew Garfields spiderman movies.
Just to add on James Gunn created the quick explanation of infinity stones the concept of them already existed
Been scrolling to see if anyone else noticed. He presented the idea but didn’t create. Either way made the greatest phase of marvel imo
Yeah that's what I was thinking when Sean said that haha
Tony Stark built this in a cave with a box of scraps!
9:28 "just bitches" I love that
Ego filled assumption here maybe but, did... did this open up with Erik anr ruff shoutin out my comment bout Spidey and Groot? I'm sure others said it but... Imma just go with mine. This is a great Friday. Excited for this!
I can’t wait for WandaVision it’s the best show in my opinion
Rip Tony stark my love will always remember you forever I love you 3000 as well as black widow 🥺❤️
Babe wake up, it's endgame time
Not only is this my absolute favorite marvel film, but it was my absolute favorite movie theater experience of all time! I was lucky enough to see an early screening (a day before ir released everywhere) with 3 of my cousins, my best friend, and nobody talked throughout the movie because people paid hundreds to see it early and didn't want to get kicked out. The absolute giddiness I had throughout this whole film was palpable.
Edge of my seat in the final hour 30 or so. The laughter, the joy, the tension, the theater erupting with cheering, the tears...this is an experience I will remember for the rest of my life. 💜
AAAAH!
We are in the End Game folks!
Once that hammer flew back into Steve's hand, the biggest cheer I have ever heard in the theater occurred. 💜
Thank you guys so much for this reaction...I've been looking forward to this for several weeks now and given that this last week has been very difficult for me...I really needed this to end the week strong in a fun way. So thank you. 💜
Let's go, i am so excited to watch you're guys reaction to this movie!!!

from the Tomorrowverse
WE'RE IN THE ENDGAME NOW BILLYYYYY!!!
The sound at the end was a callback to Tony hammering the anvil in the cave back in Iron Man 1. Full circle
