   Kang is only in 1 movie and that’s it, when it comes to phase 5 there seems to be no actual direction so it’s good to start Marvel Netflix with Daredevil as an extra if you have the time

    I think there are a few clues to show that He Who Remains is still being a whole liar/manipulator but the biggest one is Loki's sword.

    If He Who Remains truly orchestrated every moment up to the Citadel so that these exact versions of Loki and Sylvie get there then the ONLY reason to choose the timeline where Kid Loki gives our Loki a sword is to facilitate this duel at the end. Which means that he definitely was lying about not knowing what happens after the "threshold" moment. Lying about that calls every single other thing he says into question.

    You will also notice that Sylvie was very specifically primed to make this duel happen by having Miss Minutes plant the idea in Sylvie's head at the door that Loki still wants a throne. This is on TOP of cultivating a particularly hardened Sylvie by choosing the version that grew up hunted across thousands of apocalypses with no support system, i.e. family, friends, lovers, etc. Then we get to the office and he repeats the idea that Sylvie can't trust Loki with his "You think you can trust this guy?" remark. And voilà, Sylvie is perfectly situated to not trust Loki. Then he was very careful to say there were only 2 choices and gives them a ticking clock for urgency which doesn't allow them time to think. Give them both a sword and he has everything exactly the way he wants it to get the outcome he needs.

    Ultimately I'm more on Sylvie's side of killing him. However, I think they probably could've talked to each other and come up with a plan to give themselves more time to find a way to kill him without causing mayhem. With more time they could also figure out how to stop the other Kang Variants and allow the timelines to be free without destroying each other. But He Who Remains chose his Loki versions too carefully to ensure that could never happen.

    So to your point at the end about how much Kangs(Majors) character is involved in further phase 4 projects. He’s not, that was also a lot of fan issue at the time. Before the charges popped up Kang doesn’t get referenced anywhere but in Antman 3. A lot of the phase 4 projects felt like isolated incidents that should’ve been talked about more among the characters but aren’t.

    if Doctor Strange 2 and ant man 3 made more money they would have just recast Jonathan majors, they do it all the time, even with main characters, they already built into the lore that variants can look different. The reason they scrapped their plan is bc everything multiverse marvel has done except for Loki has been received either mixed or poorly. but what sucks is we are still getting a multiverse story for the next avengers, but now it's gonna just be all nostalgia bait to get people to buy tickets.

    So yeah, he was supposed to be the next big bad but the lack of interest in phase 4/5 plus the charges against him made marvel scrap his avengers movie, they never filmed anything and he has been replaced by rdj as Dr. Doom, but he will get a resolution to his story in loki season 2

       I never knew that. I always thought it was the exact moment Sylvie made the decision she was gonna kill him and because his life was coming to an end, his perception was reverted back to normal where he can't see what's about to happen/his own death.
