In the books, the nights watch gathers people from the surrounding villages, including moles town. Essentially refugees from the raids that the Thenns, Ygritte, and Tormund perform. They boost the numbers for the nights watch slightly, but a play more as something bigger to protect than just the castle. Also, in the books, there are no walls on castle black, save THE wall of course, so the southern attackers are able to assault the nights watch without scaling any walls, just head on attack. Regardless if the books are ever finished, they are masterpieces, and i believe Martins estate will in no way allow for the story to die out. The amount of money they could make, even if they just use notes hes made to complete the story would be ridiculous. Read them!!!
if you guys never watched the series The Walking Dead I highly recommend it, especially the uncensored version which is on the DVD

if proper used AI is the greatest tool ever made. as so many i have the craziest ideas in my mind but i never had the artistic possibility to make them into reality, i cant even draw a stick figure and if i draw a dog people think its a pizza ... but i trained a long time with ai and i can do whole scenes awesome artpieces for my d&d group all the characters the enemies everything ...
just to evilnise AI because "its coming to get us all" is stupid ... its a tool it need rules and proper useage but if done, its the best that exist, especially if you do work on one artpiece a long time with the AI so not just 1 comment and its done but change it over and over ...

AI does have incredible power. In cancer detection and environmental protection for example. Generative AI however, scrapes the artwork and photography produced by humans in order to do... what? At worst, create illegal and harmful content, at best, for personal use which still violates copyright. Generative AI, as it is now is not harmless, even in the way you described.
We arn't trying to villainize generative AI, or act like it is inherently evil. But there needs to be greater restrictions on it, greater protections for humans, especially when it comes to organisations and companies who have and will abuse generative AI for profit. What stuck out to me though was your mention of accessibility in the last sentence. I can't help but completely disagree. I am an artist. I have damaged hand tendons. The world is filled with artists with disabilities, that doesn't stop them from creating, it causes us to create in a way that suits our abilities best. Drawing in the way I used to physically hurts, so I have to adapt and change to fit my abilities as they are now.
Artistic talent is a lie, a romantic one that tells us that you cannot create art. That you have to rely on something that takes advantage of every other artist in the world. Its false. Artistic skills take time, energy and dedication, and its not objective. "Good artist" "bad artist" its all lies. You can be a creator, be it through your words, or the skills you learn. AI atrophies that creative muscle, while harming creatives at the same time. Until nothing you create is truly yours. It "belongs" to AI.
I hope this reply doesn't come across as hostile or argumentative, but I do hope you consider a different perspective. The people against AI art arn't trying to gatekeep you, or harm you. We are trying to show you that artistic talent is for everyone, at any age and at any ability. You don't need a company to profit off you to do so.
Artists who practiced for years and years and made a career are faced with the potential end of their careers. That will not be allowed.

This is the episode where I completely lost my shit, Ygrittes death just hits me so hard because our of all the couples this show has I was hoping Jon and Ygritte made it. The way he held her with the Stark music playing in the background as the battle went on, absolute cinema. Perfection, literal perfection.
I always look forward to episode 9's, it either entails a battle or a Stark death. Season 1 episode 9 Ned dies, 2x9 The Battle of Blackwater, 3x9 Robb and Catelyn die, and now 4x9 the battle at The Wall.

They actually do have official history and lore videos that go along with each season. You just have to have someone watch a few of them first because they do contain some spoilers for House of the Dragons. I think it's season 5 &6? The rest are fine, informative and narrated by the cast from the perspective of the character so you can get two versions of the same legends and history. It's pretty cool.
