Solo Leveling S2 Episode 1-2 Reaction
This was one of Cersei's stupidest decisions throughout the entire show (and that's saying something). Theres a reason the faith were forbidden to raise armies, and a reason that crown and faith tended to keep out of each others business, the high septon didn't have the authority to name or unname a king and the crown didn't have the authority to interfere in the faith's leadership. By putting this cult leader in charge, and allowing his followers to arm themselves to defend his new position, she has set a very dnagerous precedent, and opened the door for him and his successors to likewise meddle in royal affairs.
wild that people would have the nerve to complain about y'all calling her Khaleesi when mfs used to call Emilia Clarke Khaleesi to her face in public.
how on earth would bran be on another continent ?
As a book fan I cannot express how much I DESPISE the change of marrying Sansa to Ramsay. In the books it's Sansa's serving maid posing as Arya that the Lannisters send to the Boltons. Baelish giving Sansa to the Boltons makes NO sense for his character.
This was the first sign to me of D&D losing interest.
I can't remember when, but there were the rumours of their next projects and potential with SW (before it was confirmed and obvs dropped later) and I always thought "I hope they don't rush it".. it never made sense to me whatsoever.
It's an absolutely braindead move from someone who is supposed to be one of if not the most cunning character in the entire series.
I'd say this is the start of D&D losing interest in making this show but let's be honest they, and a lot of the higher positions during shooting, were always lazy. Not hiring intimacy coordinators in the sex scene-packed first season should have got them fired right out the gate and their lazy, cheap asshole of a stunt coordinator ended the career of a stunt performer while shooting S8E3.
It's the same lazy and cheap behavior that led to Alec Baldwin committing manslaughter on the Rust set.
Sansa stay losing. Her character arc is so dark. And Margie plays Tommen like a fiddle, the poor boy. But they could both do worse. I do feel like Margie could shape into something she could truly love though. She plays the game so well.
Also don't know if you guys noticed, but the High Sparrow is from Pirates of the Carribean, he's Elizabeth's father
I forgot just how fast the wheels flew off after S4 ended
I need an explanation. Other than the attempts at comedy in this episode, this is still firmly Thrones. Even the comedy is not that bad tbh, especially compared to the later seasons. I genuinely dont understand the bandwagon of hating seasons 5 and 6. Are the master pieces like the first few seasons? No. But the wagon absolutely trudges on wheels in tact
Honestly, I don't get why people hate stuff as much as they do.
Tbh I actually didn't mind a lot of stuff all the way up to S8 ... S7 was enjoyable enough for me, my only issue is that it sped up and too much
S8 was just too fast. It had at least 2-3 seasons worth of content packed in.
I probably was okay with about 80% of the outcomes of the characters it's just that it didn't feel natural to get where they got to at the speed they got to it.
S5 goes on pretty well, a few little decisions being made never made sense to me , but there were no MAJOR plot holes yet imo 🤷🏻♂️
You can't reason with the number of 'fans' who do nothing but bash, and berate every reactors comment section over how "trash the show was" or how "they ruined it." They live to hate watch and hate comment, nothing else. The same people mind you that said for years that "George Martin would save us all with the REAL ending" lol the man who wrote the 5th book of gibberish with no structure at all. This show is still one of the greatest shows of all time. No amount of crying hate watchers will change that
I've said something similar above but I agree with most of what you have said. GoT will always be a top 10 show regardless of how it ended.
My biggest issue was S8 and how rushed it was, which we know for sure it was. HBO wanted at least 2 more full length seasons to take it to 10 seasons (so I've seen anyway) and D&D clearly had had enough..
I'm not too mad about how most of it ended or even how most characters end up (most that is, definitely not some);but what did really bother me is how fast it happened.
So I don't hate watch at all nor would I say GoT was ruined , it was just disappointingly rushed 🤷🏻♂️ nothing really wrong with s5-7 mostly imo though. Has some of my favourite episodes ever like HH and BotB etc
In case no one has brought it up Ilyn Payne was basically written out of the show because his actor developed (I believe) cancer. In the Book the storyline Bronn is involved with this season is actually Ilyn in the book. Though Ilyn can't speak so there will be considerably fewer dick jokes in the book version.
Podrick isn’t Ilyn’s son. He’s his cousin and part of a lesser branch of the Payne family which is why Tywin didn’t know who he was until he was set to be executed for stealing the ham.
When you think about it, Theon’s arc is a lot like Sokka’s. Sokka gets the misogyny beaten out of him and Theon gets the misogyny cock chopped out of him.
Also at 00:13:27 Theon is thinking about the two kids he burned and hung in that spot.
In the books Tomund was 8 when he became King and married Margery
Oh come on, im sure ramsey will be quite the kind loving gentleman to sansa…I know would be going through all kinds of changes if she married me😋
This has been the worst day for my mental health. Ive worked a week straight without a day off and Im two days off my antidepressants until I can get an appointment. Thank god something goes right today! GOT!
When the show was airing, most fans just called her Dany.
Janos crying and admitting that he was afraid totally pissed Jon off, and he got a little revenge for his betraying Ned Stark.
Slynt is definitely made to look a little more conniving and pathetic in the show, though. Artistic license I guess.
pod is a distant cousin of ilyn payne.
this is the episode that made me quit the show idk it was so depressing and when i tried to go back later people told me it doesnt get better. So time to watch the final cpl seasons with yall for the first time.
Yeah nah Jamie and Bron are going to Dorne which is in the south of Westeros. Tyrion and Varys are across the sea to the east, on another continent
I vote for Daenerys to now be referred to as Miss T!
Margery convinces Tommen to send Cersi black to Castely Rock and Cersi figures it out. That why she goes to Margery and tells her she’ll give her anything she want. She’s really saying, "You win. You can have what ever you want, just don’t send me a way from my son."
LIttle finger in the show is not nearly as smart as his book version. but even here, the multiple threads he was weaving to give himself so many options was great... too bad the writers couldn't stuck the landing.
What’s going through Tyrion’s mind when Jorah grabs him is, “Shit, my head is going on a pike.”
Sansa's story this season was an interesting choice. All I'll say is her story is different in the book, but it's a change I think makes sense in the TV show.
The changes to Dorne are to me still the worst changes from book to show. Even little changes that I wish were closer to the book don't bother me at all. But like... imo Dorne is the one time where I'm legit angry about the changes.
Awesome, always a great day with a GoT reaction. The man who plays the High Sparrow also plays Elizabeth's dad in Pirates of the Caribbean Governor Swan. Only noticed the other day rewatching it.
I think we can agree that Sansa has the worst luck in marriage proposals
