To expand on the exchange with Tywin and Jammie because the show never really flushes it out. All the Great houses of Westeros as In The ones with generations of history for the most part have an ancestral heirloom Valyrian Steel sword Ice is Starks, Longclaw for the mormonts now John Snows, etc the Lanisters had a Valyarian sword but it was lost so you can understand why Tywin would have a mission to restore a symbol of honor to his house plus the added joy he got from destroying Ice and forged two for the lanisters one to Jaime (Oathkeeper) and the other that Sean has is the Bitch Blade(Widows Wail)
I know you said you're not really a "fandom" type of guy, and I appreciate that... but y'all really should consider watching the Histories and Lore videos for each season after you finish the seasons. It gives you some really great information, and it's only about an hour long video or so for each one. Totally worth adding to your reactions.
You said it best, the show is just so fucking good. The ending be damned, I didn’t read the books, and I still find the show bingeworthy. Watching it for the 4th time through but via YOUR eyes is an absolute treat.
We still have 2 books pending and many of us are worried... George ain't gonna leave forever.

Even though season 3 Daario is a bit more book accurate, though not as flamboyant, I'm definitely a Daario 2.0 stan.

Robb was cool, but Arya, Jon, Tyrion, Daenarys, Jaime, Tywin, Littlefinger, Varys, Ygritte, Theon, Sansa, etc... are way more interesting
Just in case you guys see this you have seen the Mountain again he was recast last season he was the really big guy in the room when Tywin was having Aria serve him food and drinks and then recast a third time for this season and rest of the show he stays the same actor he is played by the Worlds Strongest Man Halfthor Bjronsson

season 4 is the most boring to me. Then again im one of the few people who have no complaints about this show. Its a top 3 of all time for me. I loved the ending. The later seasons where fantastic.
Lol I think season 4 is literally peak GoT. Latter seasons were trash. Just my opinion though. Everyone enjoys what they enjoy and I'm not here to take that away from anyone. Testament to how great this show is though.
i loved the later seasons ,i just think they were rushed but the outcome is 1:1 what i predicted it to be in season 2 so i cant complain that the show literally did what i said will happen xD

Prince Oberyn, by far my favorite side character in this show.

I'm excited for this season. Might be the season I remember most. My cousin had seen the first three seasons, so when I got to S4 we watched the show together. Amazing reactions.

yeah, I agree in a sense; I think season 4 episodes are all amazing, and while Season 5 has some stark (pun unintended) lows, when episodes are peak, they are PEAKKKK
