Sean’s Locker Room – Episode 1 – Sneaker Unboxing
When you finish season 5 you guys NEED to watch Coldplays Game of Thrones the musical
i love whenever one of you cries, "nOoOoOo!!" when the episode ends and it's time to go home. it shows how invested you are. these reactions have been incredible from the beginning. i'm glad to see the immersion :D i was soooo excited for this portion of the show!
Yall should watch the history’s and lore.
As much as Tyrion hates Cersei, he loves Jaime morw. Revealing the truth of her children's parentage (even if it was believed) would hurt his brother too, it was never an option for him.
*more*, sorry, typo.
sadly you are the show's peak imo. This and the next few episodes are the best "arc" after this the show stays good for a while but is definitely of a lower quality when it comes to writing.
Another fun fact about Pycelle. He was one of the rebel pilots in the original Star Wars trilogy. I think Wedge Antilles 😎
General Veers. He's also in one of the Indiana Jones movies, and a James Bond film. He is also the voice of the giant spider in Chamber of Secrets
Why is this episode stuttering? It's uncomfortable to watch :\
Mine stuttered in the beginning but then it stabilized. Weird
On Dany letting Hizdar bury his father - the moment reminds me of how earlier Tyrion has Ned’s remains sent to the Stark camp as a show of good faith. Yes, they made a special of Ned’s execution and desecrated his remains, but eventually they allowed his remains to be returned to his ancestral burial grounds. Makes me wonder (as a show-only consumer) if burial rites are somewhat universal (in that they should be respected at least for all high borns) in the same way as guest rite
Am I the only one who gets the feeling this is all prewatched? I'm just saying there have been some questionable moments
Nah man, they've been reacting for awhile, and not just reactors but when you watch enough TV, you can get a good jist of plot possibilities and writing tropes. They are definitely not pre watching.
yes, it's just you
Tywin - "Dragons havent won a war in 300 years."
Yeah and dragons havent been a thing in 300 years either. Before that they obviously won wars all the time. Loved that prideful logic. This thing that always won stopped winning when it stopped being a thing, surely its useless.
The best part of this is that it blew up Twyin's plans for Jaime and him giving up his knighthood and fathering another son.
Man, I wish people won't be like that, setting expectations for characters or plots before they happen like "god I hate her" or "the next episode's twist is insane" like that's all spoiler territory. Like yes Shae is a fucking rat but say all that after the reveal, omfg.
Agree with that 100% And on a similar note people need to stop sending hate to reactors for not liking characters who kinda suck before they get a redemption arc. The reactors don’t know if a character is going to get better….. that would be a spoiler and their reactions in the moment of watching are completely valid.
did something go wrong in the recording? the episode seem like it its running at like 10FPS
YESSSSS. I been WAITING. This is arguably my favorite episode of the show. Tyrion's monologue is one of the most remembered/loved scenes of the show. This is the scene that CEMENTED Dinklage for me, the man is truly gifted. And everything with Renly ~I mean Ramsay~ and Reek/Theon... This episode just holds you. So excited for more.
Also- sidenote: haven't seen other people talking about it so maybe it was on my end, but the show's footage seemed to be slightly choppy, dropping frames. The video of you guys was fine, and the show audio was fine, but the show's visuals were slightly off. It seemed weird. Thought something with the new studio maybe? Dunno, thought I'd mention.
You guys gotta turn the volume up for the show. At normal volume you are loud and I can’t hear the show at all.
This is the episode that solidified how much worse (in a good way) a villain Ramsey is vs Joffre. Both are cruel and sadistic but Joff was a coward. Ramsey, no shirt, knives out, has got that dog in him, pun intended.
I bet when the books were first rolling out people talked about how bad Joffrey was and GRRM was like “Hold my beer”
56:40 excuse me ??
You know what he meant, Ken. That Joffrey is her bastard son.
To be fair, all of their memories are shit. Lmao.
lol yeaaa Shae’s not a fan favorite, but Tyrion is.
Also, Alfie Allen was acting his ASS off as Reek/Theon in this episode. His performance is so upsetting (as it should be).
There is at least one person who is a massive fan of Shae one George R. R. Martin. I know of 2 performances he complimented the actor to say he liked their performance more than his writing and those are Shae and one of the main characters in House of the Dragon
I'm glad that at season 4 episode 6 you "understand" the Shae hate :)
Awesome guys! We're just gettin warmed up boys haha! I know the schedule has been hectic, hope you guys are able to start binging these soon!
The first 4 seasons of GOT are straight up the best TV ever made. Period.
Also Tywin is the best. He dominates and steals the show every single scene he's in.
Book Tyrion and show Tyrion are quite different in some ways. For example in the books Tyrion is super down to have sex with Sansa, which is even weirder cause she's only 12-13 in the books when they're married. They gave his morals a boost in the show so people feel better about rooting for him.
As GRRM says, "Ive got to admit i kind of like Tyrion Lannister. Hes the villain of course, but hey, theres nothing like a good villian."
Hey sean. Make the boys watch metalocolypse and record the reaction. I need it!!!! Lol
One of the best episodes in the entire series. I'm so excited for this react.
Tyrion is a beloved character in gots, usually is in the top 3 talks, right there with Jon, and Daenerys.
FYI His name is Ramsey Snow. ( hes a bastard like John)
Whether you react to it or not, now that we're here, look up 'Trial by Dance alternate ending'. Looking for a 31 second clip.
Them: Thats a big ass dragon! If its not full grown, its gotta be close!
Me: XD Hahaha No.
The actor who plays Tyrion (peter dinklage) won multiple awards for his portrayal of Tyrion, and many people highlight his speech during this trial as being one of the main reasons.
yeah, I knew about the speech even before watching the show; also i think it was the scene they showcased when he won the Emmy for that year.
This episode was just amazing.
not to be overly critical of the show, but personally, i always felt Shae's actress played her testimony in a way that kinda felt like she was making said testimony under duress. *spoilers for the books* in the books, it makes sense to be a genuine confession/testimony because Shae was never actually in love with Tyrion, he just deluded himself into thinking so, but in the show, i feel like she was written to be completely in love him and I feel like the testimony being genuine feels out of character in a way that feels like the show was trying to merge book Shae and show Shae in a way that just didn't work.
The treatment of Theon is waaay beyond the line of being considered reasonable karma for his actions, it's just viewed as such because his characer arc is centered around it. There's a lot, like basically most characters, that have committed equally horrible atrocities, if not worse on many cases, that doesn't get acknowledged nearly as much. Obviously that's the way the story is conveyed, but when actually reflecting on it you quickly realize his actions aren't even comparable to those of others, despite them being seen in a more positive light among fans
Favorite Tyrion moment is in this episode. I loved this episode, felt like a trial, even though you know it's a farce.
YESSSS favorite episode so far, literally every single scene was amazing imo
Are you guy ever gonna react to West World? Or maybe you all saw it already? If not, it is undoubtedly an EXCELLENT choice. It's also from HBO and at least as good as Game of Thrones (better, IMO)
I would LOVE a Westworld reaction!
