   Really, is no one going to point out the fact that the monster, the Abzorbaloff was designed by a nine-year-old boy who won a Blue Peter competition to have his creation in an episode of Doctor Who.

      Read from another commenter on another reactor's reaction that the creature wasn't nearly as cool/big as it was supposed to be and that the boy was disappointed. Didn't bother to verify either of those things though.

         That is in fact true, it ultimately had to do with the fact that it was early in the revival and they just didn’t have the budget for a one off episode, the whole reason for “Doctor Lite” episodes is because of budgetary reasons because of the fact that they are more easily produced. Also, another little interesting fact is that “Love & Monsters” was being shot simultaneously with the two part story “The Impossible Plant” & “The Satan Pit”

   lol i thought he would at least tell them who the very first Doctor traveled with… it’s not really a spoiler kinda common knowledge that the shows banks on you to know but also uses the little hints to remind you of it because of the time war so you can ask yourself well what happened….

      It's really not common knowledge, though. Among die-hard fans and classic Who fans it might be, but that's still a minority of the viewers of the reboot.
